My father was such a maniac that he beat Myst without any assistance. Took him 3 or 4 years but still. The notebook that came with the game is probably still around in his old office, littered with his notes.

You have to match the tone. The hassle part to you have to go back and forth between the piano and the slider.

Not doing this with both Myst and then Riven is one of my chief regrets. So many games are tough and unfair, but not Myst - unless you're tone deaf.

Clinging too much to the past to the point that he was willing to do shady shit in service of his goals. Otherwise he was a very sympathetic character. Like any good antagonist.

I played through it all, but after the online features had shut down. Multiplayer is antithetical to the somber isolation of the Myst games, so I don't feel I missed much, but who knows? In any case, the financial fallout from that creative blunder almost destroyed Cyan.
