Strength in numbers, Arisen.

>Feel like watching a comfy blind LP of this game

Fucking shit. DD is not nearly as popular as Yea Forums would have you believe.

Attached: 1558962337478.png (1280x720, 1.82M)

Theres way more people who had already played the original releases playing it on PC.

the damage mitigation system they used in this game was really stupid. enemies were total damage sponges if you were a hair too early to challenge them

>somehow meant to beat these guys and rescue quina BEFORE you get to gran soren
bullshit

Fuck me I remember this asshole. Dragon's dogma was a neat game but fucking hell their equipment system was retarted.

Most people on the newer platforms are double or triple dipping. DD has an established fanbase but it's obviously tiny. RPGs are so popular it's even easy to find gamur gurl LPs of the legit variety, but for this there's nothing, except for Germans apparently.

It would have been slightly less retarted if they didn't feel the happy jappy need to make all the numbers in the 100's. But they did, so it could easily swap between being statistically impossible to be hurt, and statistically impossible to hurt them.

I have always done just that, even on Hard mode which is the only way you should be playing.

THEY ARE MASTER WORKS ALL YOU CAN'T GO WRONG

Maybe Yea Forums isnt for you

Why have you come here?

I bought it 2 years ago, but never played far.
Just to the first mayor city and thats it. I also failed the Witch Wood quest (because i forget that i cant continue her, when i reach the city).
Should i give it another try?

If you endure to get beyond the Wyrm Hunt quests you'll likely be hooked.

Attached: 1547174836763.jpg (544x416, 43K)

alright, also should i be worried for getting 1-2 cancelled quests?

Don't worry about those until NG+.

thanks fren, then its time to restart my old adventure. the sorcerer looked interesting

Try harder to fit in you underage faggot. People have been watching others play video games since before the internet was invented and you were but a polyp on your mother's uterus.

I didn't like Dark Souls as I found it boring, but enjoy Monster Hunter, would I enjoy this game?

I'm playing ng+ on hard mode and one shoting everything, do enemies not get stronger?

The game progresses in phases, when you complete parts of the main quest it progresses to the next phase and thing change in the world. If you are worried about missing quests, complete them before moving on with the main quest. You can you moved to the next phase when the NPCs get different dialogue.

Hard just makes you take double damage and drain stamina faster.

Hard mode is meant to be played from the beginning, don't bitch it next time. Also it does more than this guy says

Yeah but I expected enemies to get a buff and instead I fuck up everything that isn't from bitterblack.

The UI of this game was diabolical

ah, now i see how it works, thanks alot

Just do a lap around the Gran Soren capital and the starting village, Cassardis, every time you you do a quest or two that advance the main story as the main quest is in chapters when determines what side quests unlock/advance/cancel. It's good to do as many of the side missions as possible before the main ones as doing the side quests keeps you leveled enough to keep your head above the water in terms of enemy levels in whatever new area the main quest ships you off to. Also as a heads up for exploration is if you didn't have a main quest in a certain area of the map yet then that area's baddies will be very tough to deal with.

DD's balance is the farthest thing from perfect but Hard mode from the beginning is as close as it gets. The enemies have the same health but their damage and properties force you to actually build your character (no min maxing) instead of just mindlessly stacking offense gear and augments, gear upgrades mean something and so do the various consumables, no enemy starts out as already being fodder, etc. The game actually has a curve in Hard mode, you start off at a severe disadvantage and progress to the state you're in now. On normal mode it's a flat line followed by a continuous drop. The economy gets thrown away in Hard mode but on normal you don't even need the money.

It's worth noting that not all quests get canceled the minute you move to a different phase, many of them overlap. If a quest gets canceled then it's because something happens to the character or the location in the new phase, since you have no way of knowing this though unless you spoil yourself with guides, doing the quests before moving with the main one is an easy way to go about it.

DDO dies so DD2 can exist.

It's entirely possible you use to be gay but the game has turned you straight.

We sacrificed DDO so DD2 may live one day.

Nah, DDO is dying so MHW can be milked even more.

what should i rebind my primary skills button to? its really fucking uncomfortable to keep your pinky on ctrl all the time. or should i just use a controller?

Sure thing zoomy.

Why in the seven hells would you even attempt to play with a keyboard and mouse?

But yes, use a controller.

I wish I could change vocations and skills on the fly

wh1sper 123 has a bunch of playthroughs

just play the game moron

A mouse with 2+ buttons on the side of it is fantastic for this game, especially if you're playing ranged vocations. Just map the skills buttons to mouse 4 and 5. I prefer it greatly to a controller. If you don't have that kind of mouse however then yes a controller would be a better option.

Thanks for the suggestion but i don't find it interesting if it's not blind.

When does this game get fun?

When you are turned gay by a pawn.

>play strider on my way to fighter
>play assassin on my way to fighter
>play ranger on my way to fighter
>play fighter
>go back to ranger

Attached: 679179.jpg (960x720, 94K)

It never stops being fun, you apparently just hate fun.

When you go to BBI at level 3

But I'm already gay
I guess it just feels slow. I'm playing as a mage and I'm waiting for it to get good. I wanted to get it because it looked great in the videos I've seen but maybe it takes a while to get good.

Also, any recommended mods?

>warrior
not when it's gimped to only 3 skills
>Mercedes
wholeheartedly agree

serious answer is fun is subjective from person to person, you may never find it fun however the majority agree it's either once you get to Gran Soren or after you finish the Wyrm Hunt quests. For me it was the latter.

Attached: 1555535095297.gif (362x512, 1.86M)

dude, fuck mages. unironically don't play mages or sorcs. it's a meme and it's not fun.

Found your problem

Imagine coming to a video game discussion board, a place where you are supposed to listen to other people share their experiences and opinions on video games and then get triggered over someone wanting to see someone else share their experience and opinion of a video game first hand and through a more entertaining medium that doubles as vicariously reliving your own experiences as well, all just because you are expected to behave that way in order to fit in with the lowest common denominator.

It boggles the mind. It's almost like it's the product of severely diminished mental faculties.

Attached: bully mercedes.jpg (1920x1080, 258K)

Warrior is the only legitimately bad vocation in the game.

Right so what class then? Strider? I also like playing ranged because I'm a wimp

You could also make a case for Mage, on the sole reasoning that Sorcerer exists.

is the two hander too heavy for you?

no but its too heavy for you, you fucking single jumping bitch

Strider then MK and MA, they might be your cup of tea

you're overthinking this entire thing, honestly. you can always change vocations, and you'll want to because a lot of them have great skills that can be carried over to other vocations.

look them up on a wiki if you want, but the game is more about levelling up vocations than sticking to just one for the entire playthrough. same with your pawn.

strider will help you get a feel for it, assassin is a little more involved and ranger is easily my favorite. dont let the name fool you, rangers fuck shit up in CQC just as much as ranged.

Why do we suddenly have 3 DD threads? I’m not complaining though.

I'll give strider a go. Thanks anons

If you REALLY like ranged then go ranger. Strider is melee focused, ranger is range focused. Mystic Archer is an in-between with magic buffs and elements. Mystic Archer rapes BBI. Ranger with tenfold and blast arrows rapes everything.

Post memes.

Now I wanna replay it again

No, the mage is fully fleshed out and complete class. You say that because you want to play a different role than what the mage is for, if you wanted that role then the mage would look just as appetizing to you.

Actually yes, i would increase the acceleration of the attacks a bit but the problem is that the warrior is the most blatantly unfinished class in the game.

>do the bull rush attack
>Expect colliding with the target and continuously doing damage while pushing it around ending with the uppercut
>Instead collide with target, do a single tick of damage, phase through it while it stands in place and do the uppercut 3 miles down the road.

And that's not even the worse skill. Trash.

shame that we got the inferior version

Attached: Design_Works0058.jpg (2552x3509, 2.21M)

Even better is that you can only use 3 of those trash skills opposed to the 6 every single other class gets. The best skill warrior has takes about 5 years to charge.

Attached: 1549914438520.png (424x584, 227K)

>those garish pink hearts
>on fucking plate
What a monstrosity, what were they thinking discarding that design? Might've romanced her if that would've been the version we got.

Don't use AoD then, use a Lunge, or Slash skill. Exodus Slash is one of my favorite go to Warrior skills

this is an actual crime for not picking 3

>Exodus Slash followups do fuck all damage and have 5 years of recovery frames
>Not even a damage boost for timing it right like the vastly superior pure melee class has

It's just a mess

Is there a mod that let's you earn the maximum stat boost in all stats every time you level up? Like Assassin strength, Warrior hp, Sorc magic etc?

Still better than AoD that takes one eternity to charge since it gives invincibility frames while still doing damage.

yes, dumb people did that.

*blocks your path*

Attached: 1486665652791.jpg (1920x1080, 278K)

On hard mode that move is permanently glued to your slot, bringing the total amount of available skill for warrior to a whopping 2

Can someone explain the appeal of Assassin? It just seems to be worse than every class it apes.

MUH TALISMAN
MAH RIIIIIING...

it's more of a utility vocation than strider and ranger which are big deeps

It also heavily supports certain playstyles. Specifically, questing at night or solo with no pawn.

lmao why would anybody go with book magic over scrolls?

>Worse aesthetic by far

Julien did nothing wrong

not only negate any none magick hit but also *teleports behind you* in exchange for stamina

dark arisen nerfed it hard

I prefer what they went with. It adds some nice waifu variation
>homely wholesome village girl that comes off as a childhood friend that does what she does just because she cares about you, romantically or not
>lewd shopkeeper of exotic goods that you slowly comes to appreciate you

I'll never understand why people get so obsessed with AoD, or why they would think its the only way to play Warrior. Its got Ferocity for a reason, Warrior has great attack strings. Ferocity, Eminence and a Longsword/Greathammer is a great combination with Warrior jumping attacks too which also stagger 90% of enemies in one jumping Light Attack.

Itsuno had the choice to do either DMC5 or DD2. He's finished with DMC for now, so it's a high chance he's doing DD2 right now. Fuck, he even posted a twitter pic with him having a picnic with a new dev team.

The game seems to imply that the kind of person to make a waifu pawn instead of a bro pawn lacks the strength to become Seneschal.

Attached: DA129.jpg (1280x720, 101K)

buy it, you can sell the dlc shit for a bunch of cash

Both. Shops update the further you move down the main quest line BUT DON'T RUSH IT

if you are playing daggers/bow there is no reason, switch back to strider and you get to use brain splitter and fracture dart which are highest dps in the game.
If you want to use sword it is GOAT, get the powder barrel, dire gouge for climbing sword attacks is stronger than kisses skill. WIndmill slash and intimate strike are both really good DPS. Moving castle is only skill that lets you block and move at same time, can switch to bow at any time when you need ranged DPS as well.

in DA version the augments are hot garbage, in the original the things that boost solo/night stats and damage were completely busted and stacking them with everything else made you way overpowered. IMO it's not that great since as you keep playing you will get completely busted no matter what.
If you take augs from the other physical classes and carry them over Assassin becomes really good. Nothing will beat Strider, though.

the black cat sells good armor also once you progress enough you get a quest from the armory guy that makes his items better

You hardly stay level 3 for long.
Throw them throwblasts more accuratly!

Fighter is way better than Assassin when it comes to sword.

At some point the equipment seller is gonna ask you to find an idol so that he can sell you better shit. You'll come across a bronze idol really early on, but I recommend trying to get the gold idol. I forget when it's available, but the only quest to get it comes from the merchant's daughter Simone (red dress in Gran Soren). If you do it perfectly (with a guide desu), she'll give you a gold idol and you can buy all the gud shit from Caxton.

How important is paying attention to stat growth again? I have a somewhat mid level character I played as a mage/sorc.MA. I want to try them as a MK but I don't know if I should level another class first for some more strength.

Fuck i love the memes from this show. It couldn't have come at a better time too

Fighter literally has the most tools and tech in the entire game. It's the most complete class followed by Strider.

More like "I can't be bothered to make two good looking characters".

Legion's Bite is the only thing of worth Fighter has over Assassin for Sword.

It's very important if your autism is tremendous.

>How important is paying attention to stat growth again?

ZERO. Do NOT fall for the min/max autist's bullshit.

Since you're going mystic knight, just a tip. Fire is probably the best early game shield enchantment to use on yourself, but holy is a good alternative as well since not a lot of things resist holy. Holy is good throughout the entire game.

die-hardman and christina aguilera

gear is way more important than the stat gain you gain from the classes
unless you are extremely autistic about minmaxing it won't matter since after lvl 100 you can oneshot almost everything in the entire game

The real question is, was Fournival really quilty of the crimes?

>class that has no range
its shit

Whatever you want to believe

Assassin has the same sword and board tech as well as daggers and a ranged option, the only thing that sucks is that half of the augments on assassin are fucking worthless.

Female Pawns = Male Pawns > brown slut Pawn > loli/shota Pawns > > cosplay Pawns >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shit >>>>>>>>>>>> meme Pawns

Nice. Thanks for the tip. I got some shield skill called dragonspire or something which seemed to do a dark defense, but I'll pick up some holy skills down the line.

Min-Maxn MK gives you roughly ~10% dmg difference vs playing "normally"

The moment min-maxin "matters" you're either 1-3 shotting shit or killing the big bad faggots under 4 minutes so I'd say min-max is only intented to min-max your autism

Based.

What is Burst/Blitz Strike?

>no ranged attacks
>no magic damage
>has to be literally carried through the whole game

Not a ranged attack

oh yeah a skill that is fucking useless for flying creatures
which are almost half of the monsters in the game
have fun also dealing with metal golems since you can't reach the last medal

Fighter seemingly has more trouble with flying enemies than Warriors given their even shorter reach

Attached: dark arisen.webm (1280x720, 802K)

I agree but Humans are the real master race.

Elf detected.

yeah but then what happens

>judging how others have fun in a single player game

you my friend are gayer than liberace's asshole

Fuck no. I want to watch someone play the game not babysit 500 toddlers and vlog.

Is this a game where you need stats to get anywhere, or is there some freedom when it comes to fashion and the like?

yes but i meant more that the game implied that gran soren area was basically a "tutorial" and that you would eventually venture out to other lands/towns/etc

you can grab harpies by the legs and pull them down if you are heavy

t.overweight loli player

doesnt it strike you as extremely gay that you unironically save pictures of bearded men's open mouths to your hard drive?

Hypothetical question; what if I'm not heavy?

Fuck off knife-ear.

You can wear what you like for most of the game barring the endgame dungeon.

You don't know shit about Demolition_D+ do you

Attached: get_out.jpg (640x2400, 210K)

the game is fairly easy regardless of what you play, but yes there can be occasional annoying moments if you don't play a more "versatile" class mostly because getting pawns to pick up the slack can be annoying as fuck. but you could make the same argument with physical vs magic etc so just play what you think is fun, there is literally no reason to minmax in this game.

ranger is easymode OP though, if streamrolling bosses & content is your thing.

It's not a problem. Make a ranged pawn and give it the right vocation, hire another ranged pawn and just play better. Having a "handicap" is part of playing a pure class.

I find Strider has even more interesting ranged mechanics than Ranger.

well if you are a loli they will lift you

Demo hasn't been relevant since 2014 or maybe even earlier.

You're going on a fun ride

Stats level up based on what vocation you are when you level up. In teh vanilla game this was important, since you could gimp yourself. With the release of the dark arisen expansion stats don't mean as much anymore, since over 2/3'rds of your raw stats will be coming from your gear when you hit the cursed armor/weapons/gear shortly in the DLC area.

Someone on the dragon's dogma general back in the day did the math. The difference in damage between a perfectly minmax leveled arisen vs. the worst leveling process possible was only about 12% - 15% when you factor in gear. Considering weapons, buffs from items, pawns, etc. it is not a big deal. The only time that people may still minmax is if they are making a solo assassin for online Ur-Dragon farming speed runs. Besides that, do whatever you want. I personally think that playing strider for 50 levels pre 100 is the best that a person can do, since you get balanced strength/magick/defense/magick defense levels as well as a fuck ton of stamina (which is the real main stat).

>there's a armory in grand soren that you can't use instead you have to spend money at the shop to enhance equipment
>have a house but can't even sleep in your bed instead you need to waste money in the inn
if money wasn't so easy to come by it would be annoying as fuck
i want to be able to fucking buy a house that isn't fucking useless in the sequel

minmaxing is pointless in this game, not really an appreciable difference especially because 99% of the game is single player outside of the pawn system. this is compounded by the fact that minmaxing generally means playing some class that you dont even like that much for 200 levels, and then switching to your desired class once you have finished the game (probably multiple times) which kind of defeats the purpose in the 1st place.

if your autism is really tickled too much, just use common sense (e.g. don't play sorc for 100 levels if you plan on playing a physical primary class late game or vice versa).

I'm sorry did i offend your favorite e-celeb? I watched his anime videos, he is funny. I also tried to watch him play video games, it was typical stream trash.

What's the practical difference between strider and ranger?

Is that effectively a stun and damage when they drop you, or can you do something when you are lifted? Is there a hard limit between too heavy and too light, or is there also a middle ground?

I'm still sad you can't make a catgirl

Demo's singleplayer streams are basically just him playing games and talking to himself for hours. Unless you're looking for no commentary let's plays you won't find anything better for somebody who doesn't overact or try to put on a show. I don't actually think he played Dogma blind on stream, so he probably wouldn't fit what you're looking for.

ranger uses "big" bows while strider uses "small" bows and by extension ranger is much more range-oriented (e.g. bow will be rangers main weap and is why they are OP). strider's bow is more for added versatility/support and they will shine more by climbing on top of big monsters and using daggers.

in DD2 probably

Attached: 1453633514307.jpg (1654x2339, 909K)

Strider
>close/medium range short bow
>daggers
>very mobile
>gets a hidden bonus to climbing speed, climb monsters 50% faster
>skills split damage between fast ground combos with daggers, climbing and shanking enemies with daggers, or swiftly putting arrows into an enemy
>bow is useful, but you'll do more damage with daggers (unless you use blast arrows)
>great all around playstyle, can accommodate different types of pawns with little difficulty

Ranger
>long bow
>daggers
>less mobile, some skills can't be used while moving
>can fire much more accurately and for longer distances
>bow can do a fuck ton of damage quickly
>some snipe skills can let you one shot enemies, can take multiple health bars off of bosses
>lots of damage potential, but pawns to help keep enemies away from you will be more important

just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt. can always try both out eventually and see which one you prefer.

the ranger has a skill that practically turns the bow into a machinegun turret

>we never got to go to the moon

Strider is more melee focused but the reality is that Ranger is just more melee limited because Strider has some of the best ranged skills in the game. Strider is the Rogue/Ninja class, your gameplay should be a mix of melee and ranged, Ranger is the archer class, your gameplay should be mainly ranged.

You can let go at any moment, you are the one holding on to them. If your pawns are trained right they can actually catch you if you fall from a big height. The lighter you are the faster they can fly away with you, the heavier you are the faster you will drag them down, in between you will just hover around. Don't base your character physique on this minor detail lol

As a fighter you can just wait for flying enemies to swoop down or map the anti air skill to a slot.

Strider gets (an insanely good) bonus to damage when climbing an enemy
Ranger can convert 100% of stamina into a ranged attack

Strider can shoot 6? Arrows at once
Ranger can shoot 10 arrows at once

I suppose a related question would be: What classes can the AI pawns use without being retarded? Ranger seems brainlessly easy, and I'd guess mages are too. Is this correct?

No wonder Ashe fell for his mommy.

post webms

Anything that's not warrior they can be effective as.

Anything but mage.

They are extremely effective as mage.

Getting mixed messages here. Can I get some arguments as well as the basic statements?

It really depends on inclinations and enemy knowledge for how a pawn will act, and pawns can utilize every available vocation easily. Like pawns with 1 star against skeletons will just use whatever skills, but pawns with 3 stars to skeleton knowledge will know blunt attacks work best, so fighter will use their shield bash to instantly shatter them, shit like that. What vocation pawns I take with me depends on what vocation my arisen is.

mage pawns with more than 1 enchantment skills are fucking retarded
if you want a good mage pawn keep to 1 single enchantment and build his skills around the same element

If going mage pawn, remember to get the legion's might. So there's no need to babysit them.

That was 1 week after the PC version dropped, I haven't played that account in a while, but I recall it being somewhere around 40 million RC.

Lots of mentions of Mage, does this go for Sorc as well?

Corona Slash, Indomitable Lunge, Exodus Slash. Mitigator/Challenger inclinations. You're welcome.

So what is objectively the best way to make sure your pawn always gets 5 stars and items from other players?

Has anyone actually played the game as a Mage arisen? What kind of playstyle is fun? I tried it but it seemed kind of lame. At least the sorcerer has the cool looking spells.

Pawns can do well with any vocation, some as Rangers spam the hell out of the right skills, while others only use dagger skills. That makes them good as Striders too.

Fighter Pawns who are loaded with just sword skills and can perfect block have a lot of value by being almost unkillable, Warrior Pawns with a stagger setup can stagger lock even the toughest BBI bosses

Blue vocations only need to either support, or cast offensive spells so if you see one climbing or getting in close its a bad Pawn

Mages are lousy healbots in DD. They're only good at buffing. Sorcs get all the offensive spells.

People over estimate the importance of Mages, healing is pretty valuable levels 1-60 but by 90+ you're better off using BBI consumables

inclinations, enemy knowledge, and skill choices are what matter. a pawn can have the best gear and skills but if they are a guardian/medicant they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING worthwhile.

for skills, a few basics

>never put charge skills on warrior pawns, they'll stand there charging a skill, the enemy will move, the pawn will stop charging and run over to the enemy and start charging again, never actually getting an attack off
>only use one enchant spell with a mage pawn, if you have two they'll just spam the two enchants over and over rather than help
>do not put enchants on a sorcerer pawn, they are there to do damage not enchant, it fucks with their AI
>don't put maelstrom on a sorc pawn, its a great spell but your pawns will cast it all the time, and you'llbe unable to see anything and probably get killed
>for sorc pawns, a quick cast skill like the basic lightning or fireball (levin and ingle) is always useful, they can snipe fast moving enemies like the ghosts, one or two medium cast spells like comestion is good for groups of small enemies, then fill the rest of the spells with world enders. gicel is great since lots of BBI enemies are weak to ice, fulmination is fantastic since lots of BBI enemies are weak to lightning and they can empower you if you are climbing.
>be careful about giving pawns healing items, they are not smart. once had a pawn stand in a puddle of water and get drenched, they used a panacea to cure the drenched status but never moved. they were immediately drenched again, used another panacea. burned through 6 of them before I got the rest out of their inventory.

just some basic shit, there is more but it can come later.

Attached: DD - Inclination Elixer Chart.jpg (653x702, 139K)

Making them a good pawn. But in the end if they die or fall in the water and don't get resummoned before the person saves, then your pawn is coming back with 3 stars and no gift. It happens.

>healing is pretty valuable
That's what warish is for; inexpensive, can carry tens to hundreds at a time, allows pawns to keep themselves alive, don't have to wait for a mage to cast a spell that forces you to remain stationary while only healing back white damage.

>that sidequest

It happens every playthough, fighting some undead and suddenly I accidentally complete it and I get 66 skullls put into my inventory instantly overburderning me.

Grapnel.

>Misses half the attacks
>does less damage than a fighter
>tanks worse than one

Yeah, nah

in retrospect there were a lot of stupidly stylish bosses. fucking daimon is like the coolest muscle mage ever.

What are these inclinations?

>buy empty glass vials from the apothecary in gran soren, counter next door to Caxton
>go to a healing spring
>"use" the spring
>get bottled spring water as a consumable

throw 20 into each pawns inventory and you're set. they heal the whole group, so each time a pawn heals itself it'll top everyone else off as well. the healing is pretty good, and can be a primary source of healing until the 60's or 70's, when your health starts to get higher and they are less effective. only downside is that they weigh more than other healing consumables, but I prefer it over having a dedicated healing mage pawn.

Go play the game before you spoil yourself with guides you dumbass.

Watch DSP's playthrough.

Mechanics like AI behavior can't really be that bad spoilers, right? Especially when not understanding it might ruin my experience.

Where the FUCK is the griffith poster.

Really it's up to the player, I like having a Mage at low levels for buffing as well as healing and I can stock up on items. After that 90/100 threshold I never hire Mage Pawns, ever. Got warish, perfumes, Ambrosial Meats, etc.

Time consuming and takes up more weight as mentioned. It also switches your pawn's inclination to medicant over time. Just stick to warish.

The difference is that my warrior pawn isn't a tank, its crowd control. Devils nail (the lvl 3 BBI warrior hammer, highest knockdown and stagger warrior weapon) and a barbed nails ring (increases knockdown and stagger) means it can build stagger very fast. Anything saurian sized and lower it can knockdown in two swings, anything larger it builds stagger. Especially in BBI with its hallways a warrior can keep a whole room of enemies from being able to fight back, making it easy to pick them off from range with a bow, magick bow, snipe spells, or casting world enders. Since I play a MA with my warrior pawn I don't need it to do damage, I just need it to keep the small fry busy while ricochet hunter destroys everything. Against big monsters it still builds stagger, and again I'm an MA, I don't really need help taking big enemies down.

Attached: GRIFFITH!.jpg (1280x720, 94K)

I never hired a sorcerer in my life. I find mages to do exactly what i want out of a magic pawn, support me with buffs and heals instead of doing my job for me.

Forgot to mention, you never put a charge skill on a warrior, worst thing you can do to them.

its on the wiki, explains what each one does better than i could

Do you only play fighter because it has an easier time perfect blocking? Also MK is a better vocation hands down, fighter/assassin can't even begin to compete.

Attached: 2016-02-08_00036.jpg (1920x1080, 282K)

After you finally unlock the MERCENARY SLOGS GODDAMN YOU FUCKING CAPCOM WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT THEY'RE JUST PANTS

Please discourage me from trying to minmax in this game. I always get kind of bummed out replaying this game because of it and quit midway through

Attached: 1506027589736.jpg (600x549, 16K)

I don't only play fighter. I like fighter because it's one of the most fun classes in the game. Lots of skills and they are all good, all active skills for varied gameplay (no buff stuff), plenty of hidden tech which is fun, pure class so it doesn't have optimal answer to everything, thematically cool, etc.

Mystic Knight is cool if you want to do magic shit or if you are canon spamming boring fuck. As far as melee goes the only fun aspect is the elemental ripostes, which admittedly are probably one of the most fun mechanics in the game, everything else melee related about them i find pretty boring to be honest.

Both are fun in different ways. Perfect blocks, dragons bite, and sheltered assault are fun on fighter. Using abyssal anguish to turn your mace into a dark magick chainsaw, enchanted perfect blocks, and some melee skills are lots of fun on MK. I never cared for the cannon spam style of MK combat, but to each their own.

If curing OCD and autism was that easy they wouldn't be an issue would they?

Reminder you can ensare drakes, wyverns, and wyrms

Once you get to end game and have some BBI armor and weapons your stats will literally not matter.

Someone from /ddg/ returned my Pawn with a clown suit, and I can't help but wonder what lewd things they made her do. Then I hire Uncle Dante and everything is cool

Attached: DA48.jpg (1280x720, 90K)

>play strider
>have gold dragonforged rusted bow and daggers
>inflicts torpor (slow) on enemies
>use the bow to slow enemies, then start to climb
>slash with rusted daggers a few times to refresh the slow
>get to weak spot, stop attacking, switch to regular daggers
>go HAM and kill it without a chance to fight back

Then make that Comfy Blind LP :)

I miss /ddg/.

I basically can't find good LPs of any game that still interests me nowadays, everyone just plays the same shit on top of most of them wanting to be "personalities".

A little? I mean player made Pawns are typically better than the generic ones you find in the Rift or your world, and sharing Pawns was part of the fun of Dragon's Dogma. You could bring a couple of level 200 Pawns around for free if they were on your friend list, but it also reduces the XP you get for overleveled Pawns. Reverse is also true, XP gains for underleveled Pawns.

Attached: DA120.jpg (1280x720, 130K)

What kind of vocations would you like to see in the next game if there is one anyway anons?

Saw it coming and still laughed.

Only if you actually interact with people and rent specific pawns from them, to then give feedback and so on.
Otherwise it will just be generic pawns anyway or some meme shit like Littler

Now fight something that has wings.

farming BBI items will be much harder without rented pawns

Does the PC version have the cucked audio too or will I actually get to listen to FRYING INTO FREE again? If not, are there mods?

Oh, true.

I've played with /ddg/ pawns so much that I forgot how tough it can be with random ones

I'm tempted to just start a new game considering how easy ng+ is.

That was literally the first ever mod when the PC port came out

I still play with official community and steam pawns. Just the other week someone needed riftbux on PS3 and I happened to be active.

I think both are good and worth of being titles songs

>not just making a Virgin and Chad

C

Now this is actually an interesting idea.

>virgin mage
>the chad fighter/strider/assassin/ranger

thats the best part

Wouldn't warrior make sense for a Chad?

You're right. Chad only needs 3 skills.

Question is would they have the balls to make a sequel to or use Into Free for DD2's title screen? Dark Arisen's theme is amazing but it doesn't have SOUL.

I just started playing this game and I'm having a ton of fun. I found out that I missed a couple of quests which bums me out but I already know I'm gonna be replaying this game a ton due to just how much fun I'm having. Doing magic archer right now, and am finishing up the side quests before progressing in the first mission at the Pawn's Guild. I have two questions though; is the warrior class good at all for my (currently a fighter) pawn? I like her having the extra defense being a fighter gives but it's hard to figure out just how useful a class will be without investing quite a bit into it. And which class has the most /fa/ equipment?

Attached: 20190705180531_1.jpg (1920x1080, 170K)

DD is pretty good in the fashion department all around. You can change classes at any time so just try them out, you can still use augments you unlock even if you don't end up liking it.

in the original script the final battle would take place on the moon with you destroying part of it during the battle. the dark sky and ashes coming down from the sky are the only remnants of that abandoned plot point still in the game.

Maybe employees and shills buy the game with their bonuses.

I changed from hard mode to normal on my first playthrough when I got 1 shotted by a rat in the first cave after 6 hours of gameplay.

No you didn't, unless you spent those 6 hours doing nothing,

Does anyone have the screenshot of the laughing wolves? I lost it ages ago.
