It's one of your better options for poking out. I default to 2B out of habit, but 6B is a frame faster. As far as I know, the proration is exactly the same for 5B too, and has the advantage of not being shorter than your 5A.

I usually practice in survival, but I don't feel like I'm getting better with the game's system

If you have an internet connection you're ready.

If you're bad at first, just stick it out and eventually you'll get a feel for live opponents.

If you're beating the CPU on the hardest difficulty pretty easily I'd say you are ready.

What sort of character do you like? Knowing that can help limit you to ones that might fit your play style.

I tend to freak out a bit more with Chaos since his options suck when pressured in the corner and I'm still not sure what his best moves would be. After failing to GT a few times I just opted to VO a lot and forget GT is a thing in general.

Try phonon. Gord and Merk also have decent zoning tools but still have the option of rushing you down.

Ggs bro. You might want to stop using Vats force function so much, it may be safe but you're giving up grd and it gets predictable.

I know. I know I should try to either laser or drop a crystal, but force of habit is a bitch.

Are you using the default lay out on your pad? Most Vats that play on that usually place their normals on the shoulder buttons so it's easier to hold for gems.

Finally I didn't embarrassingly drop one of those "they whiff a move that makes them fly the fuck across the screen" punishes.

I've tried on 4 diferent ocasions to do that. It's no good. Normals come out too slow, and I can't react to anything.

They're usually on the other side of the screen by then, and for some reason Yuzu's slashes are hella weak to projectiles? How the hell does that work?

Do aerial slashes then, have you seen my matches against rhythm? I get a wallbounce to my face in the trade and sometimes the slash stuffs my start-up.

It's the aerial slashes that get me. A projectile hitting the sword lines hurts you, it sucks.
It does all come down to the fact that I'm a slow asshat, but I wanna believe there's something more to it.

236B into teleport is a good and mostly safe distance closer if you're getting tagged by projectiles at full screen

I've never really practiced it specifically. I'm actually very bad at using training mode in a meaningful way. I just have my dummies set to random direction recovery and try and do follow-ups.

The answer to the cross up is that I need to be pretty low to the ground but high enough for the triangle to connect to follow it up with a 5b. If you're letting me get that close to you in the air and ground just hit me. Also you knees can be punished with a jab or even a kick of your own.
