What are you playing?
Switch thread
>Playing Resident Evil 4 on Professional difficulty
>Can't get past a button mashing section where you have to run away from a stone statue
Does it have gyro aiming?
It does not.
Is Smash worth it for single player?
U Deluxe.
It's alright.
Disgaea 5 but I don't like it that much
no
Why not? Care to elaborate?
Absolutely. I've played nothing but single player WoL and Adventures and gotten like 40 hours so far.
I heard switch is the platform for loli now. What loli games are already out?
Is there no way to turn off the inverted aiming in BotW? You can do it for the normal camera controls, but you seemingly can't for bows/throwing weapons/the scope.
>for single player
There is reasonable meat to the single player modes compared to previous titles, but ultimately it's probably not worth it.
t. Bought smash before I remembered I don't have any friends anymore.
My connection isn't good enough for online.
Playing Tales of Vesperia, I was enjoying it but started to burn out in the final arc. I think I'm close to the end, but I just can't be bothered to boot it up. Judy is best girl and deserves more than the near zero development or attention she's been getting.
Tales of Vesperia was such a painful experience, I wanted every party member except for Yuri, Judith, Repede to die slow agonizing deaths.
What should I get with my voucher that's NOT Mario Maker 2?
Loving it so far. More variety in amor, weapons, monsters, and locales than World. Going to try and remove a stripped screw from the side rail with an extractor kit today, wish me luck bros.
Mario maker 2
wasted opportunity
whose getting this
Just checked. It doesn't look like you can separate the two. Turning camera inversion OFF also makes bow aiming non-inverted.
Aynon you are too old for anime now go cum in the sink *highway noises in the background*
Mario maker 2 and XBC 2
what
Out now:
BotW
Mario Odyssey
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Splatoon 2
Smash Bros Ultimate
Out this year:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 if you're into capeshit
Astral Chain
Daemon X Machina
Luigi's Mansion 3
Definitely not Pokémon
It was a vocaroo in a hex trainer thread.
Slay the Spire and Mario Maker 2. Just loaded Devil May Cry and Stranger Things 3: The Game on to my hacked Switch.
Sadly it's shit. 2 tables (wtf were they thinking?) And the 2nd table is fucking trash.
What a shame. If only they even made more tables as DLC. This is coming from a pinball fan. (I also like tits tho)
post vocaroo
well shit. i should have did a bit of research before my preorder went in
I haven't bought a game in months so what are some good recommendations? I only have mario kart 8, ssb, pkmn, just dance
I don’t know how to find the thread.
Mario maker 2 and Marvel illuminati alliance 3 when it comes out next week.
Vita
Basically the same as plus Hollow Knight, Steamworld Dig 2, Slay the Spire and Ys VIII.
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Someone told me to add Dragon Marked for Death to shit tier a little while ago. Is it really that bad?
Replaying Super Mario Odyssey. The level design in this game is fucking amazing. I don't know how they pulled it off, but they did.
>Hyrule Warriors a tier above Fire Emblem Warriors
Based retard.
They're the same game lmao
Started playing Red Faction. Blowing stuff up is really cool and impressive, but the gun combat is just aggravating, even on casual mode. I may come back to it with a god mode cheat, but I really just wish there was no combat and I could just blow stuff up.
Hyrule Warriors has a better roster of Zelda fanservice than FE Warriors has of FE fanservice, therefor making it the better game as Warriors games are only as good as their roster.
Sell me on Mario Odyssey.
I only got like 5 Kingdoms in and I really didn't like the game. It still feels like a massive downgrade from previous 3D Mario collectathons since it feels like they took out so many movement options.
Also, having a thousand fucking moons just makes autism tingle because I want to clear an area as much as possible before moving on, and it doesn't help that most are like "Jump behind this wall" or "Kick this random rock"
is this worth it now mm2 is out?
Really? I felt the opposite. There are no platforming challenges that actually use the movement toolkit Odyssey gives you. I also would have preferred slightly fewer moons, but I understand the game is trying to train you to play attention to the environment. Something normies (and therefore focus groups) really struggle with unless you beat them over the head with it. My guess is that without those superfluous seeming moons, the focus testers got disoriented and upset.
>It still feels like a massive downgrade from previous 3D Mario collectathons since it feels like they took out so many movement options.
What? You have the most movement options in this game since Sunshine. You can do a ton of stuff with hat flinging and mid-air slides. There's less reliance on linearity like in the Galaxy games and you can even get to some worlds early on if you're attentive.
No, and it wasn't worth it before, but honestly if you're so keen on 2D mario you're bothering to ask, maybe you'll like it.
I hope they make an odyssey 2 with proper stars and moons as just a side thing.
also when is 3d world getting ported to switch
>There are no platforming challenges that actually use the movement toolkit Odyssey gives you.
This is blatantly false - especially in the post-game.
Can I get a rundown on these voucher things. I only got a switch last week.
Stop buying literal trash. Shit is fucking barren in content.
Is your local Walmart selling also selling switch games for less or is it just mine? I got MM2 for 50 bucks and CTR for 32.
Walmart are doing 10 bucks off for new games in several states, so yeah
I’m playing BotW and loving it. Would they bring any of the remakes from the wii u/3ds to the switch? I really want to play the older games
>make general on Yea Forums
>complain when mods delete such general
>POWER HUNGRY SNOY MODS REEEEE
fucking hate Yea Forums.
>paying for digital
God, I hate you faggots.
I'm not familiar, but I heard you can get nekopara I guess
I have no idea why I replied to you. Sorry user
Not all the games so false tits.
Also
>supporting Walmart
fuck you
Xenoblade 2
I am almost at the end I think aincebwe are starting to climb the world tree. There's still dozen of side quest that I haven't yet though so I am not sure to move on with the story or try tackling the side stuff.
Grab hacker's memory now or wait for digimon story collection?
Dark Souls with this mod:
nexusmods.com
>digital-only redeemable for 1 game each and purchased in pairs.
>you can only purchase(?and redeem?) tickets if you have an active online sub
>nintedo decides on a shortlist of possible games to redeem for
>technically you can achieve a small discount by buying your games this way, but fuck do you need to work for it
Personally I don't think the discount is worth playing into the psychological trap.
You'll get burned out if you play the games back to back since it literally reuses everything. Hacker's Memory is better but sadly you can only be a PENIS because your DYING WAIFU BULLSHIT.
Oh really? So that's what it was?
I had a bought MM2 for Switch digitally because I had no money with me atm to buy it physically.
But when I eventually checked Walmart to see about something else, they had Mario Maker 2 at launch for $47.99 and ever since I felt stupid
Just beat Sniper Elite V2, currently playing Hollow Knight/ Into the Breach
If you buy a subscription for the online service (20 dollars a year or less if you get with some friends for the family plan, you also get a year free with Amazon/Twitch Prime if you're into that shit), you're eligible to buy eshop vouchers (I think up to 8 or 6) for 100 dollars each. Each voucher allows you to download up to two digital versions of a bunch of first party Nintendo games and a handful third party ones (full list of compatible games is on the vouchers' eshop page).
Basically, if you're gonna buy digital, the vouchers allow you to get two 60 dollars games for 100 dollars, making up the price of online with one voucher and saving you 20 bucks with two.
>Since Sunshine
SM64 is my favorite and the one I've replayed the most, and moving Mario still feels better there. I felt like most of what I was doing in Odyssey was ONLY hat fling to mid-air slide to hat fling and mid-air slide again. I'll admit I love the removal of the on-rails from Galaxy.
There's a difference between "pay attention to the environment" and "examine literally every rock you come across until you find the one with the moon". I'm using the rock as a meme example, but I felt like if I wanted every moon I really did have to examine 100% of the environment, which had me going in circles in the jungle kingdom; that first area where you start in that kingdom is just trees and tall grass so it was annoying going around and thinking "wait, have I been over here yet?".
The Mexico Kingdom was cool, though. I think that's the only level I liked all the way through.
The only way I was able to enjoy Odyssey, once I got to the water level, was to immediately get the required moons without looking hard and leaving. But I didnt keep up with that for long.
There's only one sidequest worth doing, it should be available in Tora's house right now if you've done the heart to heart with Pyra and Tora in Leftheria.
Been playing the Naruto trilogy, Dark Souls and Mario Kart 8.
>SM64 is my favorite and the one I've replayed the most, and moving Mario still feels better there
I dunno how you can say that with SM64's stiff-ass air control and its rather roughshod camera system.
Mario Maker 2 story mode
The camera isn't hard to play around if you go into Mario mode over Lakitu mode, but I'll admit it's annoying as hell. I've never felt the air control was a problem since the platforming was rarely ever hard enough to warrant it.
Too bad unless you use her yourself, shes trash since the AI is clueless. She is also terrible against bosses since or anything with super armor which means most of her combos are useless. On top of that, most bosses bouce out of combos and fall out of the air after maybe 3-4 artes. This means that she can't do OL combos like Yuri or Rita since she cant spam one move to rack up damage.
t.someone who beat the whole game using only Judith when available.
I am playing the first one right now and the collection releases later this year. That should be enough time to start hacker's memory without feeling burned out by the game right? Plus the portability option is really enticing.
Hyrule Warriors is a good goddamn musou.
Playing FF7 right now
Yeah it is,I freakin loved it! Can't wait for P5S to come.
what are the chances of project diva and etrian odyssey coming to switch?
Good shit, MHGU's one of the best. Up for some multiplayer?
neato, thanks.
Not him, but I am. How far along are you?
When is it September so I can play DQ XI S already?
Same, counting down the fucking days here.
Secret of Mana
I'm replaying BotW, this time with the DLC. Hero Mode makes for a more challenging game and you really have to pick your fights.
I'm at HR80ish, done with G rank. I can scale back my gear to wherever you are though, just let me know. My code's 4473-7928-2591, add me and we can get some hunts going. Two more slots as well if anyone else wants to come play.
Just skip to Trials of Mana. Secret sucks.
Anyone here played the Switch version of TWEWY? How is it?
Almost done with G-Rank, sent you a friend request
Start a room and I'll join you. Set a pass but exclude friends, should be easiest.
Made it as Yea Forums, passcode 8888
SRW T
Astral chain next month
how do you connect switch to the internet? wifi?
can you connect wired with a standard ethernet plug?
Siralim 3, DWM bros check it out
Wifi, but you can get an adapter for ethernet
what kind of adapter? what socket does the switch have?
Are you saying your router doesn't have WIFI?
no I just don't want to play on a shitty wireless connection
>what socket does the switch have
usb
USB to Ethernet
Works plug n play style
Just go on amazon or to a Best Buy
Most generic ones will one pretty much instantly
You’ll know it’s working when the icon changes from WiFi signal into a cord
Multiplayer on the Switch is a lagfest regardless of connection, so don't expect it to be anything but, even with a wired connection.
when multiplayer is a lagfest it's BECAUSE of wireless faggots too lazy to connect wired. don't be part of the problem
Should I play the Collection version or be patient until the remake comes out?
We can pretend that's the problem.
God bless Nintendo, am I right?
Different games so it’s entirely up to you and your budget
Playing Hellblade right now and desu I feel like it's worth it.
>only $35 (bought it when it had the same price on Steam)
>comparable performance to DS and Dragon's Dogma, both popular ports on Switch
>game looks good when you compare it to both of those (looks like a last-gen title in exchange for portability)
Something to consider if you're looking for more DS-esque games.
My advice would be to try out the three games on emulators. There's even an SNES ROM with the official Trials of Mana localization out on the net now. We have no guarantee that the remake is gonna be good, but the original Trials of Mana is definitely an SNES classic.
I haven’t played much of FE Warriors but Hyrule Warriors has Adventure mode which is great
I got to be honest but the switch is a really good surprise, i thought this was just and underpower console with no games ut god damn how wrong i was. This little shit is actually fantastic, the size is perfect and the library finaly looks like something interesting.
I thought people who loved it were idioys but tuns out i was. Bless you switchbros and have fun
