Baste

No

Yes, better than IV.

Kinda. Got bored and dropped it halfway through though

got bored after stealing the cars for the fbi

Yeah and I just got back into it now

It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it more than 4. Vice City will always be my personal favorite but I think 5 comes second.

Yes, it’s the closest Rockstar has come to finding the perfect balance between GTA 4’s realism & classic arcadey gameplay. All they need to do is fix the horrible gameplay & linear missions and we would get a true masterpiece

way, way too easy on pc with the bullet time. I actually laughed on the "suicide mission" or whatever at the end when I killed every single enemy before they could even react
>bullet time as generic MC
>no bullet time as negro MC, just get in a car and now you have bullet time lmao
console aiming is fucking cancer

> Playing on PC in 2019
You only have yourself to blame

I got bored half way and quit

haha yeah bro
*autoaims at every enemy*

GTAV never pretends to be a KBM twitch shooter, bro. It's designed for controller

Yes but like RDR II, you quickly realise that it's actually very shallow and it's predecessor was a far more enjoyable experience.

It was okay but messy. Did the writer/s just forget Franklin existed 1/5 into the game? He started out pretty interesting, but turned into completely nothing once he got his big house and Trevor and Michael's fueding took over the entire story.

lol no

I enjoyed until the character tumbled down like a retard because of bump, I was promised a return to form, a fuck you to IV, but we only got IV with better driving and no parkour.

you will surely get the parkour

GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption are far superior games than their sequels especially in terms of their online components.

Also worse police than a fucking PS2 game that can't even do a pit maneuver.

I literally bought the GTA V edition of the PS4 and I still hated it. It had no relatable characters.

GTAV is a fine game, has some flaws but still good.
You won't find Yea Forums liking a game that's popular though so that's just how it goes

This, but I did enjoy V's more arcade-y gameplay, but over time I started to appreciate IV's grittiness and DLC stories more.

Why is the female the least attractive person in that image? No homo.

Yes but only because i was thirteen when it came out and at the time, i thought that rockstar putting rape jokes in a triple A title and making fun of L.A/Hollywood culture was somehow hard hitting and transgressive social satire. But in retrospect the game is seriously lacking in the story department, character development is weak and the motivations for characters are kind of vague and not really explained.

no all 4 games are good for different reasons and both sequels iterated upon the mechanics of its predecessor.

Yes, I had a lot of fun with it. Despite its flaws, I beat the single player before online came out. There were a few noticeable issues with the game early on compared to others of the series, but the first big glaring flaw was online’s grind or pay system. Grinding heists several times, exploiting and cheating, to get a significant amount of money. Shark cards were a big obvious rip off, they could’ve gotten a lot further with that if the cash-to-game ratio were A LOT higher.

Admittedly it is a good game, I could tell because it took me hundreds of hours to get disillusioned with it. High customizability and plenty of space made it a decent playground. But the middle ground between IV’s gritty realism and SA’s higher campiness isn’t an ideal place to be. Free roam single player was better in both of those, one of the most important draws to GTA.

That has nothing to do with the quality of the AI though it's done for balance purposes.

you sound pretty closeted

All I ever ended up doing is putting on Self Radio and driving around with some driving mods until that got boring.

It's a fine game, but it has the same problem that every Rockstar game since 2008 has had. The core mechanics are just not very good. They give you this big, open sandbox to fuck around in, but it's all for nothing because the way by which you interact with this sandbox is as deep as a puddle. It's why half of the game's missions are just fucking around with stuff like yoga minigames that don't ever really come up outside of the mission they're introduced in. Because the core mechanics would get old in a 5 hour game, much less a GTA length campaign.

Yeah though it did feel limiting, heists were a disappointment since it didn't really seem like it mattered who you picked (I think the only difference I noticed was the driver crashing in the first job)

Very much so. GTAV is a great game, and the fact that most of its "criticisms" are entirely in hindsight doesn't really do much to speak to its actual flaws. I can even replay it and still have a pretty good time.

Is possible to customize the plane controls on PS4? They are awful, had to skip the landing part in that one Trevor mission.

It's a fun game but the story starts off so promising and fizzles out hard by the end.

Yes.Dogfighting with other players fun and also grieving kids who are transporting expensive cars or cargo.

>playing with autoaim
Freeaim is the only way to play evem with a controller

>cheats are only marginally better than IV
WHERE'S MY FLYING CARS AND PEDESTRIAN CHEATS R*

Yeah. the big setpiece missions are perfect for GTA, and they didn't get overly pretentious with their story. It was always the online that was my issue

The good times will never return.

SOUL

>2008
nah the HD era games have much more depth to their core mechanics and control than any of the HD era.

Yes, it's the perfect GTA game. Online my be a different matter, but single-player is literally perfect

I tried to force it myself into trying to like it but the more i keep playing the more i regretted that decision.

IV is maybe the worst GTA of them all. The story was too somber and serious for the core of what GTA is. The entire premise of the games are ridiculous: you can run over a dozen people and if you out run the cops for 30 seconds they'll forget you ever did anything wrong. Yet IV tried to add a 'realistic' and 'serious' story mode. A staple of the GTA humor is satire, and IV was probably the least satirical and least funny GTA of any of them. in V the satire hit's perfectly every time.

V is a superior GTA game whether you realize it or not. IV just felt out of place the whole time. I like aspects of IV, but in terms of GTA I prefer V in almost every way

No, it felt like a total downgrade gameplay and writing wise. Online was shit from day and has only gotten worse over time.

If Franklin was the only main character then I would've enjoyed it. But for some dumb fucking reason they wanted me to play an old cuck with a whore for a daughter and a balding Canadian so cuhrazzzzy haha BADASS BRO!! faggot.
Got excited initially for online thinking I could do immersive gta world shit as a custom character but nah gta online turns out to be repetitive overpriced trash where everyone is a Russia tier nigger

>IV was probably the least satirical
wrong you were just too young to appreciate it back when.

>>no bullet time as negro MC, just get in a car and now you have bullet time lmao
I laughed pretty hard when I realized you could do this. Doesn't Trevor's ability also slightly slow down time?

No, I thought the music stations sucked in comparison to the other entries.

it looks so good on modern hardware

Thanks for the blog faggot

>I CAN ONLY PICK UP ON SATIRE WHEN IT'S BLATANTLY THROWN IN MY FACE

I wish I could but there just isn't anything to do in the open world. Hijacking cars and driving was only fun when I was a child, now I what more progression from a game. I need rpg aspects in order to be invested and there was nothing that ever felt worthwhile in V.

>Hijacking cars and driving was only fun when I was a child, now I what more progression from a game.
oh wow user uh huh great.

ok zoomer

>seething this hard when he sees people didn't like his beloved game
OK retard try having opinions and tastes that aren't fucking shit otherwise you'll be living your whole life shouting at anons on a wank board

Playing GTAIV after San Andreas was the biggest disappointment ever. Fortunately V brought the greatness back.

Welp, sixth time has to be the charm. You ready?

free aim makes snipers too OP

מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִ֑ד יְהֹוָ֥ה רֹ֜עִ֗י לֹ֣א אֶחְסָֽר

IV would be zoomie's first GTA, retard

completely irrelevant, brainlet

Yes, but i was disappointed with the lack of...everything, i didn't give half a shit about online and the story mode was super short, barely any side quests and you can't do fucking nothing on the world, there's like 3 stores and that's it, barely any cheat codes to mess around too.

Ye very much so and the online blew me away so much fun, best criminal simulator out there..still.

GTA IV is Gloomy and Gray. it's lifeless

Yes except for how poorly it handled torture

not always

Attached: gat4.jpg (3840x2160, 1.01M)

what is this? a day after a heavy war? a hurricane over the horizon? why everything is so dark?

you can see some orange in the sky

Honestly, yeah. The campaign was great, and if you picked option C you get the best ending with all 3 bros bromancing it up. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

Couldn't care less about the multiplayer though. Once you realize they made it such a grindfest on purpose that the only real way to earn most of the cars and gadgets was to pay for it, the entire experience can go fuck itself.

this game was me giving rockstar a playing second chance after red dead redemption bored me enough that I never finished it. never finished gtav either for the same reason. honestly don't know what people see in rockstar's shit.

>Killed one of the recruitable Heist members in an early random event
>Doesnt respawn
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I liked everything except the story and characters. Was disappointed when I went outside the city and there was literally nothing but dirt and a section with trees. The wildlife was only interesting if you never played RDR

I found it weirdly empty but yeah.

I enjoyed it at first, after all it was my first GTA, but I've grown to dislike it and it's many flaws.
Are the other games any better?

Attached: Incendiary pilots.webm (1152x720, 1.96M)

I enjoyed it fine but I did find it dissapointing compared to IV.

I don't know I've never played it.

I thought this might have been true but when I replayed it I was sadly mistaken

That's not true, especially considering the nature of satire is almost always subtle. V does it best imo.

I was 17 when IV came out

exactly

This, IV sucked

yes. only other gta i enjoyed more was vice city.

t. 10 year old kids when they played gta4 on their x360
