Is there another case like Valkyria Chronicles? Where a series starts out very promising and as such gets a number of sequels and spinoffs, but literally everything after the very first entry is a stream of absolute fucking diarrhea?
With movies you have Jurassic Park for example but with games nothing like that comes to mind. It must be a very rare case in gaming. Perhaps VC sets the precedent.
