I need advice. I'm looking into possibly upgrading from my wired 360 controller to a wired xbox one controller(wireless+usb dongle) for pc play, but I have limited experience with the xbox ones controller. Has anyone gone through the upgrade and can talk about experiences?
I've seen some reviews for the 1 controller online mentioning things like headphone jacks not working, sticks ghosting input and buttons like the A button double-tapping, but on a different website, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive with little criticism. Can anyone vouch one way or the other?
This. I wish I could get a new one, they are very expensive now.

I have a Xbone controller that I've been using for 4+ years. I personally find it more comfortable than the 360, but the difference is marginal as they're both the best general-use controllers available for PC. The only gripes I have are that the shoulder buttons feel weird at first (which I hear has been fixed in the more recent models), and the d-pad is clicky as opposed to a soft buckle which I'm not fond of.
That said, those have been my experiences while using it wired. The dongle has given me nothing but grief just because of dumb driver shit, so it's more convenient and introduces less latency to just go wired. It has also just now developed some slight ghosting on the left stick, but I have also been less than kind to it over the years, so I'm honestly surprised it's the only issue.

Honestly, both are good, but I do not like the dongle as it can easily be pulled out.
If I could have another 360 controller, I'd probably grab that but Amazon has cheap Xbone wired controllers which I do like the feel of.

Why did you get a dongle? No bluetooth on your mom’s laptop?
Zachary Scott
anyone have experience with the bluetooth xbox one s controllers? you don't need the dongle right?

just do as don mattrick said and stick with 360. the bone controller is hardly an "upgrade". also if you're a shill trying to drum up discussion, then fuck you.

I've had multiple 360 and xbone controllers for my PC for multiplayer games and I would say that preferences between either are largely personal. I use wired and wireless xbone controllers exclusively now and haven't had any problems or complaints.

If the 360 one still works then I don't see the point. It's a controller, it does the same shit, you idiot.

you're doing it wrong, user. you need to post some anime loli and say "blocks your path" then you'll get 400 replies in 15 seconds or less.

get the xb1 controller, it's far superior than the 360 version.
Symmetrical sticks and digital triggers are valid complaints. These are bad.

Redpill me. What's the pricetag on this controller, usually, and what's the best place to get it?
William Morgan
>he thinks his Xbox controller actually works correctly for all PC games How can a board about videogames be full of people who know so little about videogames

You can get knock-off ones on eBay that feel very similar for like $12, if you want to use it on your PC 8bitdo do a USB adapter that it'll sync with, that goes for about $10 too.
