Better than BB, the true prequel to 3.

a slower game

Slower more defensive combat, more emphasis on environmental hazards, traps and ambushes.

A better game than the shit you just forced yourself to slog through.

If you've mastered DS3 and Bloodborne, it'll be like going back to training wheels.

A much slower, much easier game that has a significantly better world layout than DS3.

Cool, thanks!

>mastered
I finished both games NG+3, Idk if I would you call that mastered. Never did a level 10 run or anything.

You'll find DS1 extremely easy if you've played DS3 already. You can pick up pretty much any great weapon (the zwei, of course, comes to mind, or the greatclub) and completely roflstomp your way through every area and boss.

The actual core story from DaS

It's not as fast, and the DLC/bosses aren't as good, but it's the best one goddamn it.

There's no way in hell you will feel like playing it after DaS3 and Bloodborne. Not only will you be fatigued by then but it's a huge step backwards gameplay wise.

a clunky overrated piece of shit game

Bosses dont do 5 hit combos nor they turn 180 midswing but you have less stamina and your rolls are heavier.

A game where shields and positioning actually matter, you won't find ridiculous tracking enemies like any of the bb mobs or most of ds3's bosses.
I enjoyed the shit out of DS1 and I wish I could play it for the first time again, truly an adventure. Less bonfires to add to the thrill too.

Why is this area so fucking boring and linear?

I tried to get into this game a few times, years later I played BB and it clicked. Went back and played this again and it was amazing, although I like BB more I've played DS1 more

It's great but overhyped on Yea Forums. I preferred some of the other soulsborne games better.

because it's the first one dummy.

Not an excuse. This entire section feels like a fucking slog compared to undead burg or even the forest of fallen giants.

I can't relate, the feeling of a new game carried me through that section. Granted I never did a second play through

Not nearly as good as BB honestly

If you do pvp, backstabs

It doesn’t feel like level one either.

Opposed to the first boss dropping a soul transposition of a frostbiting greathammer.

You're unable to attain until you kill a tree that hardly moves and gain access to a sorcery that drains hp per second.

Yeah.

Was thinking of doing pyro for my next dks playthrough, do you have access to good/diverse pyromancies early-mid game? Or is the better stuff closer to the end

I remember finding great chaos fireball good. Otherwise yea toward the end

>level 10 run
that's not a thing, and if it is then it's retarded and stupidly arbitrary

Areas are slightly more annoying to clear and bosses are slightly less "Spongey" and more skill based. Gameplay feels alot slower and less "Arcadey" though. IMO i didn't like it as much but the beauty is in the eye of the beholder

alright, thanks user

you can access most pyromancies fairly quickly, but a few might be locked behind one covenant.
a couple might be loot and the rest will be from Laurentius and quelana.

I liked it because it was a good balance between Prepare to Block and Prepare to Roll

>slightly less spongy
how much damage can you do to the final boss in 3 in a single hit?
I managed to 4 shot Gwyn on my SL1 playthrough and I didn't run the most optimized damage build for SL1.
dark souls 2, BB and 3 have way more spongier bosses than dark souls 1 or demon's souls.
