I tried to catch this nigger for hours in the safari area thing

>no evolution line
DROPPED

you’d be in tears if I linked with you nigga

Why is Normal Type the best type? Only fags use Dragons

Used to hate Pokemon with no evolutions as a kid but now I love them. It makes them more special.

i miss old competitive pokemon
it was fun to use pokemon like miltank and tauros which get no use nowadays

I only ever needed 3 pokemon to win the game, and my hamburger isn't one of them.

>normal type
>get dabbed on by fighter chads aka THE CHAMP

Dragons weren't really a viable choice until later generations anyway.

I used to run this nigger back in stadium. Body slam all day

>Didn't run a Persian with slash

Based cats

>Dragonite wasn't viable in gen 1
Dragons have always been viable. When you have a weakness to yourself and Ice, you're automatically a defensive god.

There was only one dragon type in Gen 1, and you couldn't get it until late game. The only Dragon type move was Twister, which was weak as hell. And you'd have to raise it to the 50's to make it actually worth anything. There are other mons with good stats in that gen that are easier to raise.

Of course you remember everyone and his grandma runs Blizzard in Gen 1.

I'm actually using a Tauros I traded from Crystal in my current playthrough of Blue as my surfer.

Twister was gen II, only dragon move in Gen I was Dragon Rage, which did 40 hp damage every time.
Anyway, Dragonite in RBY is mediocre for lacking real dragon moves, and being outclassed by others as a support Mon or offensive threat.
His best use in link battles is trapping slower mons with Wrap until they die or are in kill range of another move.

>His best use in link battles is trapping slower mons with Wrap until they die or are in kill range of another move
So many of my E4 runs in Stadium were ended by Thunder Wave/Wrap combo. A fair amount of raging was done.

And my Jolteon would kick its shit in so why should I care?

ooo mr badass jolteon

Hows your spiky yellow dog dipshit? Oh thats right probably pissing on stuff. Get a real pokechad incel

Pic unrelated I'm guessing?
What a shitty mon

Take it back

Duuuur lemme put some boxing gloves on a humanoid pokemon duuuur deee duhhhhhhrr so creative mommy look at this pokemon I drew derrrrrrrr

>Poor man's Fearow

Attached: image_1.png (761x552, 510K)

LMAO literally missed every hit

He's actually an amazing in-game mon in general. Definitely underrated.

>Poor man's Dodrio

It's not very effective...

Attached: 396-Starly.png (263x300, 48K)

Wasn't it Persian? Either way outside gen 1 Tauros has never been shit, just relatively mediocre. I like my meme Sheer Force Tauros with Rock Climb.

If you played japanese blue, you could get one in an in game trade and not have to do that retarded safari zone shit.

>caring about stats in RBY

>has to use a top tier to even stand a chance at winning because he doesn't understand the game at a fundamental level
>has the audacity to call other people casual
never change, smooth brain

Tauros was a combination of fast and strong enough to abuse gen 1 hyper beam

I'm so fucking pissed this pokey is region locked in pokemon go.
Who thought it was a good idea to region lock this shit AAAARRRGHHHHHHH

Attached: Anger.jpg (722x516, 155K)

>tfw only kid smart enough to use a boltbeaming Starmie
>tfw only kid smart enough to run swords dance

I was the best.

He was strong with leech seed too. Very hard to kill, also scaled really well per level. Pic related is a pretty similar in that he's also overlooked but scales insane per level and also has one of the highest attack stats per lvl in the game (though his special attack is really weak). Also has a one hit KO move, which I always prefer in my pokemon

Attached: Kingler.jpg (800x498, 49K)

>not just using nidoking

Attached: 1562361075789.png (800x256, 77K)

Persian had Slash to guarantee crits, but other than that it was pretty medicore.
Sheer Force Tauros can get Body Slam as of RVY VC.

Don't mind me, just having a 102% chance to critical.

retard he only gets STAB on his water type moves which are all special in gen 1.

He is my favourite pokemon though.

STAB wasn't nearly as valuable back then.

What does STAB mean? I used him in Gold, and mostly played around his physical attacks like Stomp, Stength, Guillotine, etc. I did have Surf on him, though in some iterations I would go Blizzard or Hyper Beam, as his only spec attack

Same-type attack bonus. Moves that match your Pokemon's type are boosted by 50%.

I never used Normal types period. They were boring. They were normal.

>He is my favourite pokemon though.
Whats with all the Kingler chads lately? For years Yea Forums fprgpt about him

Attached: 1547678980331.png (1000x1414, 2M)

Why is there only one pure flying type

I remember thinking Pidgeot was better than Fearow just because its line had an extra evolution.

because it isn't a good type. even normal/flying is objectively better.

Hes not even the best crab pokemon

Attached: 250px-341Corphish.png (250x250, 71K)

>he thinks crayfish and crab are the same thing

That's not a crab

comes too late. By the time you can get one Nidoking already stomps everything

>That kid who picked squirtle and thought his Nidoking, Arcanine, Blastoise team was unique

because we need people who play a casual mobile game to purchase expensive tickets around the continent every gen

guys the new pokemon has a tanned girl with barefeet
based based based

even if Stick gave him 100% crit rate it would still be shit in every generation.

>Yea Forums haven't even gone through one Pokemon game using a full team of shitmons
lol, I thought you scrubs said the games are "2 ez"
Why are you so afraid of using shitmons then?

>get an awesome boxing crab in S&M
>evolves into a significantly less awesome crab
I would've been infinitely happier if they were two unrelated crabs that didn't evolve.

regional evo soon
i bet they fuck up the design something fierce

STAB was ALWAYS valuable. Just because some Pokemon could work without it didn't mean it wasnot' The best Pokemon from Gens 1 through 3 always had strong STAB options to utilize.

I've thought about going through gen 3 with only water types. Mudkip starter, grab a Lotad early, a Corphish, later a Feebas and whatever ones evolve into Sharpedo and Walrein, I forget. Would that qualify?

>Thick Club exists
>Light Ball exists
>but making Stick do something worth a damn isn't allowed
make stick double speed and give it 100% crit rate. At least then it would work against some Intimidate mons

>not using your favorites

Attached: Papl4aE.jpg (1440x1524, 785K)

Uh...I have a Gengar on my team too. That's unique, right?

why do people like genar but he;s just a fatter uglier haunter?
haunter is prime edgy ghost its perfect

Tyranitar was still the king of OU in gen 3 despite Dark being special. Same with Zapdos' Drill Peck in gen 2.

This seems like a good thread to ask. So I haven't played pokemon since gold and silver came out and was looking to get back into it since Sword and Shield are coming out and me and my older bro are going to get back into it.. So whats changed since gen 2?

This bad boy was the MVP of my BW2 team.

Attached: 1200px-560Scrafty.png (1200x1200, 519K)

>High speed
>High special
>Can use psychic and electric attacks
>Decent physical stats for a special-focused mon
Objectively better than Alakazam

LEEKED

GOD KING OF GENWUN INCOMING

Attached: 1380780608268.gif (500x250, 948K)

I'm going to laugh so hard when it gets confirmed you can't find Scrafty or Stoutland in the UK themed region. You would think they would be absolute lock-ins since they make the most sense instead of KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

the desert mons are all kino i end up getting half my entire team in that area every single time

Feels nice having good taste.

Attached: 121Starmie_RG.png (558x594, 400K)

LORD OF LIGHTNING SHIFTS HIS GAZE

Yup both crabs

Did you know you can solely judge how shit a Pokemon generation is solely by seeing where Starmie stands in the meta?

sorry only fossilchads allowed

Attached: archeops.png (186x169, 14K)

reminder hitmonlee dumpsters hitmoncuck

but Starmie is always to tier

Magnezone is the king of BW2 in game.

So true. I ended up doing the same with Darumaka, Scraggy, and Trapinch.

excluding megas there are no surving genwun OU lads anymore
pretty sure skarmory and ttar are the only long running OU fuckers now

Put that abortion bird down for it's own sake

Dropped to UU in gen 6 until Greninja was banned.

Back in the red blue days Tauros was the nost elusive pokemon. I remember catchimg them all aside from Tauros. He was the last ine I needed. I finally got one and the pokemon box was full. It still hurts.

>that kid who liked pokemon without evolutions
what was his story?

Tauros was only good in Gen I

They should just remake Gen I every gen to shut them up instead of making it spill into every single game.

Alakazam chads where are you at

He was a manlet twink so he liked pokemon that represented no growth or development

Is this your god

Attached: incelmonlee.png (209x244, 6K)

user I saw people praising the SS culling saying they'd like it down to just the 151 despite LGPE being last year, it wouldn't help.

>Worse Gengar
>"chad"

>immune to ground moves
>worse

Persion on the other hand....
