Uncomfy Digimon Thread

I thought the point of Digimon was that the designs were more refined than most collect-em-all properties. Also found an old copy of Digimon Dusk in my drawers, Sprites look good.

Digimon: Digital Card Battle

wow quite the consensus

Digimon Card Battle.
It's fucking good.

The card game

Tri was pure fucking shit mate. Only this next movie can salvage it.

I u ironically love the dub movie. Season 2 and 3 and I think the card game had some amazing art

The hell is up with that image. What is that. Tai redesign?

Decode remaster for PC when
Fuck Next Order it fucking sucks

this isnt Pokemon, even thought the genwunner pandering is the same

ahahaha
no. but a runner up

are we getting soiboi singularity?

This is a problem that is inherent to the Digimon anime because of the company that makes it, need I remind you of Sailor Moon's attrocious reboot?

It's far worse.

The only Taichi that matters.

The issue with Tri and this fucking movie is that it doesn't fucking get the spirit of the original Digimon Adventure, not even 02 did.

The kids in Adventure all had things to work through and insecurities WHILE on an adventure where there were lives at stake. They were fighting to survive on their own UP until they get back to the real world, in which they all get to take their first real breaks after navigating home but the battles didn't stop and then they were forced to return to the strange alien world because they had to to save the world.

02 and Tri fuck everything up with downtime. It's be like if you watched Lord of the Rings but Gandolf gave fucking Frodo a magic wand that lets him and Sam teleport to the Shire to rest every night before returning the next day. You can't constantly deflate the stakes you need to follow rising and falling action and let their be well excuted tension and develop.

Fucking Tai worked through his control issues and his recklessness back in Adventure, and yet none of that shows in fucking 02 or Tri, and most development doesn't either. Joe got it the fucking worst of all of them, because he literally came to terms with his inadequacies back in Adventure and learned to be okay with himself. A kid who fucking fought for his life for weeks and suddenly WAH WAH IM BAD AT CRAM SCHOOL WAH WAH IM GONNA DISAPPOINT DAD WAAAAAAAAAAH

Despite having 3 of them, I always forget Veedramon is a thing

VTamer needs recognition.

Seriously, when are they making Tamers 2?

does digimon world still hold up?
I didn't grow up playing it so I never really tried it

>Tamers 2
Is it true that they made the fog thing so they wouldn't have to draw backgrounds?

Attached: Digimon_2_Invashion_of_the_D-Reapers_.jpg (900x1200, 1.49M)

Jankiness aside it's the best translation of the vpet games into console. No, New Order is utter garbage.

When the Blu ray remasters were released it came with an audio CD

It was shit on the same level as Tri.

>Takato time travels to the future but his future self is MIA
>Everyone else is older and fighting a "new enemey"
>Renamon is "possessed"

>I thought the point of Digimon was that the designs were more refined than most collect-em-all properties.
who the fuck told you that

literally any Digimon fan when they tell me about how the tomogatchi designs got translated into the anime

I dunno where you got that idea. The whole point of Digimon is that it started as a virtual pet like tamagachi. When video games were starting to be made they leaned very heavily into the raising aspect more than other games in the genre. This has been rather dumbed down in later games though or flat out removed sadly.

Don't you fucking dare shit on Butter-Fly, faggot.

>its shit because I don't like the ideas
retard, Tri is garbage because everything about it is terribly executed, the ideas in it are vague at best and the shit they do have is underwhelming and buried underneath filler slice of life shit
These two things are not comparable

Konaka wants to do it, but Toei said they were busy with this.
Maybe when Adventure Last Evolution fucks it, since it is supposed to be the last Adventure thing

Oh no the monkey paw gave you the middle finger and gave the sequel to Digimon Frontier

nice maybe they'll fix the flaws

>Okay guys I have a fantastic idea, let's make a fusion system that Neuters 3/4 of the protagonists and only give it to the Rival and "Main Protagonist". Also, let's not sell toys of those cool spirit statues

Attached: C3MdonbUEAAStWx.jpg (480x360, 26K)

Still better than 02

Frontier was bad because the writing sucked and the characters were all underdeveloped massively.
Making the entire rest of the cast useless was just icing on the cake

Post only the worst Digimon designs

Attached: Jesmon2.jpg (320x320, 47K)

>Digiegg evolutions were hyped up to be an unknown power that requires specific circumstances and borderline chosen one shenanigan
>Get ditched once they reach the prestigious and raw power of Champion

I mean, Adventure did that too. And 02. And to an extent Tamers did it as well.

Not with the video games, at least. Looking forward to see what the next Story game that's in development brings since there is absolutely not a single new Digimon from Adventure that they could add. They're already all there. They have to use something else at this point, and they basically already have been with the way HM put Arkadimon on its cover, with Betamon and Wormmon in the forefront

>let's not sell toys of those cool spirit statues
But they did
I had a KendoGarurumon that could transform into his Spirit form
Came with the platform they sit on, it was cool

I mean up until Susanoomon most fights required them to "Okay guys let's give the real heroes our power and get out of the way while The Big Two save the day"

One of the psx games. The PSP/Vita/PS4 ones are soulless cashgrabs trying to milk nostalgia fags and waifu fags

>I thought the point of Digimon was that the designs were more refined than most collect-em-all properties
>refined designs
This is the most retarded shit i have ever read

>being this much of a genwun faggot
Doubt you've even played the new games.

instead I'll post one of my favorites

Attached: my favorite jobber.png (405x427, 212K)

the point of digimon is to be a contrarian faggot while pokemon lives in your head rent free

I've played Cyber Sleuth and Next Order. Both were terrible compared to Digimon World 3 and 1

We're too busy fighting among ourselves for that.

See this blatantly lying faggot trying to stir things up here

Digimon games branch out to multiple genres so there isn’t really a standard answer. Digimon World 1 is probably my favourite and is the best “monster raising sim”, Digimon Cyber Sleuth is the best standard RPG.

>They actually did
Wow did KB Toys and Target drop the ball hard on this one, all they had on my end were the dumb digivices

>lying faggot
You don't believe I've played those four games?

Not even remotely, or else you would have something more substantial to say than buzzwords.

hopefully never unless konaka gets full creative control over it.
left to their own devices, nu-toei would run tamers into the ground like they did to adventure.

hadesmon > jesmon.

Attached: Hadesmon_duam3ds.png (1194x988, 743K)

Oh God please no
Tamers is great no need to defile it like Tri did Adventure
Runaway Locomon was fine as an ending I swear

Konaka wants to do it, and Konaka is why Tamers is good in the first place.
Runaway Locomon is also not canon, the audio dramas are.

I'm playing Digimon Adventure on PSP now. What does Yea Forums think about it?

I liked this arc as a kid because they get bodied like 4 times in a row. At the time I was used to anime protagonists pulling wins out of their asses so that was a nice change of pace.

I never played it but I always heard it was a pretty terrible game

It did seem pretty bad. I'm on episode 10 now and it's braindead easy so far. Don't even have to worry about sp management because of save point/level up. Literally made for baby mode.

I think you have it backwards. Konaka is responsible for the worst part about Tamers: the first 20 episodes or so where it takes way too long to set everything up. Tamers would be much better off without his starkly lit walking scenes and weird symbolic shit that doesn't come into play later like the whole filler part where they're trying to get Growmon to devolve and such. He's not a guy that likes actual overarching stories, and if Tamers gets a sequel, it's gonna have an overarching story.

yeah but it's the perfect setting, 4 episode bursts of episodes where everyone stands doing nothing and it takes 4 years to finish

>Konaka only did the first 20 episodes, didn't plan anything out or plan out an overarching story
Are you fucking retarded?
Literally all the pre-production stuff is right on his website, detailing how it was planned out, iterations of ideas and so on

Don't put words in my mouth you nigger.
Of course Konaka worked on the rest. I pointed out that part specifically because it's the part that bears the most evidence of his hallmarks. I've seen other works from him, and the first half of Tamers feels a lot more Konaka than the second.

Fuck off. This nigger is one of my favorite Digimon along with Magnamon. Though I still think the sword legs are stupid

>Konaka is responsible for the worst part about Tamers
>Because I have seen his other series and I feel like this is true
>The fact that he was the main writer, has a website with a massive amount of information with the pre-planning, background info and iterations it went through doesn't matter
low iq post

>calls my post low IQ
>when he has the reading comprehension of a toddler

Attached: 1486873365537.jpg (960x852, 51K)

Tamers best parts are the first 13 episodes, Beelzemon and the final arc.
If spending the first 13 episodes on character development and setting the characters up is boring for you, then Tamers isn't for you anyway and you should stick to something else.
>Konaka doesn't like overarching stories
Lain and Texhnolyze are experimental as fuck, but he very clearly planned Tamers out and is recognized as the main writer

It'd be fine if it was just the first 13, but no, it is more like the first 20, and there are just too many episodes that have uninteresting filler plot lines that don't serve to set up anything, like the aforementioned Growmon episode, the one where Takato runs around looking for Guilmon the whole episode, most of the scenarios involving Culumon, the Deva being effectively MotW and probably more things I'm forgetting. It just has bad pacing, the other extreme of 02 moving way too fast in its second half.

I CLAPPED FOR TAI

Frontier is a bit of an interesting season because the good parts of it are actually extremely good but it's bogged down by all the shitty parts being so incredibly shitty, as opposed to 02 which is generally just mediocre the whole way through.
It's probably the season that could benefit the most from being revisited because Tamers is already good and going back to it might just ruin it, while soft retconning 02 is the smartest thing the staff has ever done.

The Growmon episode is the first time Takato deals with Guilmon having evolved and trying to get him back to his normal form.
Since Tamers is actually taking the concept of a kid getting a Digimon and trying to portray the situations realisticly, the kids try and deal with that situation using child logic, Takato deals with the fear of not being able to deal with it and is totally overwhelmed.

Its not incredible, but an acceptable episode that has some character building.

>the Deva being effectively MotW
The only one that is like that is the snake, the other episodes have character development going on which is obviously what makes Tamers good and focuses on.

Tamers has actual flaws, like Ryo or that one Babamon/Jijimon Episode. But its beginning is good

>Frontier is a bit of an interesting season because the good parts of it are actually extremely good
Like what?
I rewatched it like 3 years ago and it just was underwhelming at every part. The writing and characters are really bad.
It would have been great if they actually had written the kids better, threw in some body horror with the evolutions and made more out of it than powerrangers: digimon edition.
I cannot overstate how bad the writing and character in it are, I don't think anybody really wants more of Frontier, there is nothing to latch onto, other than the concept.

Nah, it was all fine and good until they reached the part of the royal knights.

I'm glad the closest people shitpost about Xros Wars are vague "it's shit" crap. They can never tarnish its greatness.

Attached: Shoutmon_mic_ref.jpg (720x509, 231K)

The lack of partner Digimon sucks for reasons beyond it just being different, but I thought the human characters were all fine. They all have an actual backstory which plays into their characterization right away and becomes obvious in hindsight, and other than the fat kid and the twins, all the characters have a distinct dynamic with one another.

The progression is handled really nicely where the power ups play into the personal arcs and the characters are always growing. The threat feels way more tangible than usual since the world is blowing up all the time, the villains get a bit more development than usual and they keep coming up people're fucked up. Plus a lot of the fights are just really fucking cool.

Problem is just that the good stuff ends there and the rest isn't just mediocre, it's shit. Bad writing that bogs down decent ideas, basically every design introduced that season sucks, the story is always moving but it just doesn't really make a lot of sense most of the time, Lucemon is an awful final boss after a lot of decent villains, and then the interesting character arcs just all get ditched.

so was the hot dog tree real or was it some localization thing?

Tamers was such a wild ride... jesus fuck it went full blown evangelion cthulu shit

>Frontier
>characters are always growing
They really aren't.

I think one of the biggest examples on how Frontier totally fucks character writing and development is with Takuya when he is beaten, goes back into the real world as a half monster thing. Fun idea.
He goes through the entire ordeal there, figured out that everything had to play out this way and that he has to go back and try and fix it. That is fine.
But once he is back, rather than his newfound attitude, confidence, maturity or personality change giving him strength, he suddenly pulls out that 'he is one with the elements' which has absolutely nothing to do with the episode in the real world and his character development episode is simply forgotten and the 'one with the elements' nonsense is simple dropped an episode or two later.
It really is abysmal in terms of character writing, and this was the only time where I remember that they tried.

Xros Wars was great but I'm still kinda meh on how only Shoutmon and MetalGreymon are the ones that can only digivolve. The wolf mon and mecha kabuterimon thing deserves more screen time and an actual evolution like in the manga. Taiki effectively being a Gary Stu commander was kinda funny, but I still liked it. Also X7 has a disappointing clusterfuck design (that fucking helmet) after X6's great one.

Looks like a chinese mobile game character. Cool at first bust ultimately lame because its just too much

Didn't like...the dead brother go through the most character development in his debut episode and all that boiled down to is "Darkness is cool bro, stop being sad and shit"

Is Digimon All stars rumble any good?
I was playing rumble arena 2 and was thinking to myself that it sucked that we never got a rumble 3, but then I found out that this game exists.

So is it anything special? Or shovelware tier?

I thought X7 was X5's helmet? (there's no X6 in the anime) Also I honestly don't see Taiki bein gmuch of a garystu outside of the first few eps, especially when you need to be one in order to win in the Death Generals season

Can't wait to see the new Omegamon!

I can't wait for Omegamon to be both the final protagonist digimon and the antagonist!

Attached: cashcows.png (1192x554, 462K)

I think we're done seeing new meme Omegamons, at least until the 30th anniversary anyway

It may be the most popular Digimon, but I think that Bamco knows that after a certain point, just making rehashes of it that will never be as popular as the original just comes off as desperation.

>theres no X6 in the anime
I guess I forgot. But X7's helmet has an X I think on it? X5's helmet has red trails on its eyes and Nene's jet mon's crest. Taiki is kinda a blank state for me, he's like a generic hero that is smart and never fucks up.

again? why? I thought everyone hated the new ones

Attached: 1562307959910.jpg (800x450, 62K)

Taiki does fuck up though
He couldn't save Apollomon
There's also an episode where he gets his Xros Loader stolen because he was too gullible

He's not an interesting character, but he's not a gary stu either. He can't be, the story isn't even about him

I've played 1, 3 and Cyber Sleuth
they're all shit and I just like the ps1 games because of nostalgia

How can one game have so much soul, AND be so fucking soulless at the same time?

Attached: 52-update_1_0603.png (640x480, 418K)

Fucking keep this shit on /vp/, you fucking niggers.
I'd honestly beat the shit out of you if I knew you IRL.

Oh shit, I have to watch it again then. I gotta say I never expected Xros Wars to be actually good, like even better than Savers.

There's no soul in the DS games. There's nothing to them except grinding. Literally perfect games for chinks who miss the experience of being at the sweatshop while they're at home.

Attached: 21-update2_027.png (640x480, 459K)

Go watch tri and take a shot everytime they play butterfly for no reason.

the encounter rate is atrocious

soul

Attached: 58-update2_217.png (640x480, 363K)

I don't think Xros Wars is better than Savers, but then again, I think Savers is the best show in the franchise. Despite Xros Wars having an aesthetic and music that appeals to me more, Savers just has the more interesting plot and characters while still keeping the action at just the right level. Digimon is never gonna have another protagonist as good as Masaru again

The artistic team was on fucking point and breathed life into everything. Unfortunately no one else on the staff was.

If only the console games could have environments like these and not just be weird dance club rooms

4/??

God I fucking hate these threads.
Filled with disgusting, scum of the earth dubfags.
The dubfags holocaust can't come soon enough. Disgusting filthy maggots.

I know how shit Tri is, it's the shitty /vp/ meme I've got a problem with.

They did hate Tri, but it also made money from desperate nostalgiafags

Okay fair enough I take back my post about "They played butterfly"

5/??

Attached: 90-update5_135.png (640x480, 508K)

I didn't watch Tri outside of the part with Kaiser but is it ever explained about what happened to the 02 cast?
It's weird that they suddenly cucked Daisuke out of fucking Hikari and none of the adventure cast are worried about them.

Savers really doesn't have interesting characters, it is thoroughly mediocre in every way.
I really think the only reason people like it is Masaru's gimmick of punching monsters, but even that is pretty bland since he never really gets harmed during it and is played comedic as shit. Even while they're trying to bring up GENOCIDE as a serious thing in the same episode.

6/??

Attached: 75-update8_146.png (640x480, 353K)

Should I replay 3 or pick up one of the newer titles? I haven't played any post-PSX game but I do own a 3DS and a Vita.

Tri Failed because the sole focus became about the new addition to the team and her Digimon instead of being a legitimate follow-up to the Digidestened's adventures, getting extremely lazy about elements such as the 02 cast's whereabouts and the true identity of Dark Gennai.

pre-rendered backgrounds have so much soul
I wish DW3 wasn't so bogged down by its slow ass combat and grinding. I played it with an emulator sped up by ~400% and cheated the game by only having 1 partner to efficiently get through the game and not have to grind.

The concept of it being an mmo-world as a singleplayer game has a lot of potential, especially if it was more than JRPG.
But sadly the way it is its just a grinder, really.

DW1 is best, followed by Re:Digitize.
DW3 is a JRPG grinder that works like an offline mmo. I don't personally recommend it, even with an emulator and speed-up, even though the concept is neat.

The characters of Savers are no more bland than those found in the rest of the franchise, many of their backstories are quite similar, though the relatively small main cast allowed Masaru, Touma and Ikuto to get fleshed out rather well compared to some of the others. Especially given the very smart decision the show made to have Agumon be revealed to the Daimon family near immediately.

Aside from that, yes, the more exaggerated personality traits of the characters in the show did make it quite entertaining, and you can't really blame them for going that route as compared to the previous season, Frontier, where almost no one had any personality whatsoever.

Attached: 10-update12_012.png (640x480, 395K)

>all this shitting over Tri

I only saw the first part when they went back to the digital world and thought it was pretty nice.

Did they really screw it up in the end or something?

Savers is pretty damn similar in terms of writing with Frontier.
I mean hell, they completely fuck over Yoshino and she literally has no character or personality to speak of.
Masaru also really don't undergo any character development, his personality at the start is the same as at the end. The best you can say he kinda learns to work with a team, but its more that everyone else just puts up with him.

Its not a fuckup like Frontier where the show falls apart at the end, but it is still mediocre through and through

Its just bad from the beginning on, they waste so much time on pointless slice of life shit, then aidscat comes in and steals the show for a lot, the cast is bothered by the plot following them and they clearly don't want to deal with it.
Tri sucks from the get go

>and she literally has no character or personality to speak of.
Sure she does. You weren't paying attention. Certainly, they spend less time on her than the others, but when she does get time. she comes across very clearly as a mature but lazy person who doesn't like pressure. Which ties into the short character arc she has where we learn about her backstory in struggling to play at the piano recital when she was a kid out of nervousness.

And as for Masaru, his overarcing struggle is more about learning when and where to apply his strength instead of running wild all the time like he wants. You can see this in the various situations the show presents him with that he can't just brute force, like the scenario with Chika, the things with Ikuto, that time Shine Greymon went into Ruin mode actively punishing him for brute forcing and so forth. In a sense it's kind of him learning not to be selfish and to think about others.

Which is more than can be said for anyone in Frontier.

Masaru's anger at Touma was justified.

I like Digimon, and I like combining mecha, but for some reason I just don't like combining mecha in my Digimon.

Attached: 1517990247342.jpg (500x407, 35K)

>Sure she does. You weren't paying attention.
I actually was, that is why I know she doesn't.
I am not sure if the writers could have made it more blatant, one of her character and evolution episodes is her admitting, out of nowhere, that she has a crush on some guy.
This is not mentioned before or after ever again, and its really pathetically written.

>No playable Cerberumon in any title
>Uncommon even in the v-pet toys
aaaaaaAAAAAA

>Tfw biggest dreamer

>a fellow cerberubro
Based tased brother

>that is why I know she doesn't.
And yet you have no counter to the points I just gave.

>I am not sure if the writers could have made it more blatant
They couldn't have, and again, you weren't paying attention. Lalamon explicitly mentions how lazy Yoshino is in one episode.

>evolution episodes is her admitting, out of nowhere, that she has a crush on some guy.
That definitely wasn't an evolution episode. IIRC, that guy was an idol or something that she got involved with, but he ended up being a dirtbag and she didn't want to believe it until confronted with evidence. Again, playing into her complacency. And they had to wipe his memory at the end, so of course it isn't mentioned again.

Again, this is at the very least average for a Digimon character, the franchise has done far worse.

FUCK TRI
I hope the new movie doesnt suck so much ass

That is a good point

>>
Obvi depends on what kind of game you want dummy

>That definitely wasn't an evolution episode.
I am certainly certain that it was, but I cannot find summaries of all the episodes or even a youtube video of all of Yoshino's evolutions since it seems nobody even likes Savers.

>And yet you have no counter to the points I just gave.
I said that Masaru's personality is the exact same at the beginning and at the end, in response to that you said that he just learns to when to use his strength
For me to concede the point and you to be right you'd have to argue and show that his personality is different in some aspect from one episode to some other.
The thing you mentioned would only apply if Masaru had actually learned not to rush in during inappropriate moment and gotten punished somehow. But that doesn't happen, its just that situation where its unexpected and everyone bitches him out for it don't happen anymore.

>Yoshino has a personality because she is lazy
I am sorry, but that is really pathetic. It isn't like in Savers she has a thing where she has to learn to apply herself, it simply doesn't happen.

There were a handful of cool and interesting scenes in Savers, such as Masaru taking up a father-like figure for Ikuto for like two scenes only for it to never come up again.

>I am certainly certain that it was
It was not. She first uses Sunflowmon in like episode 3, which is completely unrelated to her character, and then Lilamon happens in the aforementioned piano recital episode.

>I said that Masaru's personality is the exact same at the beginning and at the end, in response to that you said that he just learns to when to use his strength
I did this because while you are correct that his personality is more or less the same, a change in personality is not the only means of character development. And

>The thing you mentioned would only apply if Masaru had actually learned not to rush in during inappropriate moment and gotten punished somehow.
Is just wrong since I mentioned the way he actually did get punished, with Agumon eventually reverting to egg form after Ruin mode. After that point, he was always on point with where and when he fought.

>I am sorry, but that is really pathetic
Your disdain is not an argument.

> It isn't like in Savers she has a thing where she has to learn to apply herself, it simply doesn't happen.
Literally the point of the Lilamon episode, and can be seen afterwards in how she's the one taking care of Ikuto despite how much of a handful he is.

For those who don't know, Re:Digitize and Next Order are based on Digimon World, and Decoded is a DS remake of Re: Digitize that was never officially translated and the fan translation is in progress.

It takes time. When they Xros in ep 6 that was the greatest.

Yeha that's x5. I can see why you think it's best.

You should, and subbed. The songs are top notch.

>V-Tamer introduced Arcadiamon
>never really got much exposure aside from some recent cameos like in Hacker's Memory, despite being a decent early villain

I love the whole line and seeing it not being used as much as it should kills me.

Attached: Arcadiamon_(Ultra)_dscshm.png (1240x1754, 1.69M)

From what I can tell, Bandai's pretty dismissive of V-Tamer in general. They don't acknowledge most of the original Digimon. UlforceV-dramon Future Mode was only used once for the cards. Dominimon may as well not exist. A lot of concepts unique to manga tend to go more or less ignored.

This is still the best

Agreed. I watched all three series' and their movies in a row when Tri came out.
01 was to exhilarating because the kids were on their own, having an actual adventure. 02 is a different series because it tries to focus more on the real life of the kids. Sadly asian real life is really shit and that drags the whole thing down. It also spits on 01's heartfelt adventures in the ways you described. I still liked it all in all. Tri is an ugly, hopeless cash grab and bad throughout. Bad voice acting, terrible animation, depressing writing and subpar plot. The villain literally concludes it by listing a series of predictable "plots" he can come up with the next time.

what's so bad about Next Order, anons?

This is just plain false. First of all, V-mon was based off of V-dramon, not the other way around. Second, both UlforceV-dramon and Demon were original to V-Tamer, and they've both appeared numerous times in the franchise. HolyAngemon could arguably be said to have appeared in V-Tamer first, even, albeit with a different design.

Super Ultimate as a concept has also been gradually creeping more and more into the franchise as we see more Digimon that are well beyond the traditional Mega/Ultimate level. Hell, it's even mentioned in regards to Chronomon in the first Digimon Story.

V-Tamer has gotten a ton of references and love in this franchise for something that your average fan is totally unaware of.

So why does Bandai ignore most of the Digimon it introduced? Why is Future Mode ignored?

My brother. Xros Wars was definitely one of the better seasons, even if it doesn't really beat out Adventure or Tamers. Definitely villain of the week for awhile, but probably has some of the better Digimon development of the series, and Shoutmon is probably my favorite MC partnermon because of it (though Taiki's personality also kind of suffers because of it).

Nothing, it's a great game and all those posters have shit taste

This. Gotta focus on Meiko and Meicoomon as if they were the Poochie of their series, even though no one wanted that.

Because Future Mode appeared in like two panels in the final chapter of the manga during a point where the franchise was waning. V-Tamer ran from around the time Adventure started all the way just past the end of Frontier. It's just not as iconic. Same goes for many other Digimon unique to V-Tamer.

world design, shitty exploration, bad enemy placement, multiple mon bullshit and much more.

Bandai even acknowledges recolors. Future Mode doesn't even have an entry in the Digimon Reference Book. Neither does Demon Super Ultimate.

Probably because they're forms unique to the macguffin linked to them. Hell if I know, user. But V-Tamer still gets references and acknowledgement, it's not like they're ashamed of it.

t.blinded by nostalgia

Digimon Survive is my most anticipated game right now.

I hope we can kill all our friends

Looks like a drag queen

You can't kill your friends, but you might be able to let them die.

I've actually really enjoyed it. The digimon pool is lacking a bit though since it's missing hawkmon, armadillomon, lalamon, and a bunch of other anime main character partners while using a bunch of recolors (3 agumon, gabumon, toyagumon, ect).

Fuck off Dagda

That was probably intentional. Either that or the designer looked at one of those phone card games for reference and thought it was a waifumon.

You forgot it, didn't you?

>Warudamon will never be used again
Fucking

I could never. Appmon is the 2nd best season behind tamers

I didn't watch it, but I downloaded it and have it on my drive.

Is it actually that good? I have trouble believing it.

>Is it actually that good?
Yes, a lot of people like to write it off, usually as a joke or just because they haven't seen it, but it really is great for what it's suppose to be(digimon for kids)
There is a lot of filler crap that can bog it down at times but when it has it's moments, it can be damn good. It's leagues above past seasons like frontier, xros wars, and young hunters

You are a faggot.

I can smell you from here ya pencil neck weeb

ODAIBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Digimon designs peaked at Terriermon
Digimon has better games and anime but at least Pokemon has had some decent monster designs in the last 15 years.

too many anime mons
>floaty animations and battles
>battle skills are mindless, feel samey despite having different animations to them
>linear progression, which makes no sense in a game of this nature
Digimon World on PS1 got it just right, but instead of sticking to that formula and improving on it, they just had to fuck it up
