I get that feeling very heavily. 1 had a lot of lore uncovering and people wanted more of that but it doesn’t feel like Scott can do series.
Scott does plan shit out sometimes though, like World having someone who's not actually the Purple Guy represent the Purple Guy as foreshadowing for Michael.

I remember playing the first game a few years back and it seemed like a flavour of the month.
In the first game, the backstory was little more than an easter egg.
Every motherfucker then jumped on how 'dark' the premise of the games were as the furry murderbots were now furry murderbots possessed by dead kids which made it all the more alluring for some reason.
From that point onwards the games lore was made increasingly esoteric to avoid spoonfeeding their audience until it all collpased in on itself around 4/FNAF world whre the lore barely makes any sense
