Donkey Kong Country
hand-me-down SNES around 2000. handful of games, SMW and DKC included.
first game i laid my hands on though was Doom95 before my dad upgraded to XP. i was less concerned with the new UI than i was with Doom suddenly gone.
Console: Family (chink famicom counterfeit sold in mexico)
Game: One of those 100 in 1 cartridges where a third of the games would not even open.

I had a chinese NES clone with a 9999999999999in1 game cartridge that had basic stuff like Super Mario Bros,, Bomberman, Tank and such.
Next one was a PS2 with Sands of Time.

Atari 2600, Frostbite/Yar's revenge/Pitfall
Sega Genesis and Sonic 2. My dad bought it for Madden football and couldn’t get it to work properly. Either way Sonic was never good and when I discovered Super Mario World and Mario Kart I wanted those for Christmas and ended up getting a N64 with Mario Kart and never picked up the Genesis again...I don’t even know if the parents still have it. Probably not.
Does a Game Boy Pocket count? My dad got me one when I was about 4 or 5, with Super Mario Land. I think he got me and my sister a PS1 a year or so later, but the GB was my first personal one and I played the shit out of SML
He died soon after
N64
Harvest moon
Genesis, Sonic 1/2 and some sports games
A few misc. games as well
Why wouldn't it count? Your dad sounded based, btw.
Exactly the same for me for my first console. Next up was PS1 with Resident Evil 2.
I guess were expecting like actual consoles here and not handhelds, but thanks user
From what little I can remember, he was pretty based. Thanks user

Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64.
NES with the SMB/Duck Hunt combo cartridge, but a cousin had a 2600 with DK Jr., Pitfall, and ET before us that we'd play all the time.
technically my first console was an NES and my first game was Mario Bros 3. It was a hand me down from my older brother. My first console that I could call my own was N64 and my first game for that console was goldeneye which I still play to this day with mouse and keyboard support
