is there any reason not to just go full tactics? I just reached BC1 and there are tons of blueprints I can unlock, but they're all so fucking expensive and the turrets are already really fucking good. am I just gonna bloat the item pool?

Just use whatever you think is fun. Bows, grenades, turrets, and tactics in general just make the game much easier.
To add on this, higher difficulies have increased cell drop rates so you won't have any problem getting cells.
Whatever floats your boat.
Tactics is for glass cannon builds. You may not feel like a glass cannon in the lower boss cells, but wait until you reach BC3 or BC4.
How do I do well in this game. On BC2 but have hit a wall.
pretty much any build with some sort of synergy works
you need to constantly be doing damage at all times
why even bother with that annoying shit game with random generated shitstains?
Focus on 1 color and sink all your points into that. You'll still get 2-color scrolls that are not your main color for boosting your HP. Learn to not get hit and take all cursed chests. You should pick up every scroll possible.
>BC2
If you're going green get Dead Inside and Necromancy for the health pool and healing. For other color get Gastronomy instead. On 2 BC food isn't even infected so you can get good healing from Gastronomy. If you don't have that mutation then focus a single run on getting it.
Reminder that the update ruined the game by making the champion enemies fucking terrible especially on higher boss cell runs
Why bother expressing your worthless opinion about it?
alright, so should I try to mix it up a bit or just go full one-colored? this game is a bit overwhelming and BC1 is kicking my ass
thanks for the bump, retard
Which update was that? The update that ruined the game was whichever one introduced malaise.
The same happened to me, so I sort of dropped it.
The jump from BC0 > BC1 was pretty big, but after learning the enemy and map patterns it felt easy enough; I could manage to get to to castle more or less every try.
On BC2 the early levels are fine enough, but around the midpoint all enemies gets really spongy and it gets really hard to ration your health.
One color. And only pick up weapons and items with that color as well. So grenades are almost completely obsolete (there are a few tactics grenades). Traps and Skills are your friends. Same with melee weapons. Tactics is for ranged weapons.
>Pumping tactics
>Ever
Brutality for lyfe.
I'm so pissed I missed the gala bundle
Well, I didn't but it sold out fast as fuck
Stills wondering if the game is worth 12 buckwrooolees
Brutality is nice, but I like survival more because its weapons are more fun to use.
Except the twinblades, those are dogshit.
They're still better than the spartan sandals. Nothing is worse than them.
This game's difficulty curve is such retarded shit. This game needs to be handed to competent dev's who understand the word "balance". Half the items or more are absolute garbage and should never be unlocked, and every update just makes the game worse. Theres almost no point to even levelling because bosses, especially the final cocksucker, outscale the fuck out of you anyway.
Survival is fine to pump into too, Tactics just feels worthless to me. I rarely use my traps.
Tactics is pretty good, traps especially so. Its the most boring to play since you die in one or two hits and rely on traps and turrets.
Survival is a good balance, you don't get one shotted, good health regen options available on all BCs, long range weapons give more options. Shields are great. The downside is you need to plan your approach a bit and not just spam attack.
Tactics is eh, having turrets fight for you is effective but lame
