What genres do you play? Here are some hidden gems or underrated titles that I've discovered over the past year.
>Racing:
Redout. Pretty much the best anti-grav racing there is, saying this as a long-time fan of Wipeout and F-Zero.
>Traditional RPGs:
Pathfinder Kingmaker. There is even a turn-based mode if you are allergic to real-time with pause.
Neverwinter Nights: Buy it for the user-created modules, of which there are thousands (and around a couple of dozens are of higher quality than many so-called RPGs, e.g. Swordflight or Aielund Saga).
Outward: if you like survival-oriented RPGs.
ELEX: if you like Piranha Bytes games like Gothic.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: FF13 has been continously bashed everywhere, but the sequels are excellent gameplay-wise, many party-building and/or skill selection options.
>Sandboxes:
Empyrion: it's less sophisticated than Space Engineers but has superior single-player focus (factions, NPCs, exploration, etc.)
Slime Rancher: collect slimes and sell their shit, very comfy.
>There is even a turn-based mode
I meant "turn-based mode" fan-created mod on nexusmods.
You can buy me some games with that $22 and I'll trade you them for Alien Isolation.
>Can get a key for about $5.
