Yes, very much so.
I want to make babies with Saori
Ask me again after it's ported to PC
Waiting for a price drop. I don't buy Yakuza rehashes at full price.
I don't buy video games over $20
How do you trade in Mafuyu? She can't even compete with Saori.
Yagami refuses to do it. You can even tell Saori she's the best girl and he says he's just joking. I don't get it. At least we can root for Hoshino now for making the smart choice.
WE ARE GOING UP AND DOWN YOU KNOW
Best girl
How do people feel about the dub?
like I give a fuck about what you think
Turned it on for my second playthrough. It's much better than I expected.
Yes
So far the game hasn't hinted at a Tower exploding for the 7th time.
The story is actually intriguing instead buff man gets double crossed and attempt to retain his honor.
Only Issue I have is a few of the Friendship quests are locked behind some fucking Gambling bullshit and to get most of the cheat items for gambling you have to gamble in other places.
Who here saw the identity of the final boss miles away?
>Only need one more Ron or Tsumo to finish up Tachibana Mahjong.
>See I'm in wareme so it's a bit more tense.
>Also see my hand has like seven or eight tiles in the making to a Thirteen Orphans.
>Think "What the hell, why not" and go for it.
>It actually works.
My heart was racing as soon as I riichi'd.
I dismissed it because he didn't really have much of a reason to do things outside of working within the government. Even until the reveal I was still hesitant to think it was him because outside of some corruption why would he murder a bunch of people? Once you get to the ADDC I get it, he believed in AD-9 and was so deep into it that he believed he was a hero who wouldn't be looked down upon for what he did, but I just didn't see it coming compared to Hoshino who was throwing up constant red flags everywhere.
>patch out the save anywhere tweak in Y0 because people kept breaking their games saving mid fight
Thanks a lot retards.
>final dude in the original opening movie from the demo
>gee, who could the mole and final boss be?
So should I buy this or wait for Yakuza 3?
(both is not an option)
this
Yakuza 3 sucks.
This is out right now and is pretty lengthy and is completely divorced from the Yakuza series in terms of story. There's name drops of the Tojo Clan but you never see Daigo or anything, there's only a handful of small references and you have to know what you're even looking at in the first place to get them, and so on. You've already played K2 I'm assuming so you know what to expect in how the gameplay handles, and either way you're going to have to get used to 3 anyway so why not?
We don't even know when the HD remasters are coming out here and the only chance we have at this point is either the 10th (Which is very unlikely since it's Shin news) or at TGS (Which is far more likely).
It was pretty good. First half or so was a bit slow as usual with these games and picked up in the second half. I wish there were more plot/character connections to the main yakuza series though. Even just an easter egg of some random character showing up at the funeral would have been nice.
>(both is not an option)
Why not?
wait for this one to drop to 30 bucks in 5-6 months like all the other games did.
They said they didn't want to add Yakuza characters because they wanted to have the game and the characters stand on their own. We're supposedly getting them in the next game and considering its reception in Japan that's probably likely. I'd expect Date and Tanimura more than anyone at this point. Maybe Daigo if the Tojo Clan is back to running Kamurocho at the end of Shin.
best RGG game with Kiwami 2 so far
id have a hard time pick which one is better
>that moment when scrotum totem
how did that get past snoy? Is it because it's full on man ass so it's ok, but anime tiddies are bad?
Judgement by a fucking mile.
>Park clone
Japan sure does have a boner for badges.
For the longest time, I honestly thought Hoshino was the Mole. He seemed too timid like it was an act, did a subtle drop off being a black belt, and he led of the pivotal scenes where the whole gang compiled all their info.
Don't forget he also said he was fine with being a "professional sidekick" and as soon as Shintani got killed he started pushing his way into Yagami's investigation heavily. His bio also says he only joined the Genda Lawfirm shortly after Yagami left.
There was so much pointing to it being him.
I don't even recommend 3 to my worst enemy.
Every bit of Judgment I've played so far just makes me wish we had the PS4 ports of 3-5 already. I'm even looking forward to replaying 3.
why
I just want the fucking disc of 5 in english but the more time it passes the more i lose up on a physical release.
Yes but I haven't beaten it yet.
Does anyone know how you unlock higher rates for gambling in Judgment? Is it like in the older games where winning X amount of games does it or is it tied to story progression? Because 30k in Poker at 10 a hand would take days.
Rikiya, Okinawa, revelations, etc. I like 3.
>I like 3
yikes
Fly is a godly final boss theme
game still sucks
>OMG 3 IS THE WORST GAME IN THE SERIES
BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DO THE BORING HOSTESS SHIT AND MAHJONG
Based bandwagon poster. Could you post "rubber bullets" or the "another yakuza game" pasta next, I love flowchart criticism.
>this passive-aggressive post
cringe
>Put trip on and act like an authority on the series
>HOLY SHIT GUYS HOW DO YOU DO THIS?
The absolute state of tripfags.
here we go
gotta love every game in the series now, even the ones nobody likes
Just carrying larger amounts of chips. Like tens of thousands. Also it’s locked behind story progression. When you tail the woman from the bar after trying to guess her occupation is when I noticed higher rates.
it's the worst because it's shitty filler, and kiryu cries like a literal fucking woman in it
Just like my yak simulator games
youtu.be
Kinda related, picked up FotNS game because of sale, anything I should know or any missable shit?
He cries in 5 and 6 and 0 too.
>You're not allowed to like it because no one else likes it
Herd mentality at its finest.
not like a bitch as he does in 3
Don't start with that "you can't criticize Yakuza anymore" bullshit. It's not like I was telling someone they were wrong for not liking 3. People that lose their minds any time 3 comes up or endlessly spam "YUME" or "RUBBER BULLETS" are just as bad as the people that are unwilling to admit any of the flaws in the series, if not worse.
>you're not allowed to dislike it because I like it
based backpedalling retard
I hate those clue hunting segments.
Man, that's like five or six chapters from where I'm at now. Alright then, thanks, I couldn't find anything on JP guides besides them saying there are higher rates and outside of the Ryugujo I didn't see another casino.
No missables but you can't 100% it until a second playthrough and postgame so keep that in mind if that's your plan. Endless Eden has the final substory in the game near Xsana's palace while playthrough 2 is the only way you can get the required yellow orbs for the ones you missed because they're locked to story moments..
I put it on because I want to, there's nothing more to it. It's an idiotic thing to have on but at the same time I just like it there. I don't know anything, especially not about a newly released game, but if I can help someone I want to and if I don't know about anything I'll ask.
I hate that there's a trophy for finding all of the cats. It was amusing at first but got old basically as soon as I realized that every forced first person segment was gonna have a cat to find.
Is it possible to enjoy this game having never played any Yakuza game?
It's not backpedalling at all. He only weeps on thosr games. He fucking goes full bitch in 3 like a literal fucking woman over Snake Eyes. It's not even comparable.
Yes, but you should play Dead Souls first.
yes
Yes. It's not tied to any Yakuza games and is its own standalone thing. There's minor references if you know what you're looking for but they don't affect your enjoyment of anything.
show me another game where he cries as hard and long as in 3
I'll wait.
>tfw just started playing 6
Jesus Christ, and people say that 3 is frontloaded with cutscenes.
rike it? I simpury ruv it!
>fanbase so distraught they're defending 3 & 6 now
>I put it on because I want to, there's nothing more to it. It's an idiotic thing to have on but at the same time I just like it there.
6 was super cutscene heavy in general.
It eases up once you finally get to start wandering around. There's a decently long scene when Kiryu goes to meet Someya for the first time and then once the game gets back to the point it was in Onomichi, but besides that it's mostly endgame stuff and the final cutscenes but that's par for the course.
actual toxic masculinity coming from people who have had no emotional connection beyond their mother for years.
Wow that's an epic criticism you just posted
not an argument
Finished it last night. The entire last chapter was such a wild fucking ride.
>crying over a young man close to you dying=bad Yakuza 3 worst game in the series muh filler
There is nothing wrong with 3 gameplay wise compared to any other entry in the series (especially 5) and most people who hate 3 are just bandwagoning. 4 and 5 had far stupider stories.
How is "Yakuza 3 is bad because I think the main character cries like a girl" an argument?
Remember when they fucked up and released the entirety of Yakuza 6 for free on PSN instead of just the demo? Good times.
unironically cry harder
how isn't it?
no criticism allowed
>v/ provides quality analysis and has perfect taste in video games
When have Yea Forums ever been right or worth listening to? You would be completely retarded to follow anyone's advice on anything here.
Why are you even here?
>Smug anime poster has a sit opinion
Why am I not surprised?
This is a Judgement thread, not a Yakuza thread.
Does anyone here have any actual arguments as to how 3 is the worst game in the series from a gameplay perspective?
>The entire Kuroiwa fight including the part where he starts phase 2.
>That bit where Shono is losing his mind to show Yagami AD-9 works.
>Cut to Hamura speaking about why AD-9 will never work.
>Cut back to Shono injecting himself and dying.
>Kuroiwa laughs to himself as they both die.
>Then cut to Hamura explaining during the trial why everyone lost their eyes as they reveal Shono's face.
It was wild. The only thing I didn't get was did Kuroiwa realize he ended up killing all those people for nothing when Shono injected himself? Or was it because he was just happy to see the effects of it?
>heard good shit about yakuza for years
>cutscene heavy but stylish combat
>finally get yakuza 0 on pc
>give up after 13 hours
Fuck me what a movie that was.
So a Yakuza thread?
The combat is very clunky, and they focus too much on the shitty kids/orphanage.
No.
spoil me. when is the game set in yakuza series time line?
After 6. Little Asia is still under construction after Yuta set it on fire.
just after 6 and just before Shin
not really a spoiler, but whatever
>cutscene heavy game was cutscene heavy
you don't fucking say
They made all the boss heat actions generic. But 3 is a gigantic step up over 2 because Kenzan never came out in English
too much time wasted on kids
bosses block far too much
clunky as all fuck
Oh fucking yeah I forgot about that. Literally every single endgame boss and miniboss just stands there blocking forcing you to just Tiger Drop spam them.
>that one drone bit where you can see Akiyama napping
nice
Was super surprised
Its chock full of the same VAs you hear in anime dubs for years but here they can fucking act
And they even have honorifics
Was it all the stupid anime mouthflaps this whole time?
>losing the dance battle to entertainment king so it takes another extra hour to get buildings to S rank
I started the final mission at that point and never got to see the Dragon style
worst system in gaming, honestly
>losing
Only yourself to blame.
mad cuz bad
it's the worst minigame ever made. I might hate batting and darts and billboard but at least I can win at them (never tried batting because it's never mandatory)
Dancing is just horrible
>buying the same game again and again
>doing the same quests again and again
>doing the same minigames again and again
>pretending to enjoy the same gameplay again and again
>just because it has a new Japanese gangster storyline
...that last point alone almost made me think twice, because that is a big selling point, but really guys? Have some pride. They're playing you.
mad
cuz
bad
I don't know it isn't out yet. I'm not interested in playing the unfinished 25fps version of a 60fps brawler.
troll smarter, not harder
I like that it gets better as it goes on.
I'm really enjoying it.
My only issue is the tailing minigame and that Yagami is too perfect
I reeeaaaaally like the combat.
Crowd control style isn't stupid OP like I was afraid it would be. Enemies are nice and aggressive too.
Refute a single point I made. Not even trolling, and you can see that by my concession in the last line.
>Yagami is too perfect
He's astute and can deduce things from discussions well, sure, but he's far from perfect. Dude's a mental wreck thanks to the Okubo case, he doesn't know when to shut up to keep the peace and would rather go out dying on an insult than not say the insult (Seriously, look at how often he taunts Hamura and Murase when his life is on the line), he only got out of two or three situations alive because Sugiura came in kicking, and he's obsessed to an insane degree. What do you think makes him too perfect? The only thing I can think of is how he pieces things together so well but that's just simply him paying attention to what people say.
>mortal wound from a wooden sword
I like it but I hate the tailing missions and they way you gather extract ingredients. It’s just boring.
>Doubting the power of a wooden sword.
holy shit a protagonist with a personality
are yakuza 3-5 for ps4 ever going to make it for western release?
also amane best girl fight me
He just lost his mind and saw how it was all pointless.
>japshit
*yawn*
You can? Shit, haven't seen it at all. If it's not bait and lie, of course.
Honestly I love the dragon engine so much
People that hate it probably just have a bad taste from Yakuza 6
It feels so smooth at 120+ fps and the particle effects and combat are so fluid it's a joy to play the coliseum in K2
eventually they will
why would someone lie on the internet
He became lawyer without going to school and manage to win his very first case even though it's extremely rare based on the game. His failure then is a huge plot point which justify his presence in the story, and makes him choose a career of PI.
During the rest of the game he's shown as being pretty good at tailing (I guess), fighting, and solving cases without much difficulty.
What you described for me is just him being cocky and at no point (except maybe at the end, I'm at chapter 11) he's getting penalized for it.
He doesn't seem to be struggling with anything except the Okubo case which once again is also here to justify his presence and I'm sure will be solved by the end of the game.
>He became lawyer without going to school
He was taught by his father, who was a lawyer also. Also, he went to lawyer school.
>manage to win his very first case even though it's extremely rare based on the game
He fucked up his cases before that, listen to dialogue in chapter 5.
>pretty good in fighting
The implication here is that he wasn't before. Kaito says as much, it's the player. Also, he gets his ass kicked all the time.
>What you described for me is just him being cocky and at no point (except maybe at the end, I'm at chapter 11) he's getting penalized for it.
Did you just skip chapter 2, where shit almost ended for him because he loves to brag?
>without going to school
But he did go to school. In chapter 2 they even say he attended night classes just to do it to prove everyone wrong because he was so stubborn. There's even a picture of him with Genda and Matsugane with his graduation certificate. His father was also a major lawyer which was his inspiration.
>and manage to win his very first case
But he lost a majority of his cases, he literally says this to Emi. When he went into criminal defense he only won the Okubo completely out of persistence, even the people he worked with like Genda and Shintani were ready to get a reduced sentence for Okubo instead of freedom because they themselves believed he had done it and didn't take into account the outside view of the room not showing the face of the person inside. Yagami basically went above and beyond for Okubo and that's the only reason why he won. Even Yagami's argument is basically conspiracy.
>fighting
He was trained by his dad in karate and then developed his own style for the next twenty something years by fighting people on the streets and because of being in the Matsugane family. He also loses tons of times, again, there's several points in the story where he literally picks a fight he can't win and only gets out alive because Sugiura runs in and kicks someone giving him an opening. Even Kaito says he lost against him when he was younger which is how he joined the Matsugane family in the first place.
>and at no point (except maybe at the end, I'm at chapter 11) he's getting penalized for it.
Chapter 2 is literally him talking shit to Hamura, going behind his back, and then nearly dying before Sugiura kicks someone. He does this again later on as well. He gets kicked out of the ADDC multiple times because of his brashness and alerts Shono or Kido he's there. He also fails at keeping Kido once they capture him.
Yagami fails a lot in the game.
Still waiting for the Pre-order to arrive. I've only played Yakuza 0 and loved it, have put off playing Ykuza kiwami 1 and 2 because I know there'll be a massive 3 game gap i have to skip to play 6
Yagami fucks.
Kiryu just sucks.
Judgement is a decent leap, as it again is completely different.
>Yagami was taught fighting by his father
This doesn’t make sense to me. This implies that his father was skillful at fighting and yet he was killed by a random guy
You're right about the studies, I was mostly thinking of a recent dialogue saying he became a lawyer by himself, but it must have been without supports from Matsugane or anybody.
Same for the trial, don't know why I thought it was his first one.
However when did he lose a fight when he wasn't held at gunpoint? Maybe against Kaito before the game started. However at several points he got in the middle of a Matsugane or Kyorei location and managed to beat all of them. It's a Yakuza game and it's similar to an Akiyama situation but don't tell me he's weak.
And
>where shit almost ended for him
>and then nearly dying
Yes, almost and nearly, but someone was here to save him every time.
not everyone can be kiryu and/or majima
maybe Yagammy is just better than daddy
He was killed by a normal dude with a knife, not some thugs or yakuza.
From what I understood of the situation the father of the guy he got off stabbed him before he could react and then proceeded to stab him and Yagami's mother before hanging himself.
>Yes, almost and nearly, but someone was here to save him every time.
The fact still remains on his own he would have ended up dead without some serendipity occurring. I'm not denying they're inconsistent with his power level though, there's multiple times where he's shown to take down hordes of people on his own but then at other times he can barely take on five guys. Hell, even when Murase came at him near Kyushu No. 1 Ramen he was panicking about having to fight roughly eight or nine people before Kaito came along.
Weebs have no standards
It's nice not to play as criminal scum or criminal scum sympathisers for once.
didn't have kiryu's plot armor
Turns out it actually unlocks in chapter 3, I just ran over to L'amant after getting out of Charles and the high rates are unlocked at both blackjack and poker. I think you need at least 1000 chips before they unlock though.
how different is this from Yakuza?
It's basically Yakuza Noire, if that makes sense.
It's got a subsidiary of the Tojo Clan in it but it doesn't revolve around it, just a person or two from the subsidiary. Most of the story is about a cold case and the many inconsistencies around it.
The main character is a detective and so his substories are all cases he takes on and is paid for. Only a few side cases are found just wandering the streets.
There's some new gameplay mechanics like lockpicking, tailing, they reworked the chase mechanic, disguising yourself, presenting evidence, and finding evidence to solve cases.
It's still a Yakuza game at the end of the day but it leans more towards a more civilian detective aspect rather than a yakuza aspect and heavily leans on the detective side of things.
>Bar Tender
How do I shogi? Moonrunes all look the same to me.
>Riichi on a Yakuman
Breh you dun goofed, but still nice Rising sun
i literally did not get that. i am a brainlet aint i :(
Download some computer-shogi program like Shogidokuro, replicate the opponent's moves in it then copy the moves.
Shogi requirements are often lax because even RGG studio knows it's bullshit for you to master it as a minigame.
They added letters to them to fix that problem. Either learn what the different things do (Spears work like rooks but can only go forward until they promote just as a quick example) or use Shogidokoro and pit the AI against the AI. You need to win several matches for the 100% so if you're horrible at chess you might want to do that because this is just chess on hard mode and even going against low level AI it still takes master class tier AI 60-90 turns to beat tier 10 guys.
You can easily find a guide for the challenges and puzzle challenges if you just Google them.
youtube.com
Here's for challenge 1, the guy has up to challenge 8 on his channel and I haven't bothered to look for 9 or 10 myself but they're not needed.
I didn't know you only get points for said Yakuman, it's literally my first time ever getting one, I've never used the Peerless Tile in these games so I didn't know how it works.
yes
>Shogi requirements are often lax because even RGG studio knows it's bullshit for you to master it as a minigame.
Judgment bucks that trend a bit, you have to beat someone in shogi twice while going second and no one does that in the challenge videos that I could find meaning actually playing a game and resetting until you go second. You can still use Shogidokoro to do it though.
>mfw Kamurocho Hills
The mahjong minigames are such bullshit. Does the AI cheat? They seem to be able declare riichi at early game consistently
MASHU?
You will inevitably start to feel bored. You will walk from pointless conversation to pointless conversation. You will read and read and read while character models stare at each other lifelessly. You will do the same unchallenging fights hundreds of times over where enemies pose no threat. You will stare at cutscenes that play out in the slowest way possible. You'll tell yourself the story has gripped you while trying to ignore how badly written it is.
You will wonder why Yea Forums and various ecelebs hyped up this series, and begin telling yourself that YOU must be wrong, not them. You'll tell yourself it's good just to feel a part of something.
That's what you're in for.
Just buy it
how are the detective mechanics? do you have to figure out stuff yourself by using deductive reasoning?
In Lullaby and Modern the Medium and Hard tables respectively do not seem to cheat, they just know how to discard well and troll you with 1 han hands constantly. The Easy and Medium tables do seem to cheat though, they double riichi constantly and you'll always see a riichi within six turns almost all the time. In the Tachibana ones the difficulties are how they should be, easy play like idiots and hard cheats. You'll also notice you get better hands on the easier tables in Tachibana (I was consistently getting three colors and identical sequences without even trying) but on the harder ones you're basically bleeding a stone dry trying to get a hand going at all as everyone around you riichis.
In non-Dragon Engine games yeah, they seem to cheat no matter what. Riichis within a couple turns are very common and I'm convinced hand reading is a thing. When you go for the ranking missions it also gets way more apparent they're cheating the higher up the ladder you go.
lads...
>However when did he lose a fight when he wasn't held at gunpoint?
To Kaito, in the past. Kaito still says that he can kick Yagami's ass.
Also, in chapter 2 hegot his ass kicked because he was cocky, not because he was held at gunpoint. That's his main flaw - Yagami sometimes is "I'm awesome" and "I know stuff", while he isn't really. He isn't dragon god like Kiryu, he actually gets hurt from guns, which is a nice way to tie story and gameplay.
There is a book that auto-wins games for you, you can buy it from homeless guy.
You have to look around for stuff when it comes to you investigating, there's a few points (Not many) during the main story where there's no objective where to go and you have to figure it out based on what you were told or what you can read in the case files menu, and when it comes to presenting evidence you can piss a guy off but it can't fail the investigation or anything. Guessing correctly gets you more EXP or lets you bypass fights in certain instances but not many. No idea what happens in the final chapter if you present the wrong evidence though.
based. yakuza is an absolute streamer series. watching that game is way more enjoyable than playing it. and even watching it isnt essential by any means
This is a PS4 game?
I want to kiss her collarbone..
>chaining your wallet or whatever to your pants
Oh lawd. Is that shit making a comeback or is he living in the past?
Yes but you might not like Yakuza games so you're taking a risk.
Just keep in mind that Yakuza will in no way challenge you to master its systems and there is 0 depth to the combat, you'll enjoy it if you like chilling out and strolling around Japan.
Japan's fashion is all over the place..
>0fags
I think Cokeman's new face is better.
True. Then you'll start autistically visit every single Yakuza thread just to leave LITERALLY the same autistic badly composed message of half-truths just to lazily bait out a few replies calling you a retard. You'll keep telling yourself how everyone replying is just mad and how you totally don't care about Yakuza just to over and over succumb to the same loop you've been addicted to for the past few months.
You're an insect and no one will ever care about you in your pathetic insect life.
nice try, but your ebin trole makes absolutely no sense
KH has never looked as done up as it does in Judgement.
Just ignore/report the autist. Mods should know by now it's the same old spam.
My apologies kyodai, I mistook you for someone who didn't know of its existence outside of this game.
>half-truths
lol
How shit does someone's life have to be to have the time to be in every single Yakuza thread on Yea Forums?
see
Insects' lives tend to be pretty shitty
This. There is no challenge whatsoever. Combat is brainless and you're mostly just reading conversations or walking to more conversations.
Hide/report haters who are only here to criticize the yakuza games. Post webms to show what these faggots are trying to convince people is shit. Run the haters back to resetera.
>haters already flocking
lol BTFO
This game gave me hope for Shin.
When did they say they were giving us news?
Do you think they'll put Judgment on PC before the remasters and 6?
Would have been better if that ash tray punch didn't happen like three times in a row. It kinda cheapened the experience.
Same. I was really worried Judgment was going to change up the formula too much. Seeing that it's the same as the other games is a big relief. Shin will probably be the same too.
For the much love Zero gets, it has probably the worst gauntlets in the series, especially compared to something so close to it's like Ishin.
This. Also good to know that the falseflagging monkey is as mad as usual.
Your life's already pretty shitty but with all the praise Judge Eyes is getting you must be fucking fuming my man
I hope mods start picking up on his bullshit like
wait are you seriously saying this post should be a bannable offence?
What bullshit? I assume you didn't mean to link to my post.
July 10th
yes
passive-aggressive / sarcastic shitposting should be a bannable offense
>passive-aggressive / sarcastic shitposting should be a bannable offense
Jesus christ user. Even if that post is being sarcastic (I don't think it is) you really need to cool the autism.
What a fucking dogshit board. I'm actually done with this place now.
fucking dumbass
Is this some new form of meta shitposting? I said I liked Judgment and I'm looking forward to Shin. In a Yakuza thread. And now you're calling for the mods? You should be the one banned. Stay on topic or fuck off with your derailment.
too hard to say
it's possible tho
This is what I do to resetera zoomers who say the combat in yakuza games could be improved
You don't even have an umbrella, user.
No, it's bad for entire different reasons.
2 major chain of substories are missing, the start is extremely slow, boring and annoying, even for the fans, imagine people with extremely short attention span, the story is extremely fucking stupid even for Yakuza standards, and i love it for this, lmao american twin brother.
and the kill of a character that actually might had been a good for the series.
and they didn't even fix that in the remaster so enjoy to your hearts content
>put game in PS4
>takes like 30 minutes to copy game to the hard-drive for some reason
>error at the end, can't start game
>take disc out and put it in again
>starts installation process all over again
Off to a good start.
Not for at least a year
your PS4 is kill
Is there a better way to cash in casino chips other than buying and selling paint?
Kimutaku is way popular and overrated. He’s even in fucking Black Clover.
HEY YOU
does she get to date the mc?
>fight sum goons
>they're Japanese
>you're Jap-American
they ported 3 yakuzas in 10 months
i wouldn't say a judgement port late this year is far fetched, but it could be fotns instead
but fotns was shit
when even yakuza fans think something is too tedious, you know you fucked up
>we'll be able to decorate Ichiban's apartment with nothing but UFO Catcher shit
only thing tedious was the driving
go shitpost somewhere else faggot
passive-aggressive / sarcastic shitposting should be a bannable offense
Is this the current Yakuza thread? Anyway,
>working on the climax battles
>making some progress
>hit a wall with another stupid RNG battle (Majima on drugs)
>get mad and alt-f4
>the game didn't save any of the progress I made this day
Fuck. Well, at least I've already dealt with the second worst one so far - strong Majima in the sewers. But, man, that sucked. Well, at least now I know better.
>shitposter's posts being deleted
Thank you mods. Haters BTFO once again. Celebrating with more based yakuza gameplay webms.
oh man the movement is so much better
I'm gonna make him so cute.
Ishin's gauntlets were god-tier.
>tfw I prefer English Yagami
You're a fucking idiot..
Agreed. The boss fights were the absolute best.
she's plain, but really cute
I think it's the hair and glasses
>get mad and alt-f4
It's not like a threw my controller or anything. I had other stuff to do and cool down instead of banging my head against that wall. But I expected it to autosave whenever I finish a challenge, not only when I quit to the main menu.
Give me one good reason why passive-aggressive or sarcastic posts should not be a bannable offence
Fuck off.
that's sick
same actually
why the fuck did they have to lock the cheat items for card games behind mahjong?
cheating is bad
There are cheat items in these games?
you can buy some from the guy in the sewers but those are for the dice games and i think koi koi
yeah in some of them.
>passive-aggressive / sarcastic shitposting should be a bannable offense
Fuck off.
Stay on topic, or YOU fuck off.
>can't even give me one reason
Yeah I didn't think so
I thought it was just me...
has anyone e er gotten arrested for fighting
I came close a few times
it's direction every time
watch any anime with honorifics in the dub and then watch FLCL's dub and you'll see the difference immediately. You have to really carefully direct the actors to make the honorific sound natural otherwise they'll sometimes say the honorific entirely wrong
>autistic samefagging fuck is now ban-evading
great
youtube.com
thoughts on this?
bretty gud
looks fucking good
who?
Need this so hard desu
Should I play this or Kiwami 2 first?
>"Yagami isn't as durable as Kiryu"
K2 first because it's clunkier.
i expected him to die when i accidentally fell off the building
I honestly hope everyone involved with kenzan and ishin translation projects gets the plague and dies slowly in agony
Ignore him. He thinks every post he doesn't like is by one person.
>wooden planks can't break bones
Same, but then I remembered I was playing Yakuza where it's almost impossible to lose
Sure a strange mentality. It's Yea Forums, of course some people will have different opinions. I don't know why some people think everyone here has the same opinion as them and get upset when it turns out they don't.
rude
someone definitely likes posting the same yakuza pasta at least
that's the way it is now. if you think 3 wasn't great or that 6 had any flaws then you don't belong here and should be banned.
kek
Where? As long as it's on topic and not full of lies then it probably doesn't matter if something gets posted more than once.
it's him you dense retard..
this
...
Nothing really wrong with that post. I think it's a good idea the keep new players expectations low and not promise them the greatest game series ever. Some idiots talk as if the games are flawless and action packed and CUHRAYZEE and then people feel burned when they end up with a VN with pretty lackluster combat. I love the games but come on, they're not perfect.
This
??
Why? What's going on?
Mahjong is actually easy. The rules may seem daunting but it’s pretty simple. Just don’t call chii/pon and aim for tanyao if you’re a beginner
You actually need to earn them at the Tachibana Mahjong place and the lady requires specific hands. You first need to fully befriend her (Talk to her and then win while in wareme) and then she'll start giving you stuff. I got needing a pinfu and then the next request was a hand of all triplets, and then the final request I got before being done with all the requirements was get a half flush. A pinfu's pretty easy for most players but all triplets and a half flush might be a bit annoying considering how everyone complains about getting full straights.
you don't deserve to enjoy entertainment if you won't even learn the language it was meant to be enjoyed in
translators are cancer and enables secondary white fucking shits like all western 0babies and moose
imagine spending 2000 hours 100%ing all these games and playing ishin with a barebones walkthrough scrolling through text you can't understand because you're a literal fucking trash human being you could have LEARNED japanese in the time you spent playing these games by playing these games if you so wish but you're too much of a retard for it
everyone in this thread that doesn't know japanese should go slit their wrists
look at these fucking redditors saying "PERFECT LOCALIZATION THE CHARACTERS ARE LIKE REAL HUMAN BEINGS" because they talk like americans
GUESS HWAT IT'S A JAPANESE GAME AND THE CHARACTERS ARE JAPANESE AND DON'T TALK OR THINK LIKE AMERICANS YOU'RE A FUCKINF RETARD DIE DIE DIE DIE YOU DON'T DESRVE TO PLAY THESE GAMES
but you posted a 0babby picture, shitposter
I like Sotenbori better than Kamurocho.
There's a good point in here but it's buried under too much autism.
There is no good point.
SOON
fucking nice
dude this moose guy 100%ed ishin with a very basic walkthrough cheat sheet without understanding a word on the screen. he has the determination to do that but not learn a language.
that's actually impressively more autistic and pathetic than any rant i could ever write and that's saying something
Language knowledge isn't binary.
who fucking cares
that's nowhere near as difficult as learning a fucking language you autistic retard
it's not about difficulty it's about what's the FUCKING point of 100%ing a game you can't and won't understand. that's a big fucking red flag
literal babies and disabled people can learn languages, why can't you? I can tell you're american
sweet now it'll be even easier to win fights against enemies that don't attack you
get a fucking life
Americans think learning a second language is the most insurmountable task in the universe. It's a mountain they can't even imagine trying to climb. And that's after you've managed to convince them that it's not "pointless"
I don't understand your autism.
i love the people that come to threads and the only thing they post is something along the lines of "get a fucking life" or "no one fucking cares"
Post about Yakuza or fuck off
All right dude
listen to your own advice, sperg
The irony is they think they're improving the threads and don't realise THEY'RE the cancer
We used to have comfy threads because they weren't full of people chimping out at every single post they disagreed with. They're not even making counterpoints, just shitting their diapers.
>it's about what's the FUCKING point of 100%ing a game you can't and won't understand.
Because, get this, it's fun. I know, crazy, right? Who could have imagined video games are enjoyable. I guess I must have imagined the fun I had with the Ouendan, Taiko, and Jump games because they're in Japanese too. Or maybe the fun I had with all those Kamen Rider Battride War games was fake too.
Why do you even care about this whatsoever? How in the world does this affect your life in any meaningful way to the point that you're losing sleep over it?
In what post did I not talk about Yakuza? Fuck off with your derailment. You're literally not discussing anything.
judgment is so much better than 6 it's insane
So how do you feel about Ryoma's own voice actor saying Ishin should definitely be released overseas
I love that animation.
neither are you, retard.
based
saved to ease the pain
>company wants money even if it's in an unethical way (like translating for peasants)
Kuroda probably gets royalties for it, of course he wants as many people as possible to buy the game and i'm not saying that's wrong i'm just saying your point is stupid because he wants Ishin in the west for money, not because he wants "people" to "enjoy" it in e*glish
yeah it's much more fluid
there's nothing wrong with 6
Why is every Yakuza game set is a completely new location? I'd like to see Kamurocho again
HOW EMBARRASSING.
k
even fans of 6 will tell you that's wrong
How is it in terms of minigames, substories and shit? Do i get to manage cabaret waifus again? Loved that shit.
based and hard truthpilled
>Minigames
The new minigames are quite fun, Kamuro of the Dead in particular even if it's an easier House of the Dead (Though it makes sense considering no light gun, I suppose they could have used gyro). Personally I feel like there should have been one or two more big ones but there's still a decent amount.
>Substories
The friendships around town are a mix of just buying stuff and that's it or finding someone and then talking to them repeatedly over time, but the more involved ones are either decently funny or enjoyable.
The Side Cases are mostly interesting and do have a bunch of funny bits in them but I haven't done too many so far so I can't comment on the entirety of them.
>Cabaret waifus
Nope, you can date a bunch of girls in the game though if that counts.
>you can date a bunch of girls in the game though if that counts.
Nice. I'm a pretty lonely guy so stuff like this really appeals to me.
I just want it because of the comfy setting
I'm dating the first one right now and it starts off like the hostess stuff in previous games, but they altered it slightly so it feels more like dating. I like it more that way.
Can I have multiple GFs? The first one asked me if I am single, I hope I didn't locked the other ones now.
There's four of them and a trophy for maxing out all four so it doesn't seem like they care about polygamy.
