What's your answer to this?
What's your answer to this?
i'll stop buying them
wont stop the rest of you retards from giving these studios your money though
How many of those games are shitty mobile games, hm?
Shitty clickbait headline. Snore.
Don't buy the extras. You can play and even purchase the game without the extras.
The only time I would buy DLC is if it were an actual expansion that takes place after the main quest or if it were part of a "Game of the Year" package.
Yeah AAA games never have dlc and microtransactions.
It's nugamers fault.
gas chambers
Fake article.
using cheat engine and mods to get the microtransactions for free
let it happen, let it get so bad that governments will make laws against it.
I don't play at least 87% of new games.
i simply do not buy them or even play them (i.e) fortnite
Not buying them
Wow that was hard I get to save money and spend it somewhere else like into figurines or comics
Of course they do, dumbass. I literally never said they didn't, dumbass.
If the statistic includes the billions of shitty spamware mobile games that nobody plays then the stat is useless.
You have to know how the statistic was created before you know what it means, dumbass.
>we only looked at 8 games published by shit AAA publishers and 7 of them were shit
Play games from previous gens that I missed out on.
Here's a fact: world is not consist of you or your friend circle.
call him a kike and move on.
nothing
i love AssCreed and never had to pay for MTX in any of those games because are not worth anything
Archive link? I can't find the article anywhere.
Reminder that companies brought that shit to hardcore platforms because they worked on mobile. They shouldn't be allowed by the public anywhere.
won't stop the thread from getting 400 replies
Here is another fact: I dont give a fuck
I enjoy tons of things I could do fine if I stopped buying games today forever
I don't care about new games anymore so whatever
Even if you just included popular games most of them would probably have micro transactions anyways
>probably
Then we've moved away from statistics and onto feelings
I simply just see it as a reason to not buy a game. I am extremely picky with my selection of games from the get-go and rampant DLC/Microtransactions are massive filters for these types of games.
The headline is fake, dumbass.
Not a problem.
>tfw only one of the games I've bought has mtx or launch DLC
>all of the other ones have been complete from the start
I guess I dodged a bullet? Idk, I don't buy many console games now (just 3DS stuff mostly) and haven't bought a game on PC with any of that since 2016 (100% Orange Juice, which was a dollar).
Even then so it's still a core issue with gaming, fake article or not. Most games have that cancer so far up the ass these days
Okay? That doesn't change the fact that you have to understand samples before you make conclusions about statistics.
Without any additional context stats like OP's headline mean nothing.
The point is that is pointless to talk about samples because there were none to begin with, OP just pulled it out of his arse.
Fake headline or not with all of the mobile games flooding the market I wouldn't be surprised if that number was actually conservative.
It's not pointless to talk about samples and it doesn't matter that OP's article is fake, dumbass.
We're not discussing an article, dumbass. We're discussing microtransactions and day-1 DLC and how they affect games, none of which are dependent on OP's headline being real, dumbass.
Absolutely this, i fucking hate normalfaggots' absolute lack of integrity or self control. The industry is unironically fucked permanently beyond repair. See you faggots in hell
I might be a worthless piece of shit, but at least I've never payed for a lootbox.
That's why I pirate 100% of the new games I bother to play.
Don't buy the microtransaction shit or DLC. How little impulse control do you have?
Correct answers.
Make my own game with space pirates and pretty girls
>And Blackjack! And Hookers!
Enforce a law that any software that has MTX and/or ads must also maintain a version with both of them entirely disabled, to be updated concurrently with with the original version, and not costing anymore than that game would.
I don't buy them.
If they have singleplayer just pirate them, it's the only reasonable solution to the problem. The profit margins on these products are astronomical at this point, they're starting to make big pharma look reasonable.
Complete socioeconomic collapse. It's my answer to most things, and it's coming.
this is what happens when games turn into fast food products
Fpbp
I only buy 80-90% off or pirate.
Hack in a million billion trillion thousand dollars "worth" of currency and consumables to each and every player of these games to demonstrate to everyone how these shitty cash-grab systems can invalidate any accomplishments they make in the game.
increase price of games and make dlc free
Not buy the microtransactions?
I only play modded minecraft
Those are free
Playing old games, pirating them, or waiting to buy the GOTY edition for $5 about a year after release. Most new games aren't even functional at launch, so paying full price usually just disappoints me.
My answer is FUCK KOTAKU!!!!!!
I only play single player Japanese games.
I don't buy them at launch. I don't like multiplayer and dislike fragmentation so I just wait for complete editions to be cheap.
Go back in time and kill Gabe Newel
1934.
Well the only games I've bought this year are DMCV and CTR NF. One doesn't have microtransactions and the other gives you an in game way to avoid it completely.
