You miss out on Atris' feelings for the Exile just for a few "you're pretty so I want you to die" lines. Not worth it

Sexual tension is especially delicious between space Jesus-Visas-Handmaiden-Atris. It also gives Atris' actions more meaning.

You miss out of so much story going female.
Handmaiden adds more than Disciple to plot and backstory. Atris's actions make next to no sense as female exile. Kreia lets slip more of her backstory to a male exile.
All female exile has going is Sion getting a crush of them.

It drags on and on, though, you're stuck in the same grey old hallways with the characters brushing you off if you attempt to get more story out of them because you're supposed to be escaping. You also get teased constantly with containers you can't open if you don't want to level up Security for roleplaying reasons.
I think playing in Difficult might be a poor choice the first time through since the increased difficulty for the skill checks block you out of a lot of things.

Playing anything other than space jesus is playing the game wrong.

Of the default faces, I go with Jesus or the Blonde Guy.

I usually use a mod for a Galen Marek look though, because that vaguely resembles my actual looks
