Super is bad if you think about it. The ToP has enough stupid cool moments to be a somewhat enjoyable if you just turn your brain off.
That said, even those moments are far between. DBS is a huge downgrade from DBZ which was already a step down from DB.

Considering they released the first ten minutes of 3.0+1.0 and it was nothing but fight scenes with Mari I find it extremely hard to believe they're gonna successfully pull off any kind of 'the rebuilds are a sequel' type twist in the film.

Absolute anime pleb here. As in I've watched maybe 5 total series and Akira. If I only watched the original NGE (no movies) should I bother with anything else? Like the one with 30 seconds of silence on an elevator. I honestly enjoyed the whole thing and thought the ending was perfect.

If you've seen the original 26 episodes then watch End of Evangelion then I'd say just go ahead and watch 1.11,2.22 and 3.33, they're flawed in many, many ways but a lot of people are speculating it's actually a long con and the rebuild series will be revealed to be a direct sequel to the original series in the upcoming and final, fourth film, which kind of makes sense as so far the films kind of make zero sense and are 90% battle scenes.
