The purpose of eating at dinner is mainly to lie about the days events, which lowers your shame levels. Once suspicion raises to a high enough level, where you are caught, the male can go around town/your home and view the events/install cameras and view events.

No matter what, talking to the Amazon dude in the park (Yukino) and by the town entrance (Leanna) is the best way to progress in the games. In Leanna, you will want to work at the blacksmith's shop until you receive the free bikini armor, then you will want to start taking jobs for the guild. That's the fastest way to earn a lot of money. I'm sure there is a safer way of making money, but that's the quickest way that I know of.

I prefer ones made with Wolf RPG editor such as The Strange Man series and Mad Father. It really depends on execution and RPGmaker tends to be more of a first or second step for those who are interested in making games but not a goal at all.

The step before that would be to make mods for games like Quake, Doom, Morrowind, and even Skyrim and then make an RPGmaker game to further test the waters.
