Did. It's really good in almost all aspects, but sometimes I wish the mini-games would fuck off
Did. I liked the dungeon designs and the way the character dialogue played out naturally as you advanced. Also, Ardyn is a great villain.
Other than that, it's overall kind of meh. The open world aspects are poorly realized, the combat is not great, and several plot points lose their impact if you don't also read/watch a few different supplementary works.

You know, I loved this as a kid and tried playing it recently. Dropped in 30 minutes due to random encounter rate. I think random encounters are quite possibly the worst mechanic ever made in RPGs.

Due to the way that BoF3 makes encounters happen on the same map as movement, there's an interesting exploit where walking right next to walls greatly reduces the odds of an encounter.
The game can't figure out how to arrange your party on the screen because it want's to place one of your party members inside the wall, so you just don't get the encounter.
