The Final Fantasy VII Remake is going to be one of the most heavily modded games in history. Nude mods, soundtrack mods, mesh/texture mods, voice mods, you name it. It won't matter if there's no tools or source code, the fanboys will just reverse engineer and disseminate before being C&D'd. You'll be able to play with Lightning as the MC, George Newbern voicing Sephiroth and Crisis Core Aerith. Complaining about the little development details as they emerge over the next 8 years is absolutely pointless.
