The thing keeping me from turning aging on (other than the ugly randomly generated sims the game will replace my custom dying sims with) is there's no sense of time moving forward. I guess technically there is time, but nothing in the game changes. I think it would be neat if styles and technologies progressed with time. It would make generational play way more interesting to start a game in the roaring 20s and go through all the eras like the swinging 60s and disco 70s, and into the present or even future.

I downloaded Sims 4, but then rememberd what happened when I torrented Sim3. I played for 30 minutes and realized there was nothing to do. So I just have Sim 4 sitting on my hardrive doing nothing. Even if I get porn mods there is no point, since there are better porn games to fap to. And ATF was taken down so unless whickedwhims already has support for fucking kids there is no incentive for Sims

Vanilla TS3 isn't too good at making attractive sims but I wouldn't say it's awful. It's workable. If you install slider mods and maybe some new textures then it's fine. You aren't going to making the cartoon characters of Sims 2 & 4 but you can make some pretty good semi-realistic looking sims in Sims 3 with just some basic CAS mods.

Only for closets and some slide door I can never figure out.

Sims 3 has dogs, horses, and deer. It doesn't compare to the variety you'll find in Skyrim if you just want to watch animations play out though. Sims is more about providing context through the rest of the gameplay.

All the loading screens keep me from properly playing and enjoying sims 4. I only keep it around for the lewd mods which I enjoy for 20 minutes then forget about for a few weeks. I prefer actually playing sims 3 since I don't need to load to do every action. Fuck sims 4 and all its loading screens.

No, expansion packs you don't have don't magically appear in your game just because you use content that relies on those expansions. Something you do have gets swapped in instead.

If you want characters in the game, you gotta make them and then add them to the unplayed group so they're used as NPCs.

Most of us don't actually know how to sculpt faces, we just take existing sims and change them a bit for our own shit taste. Even the guys who can sculpt tend to only have 1 style, 2 max and when you see them post like 5-10 sims, you start noticing samefacing or at least the same style of facial aesthetic. The usual exceptions are when these sculptors do what the rest of us do, use another sim as a foundation.

Really? I think it's good enough, I've probably made around 300 characters by now, maybe more. Detail editing and normal editing both have alot of useful ways to mold the face in to what you might like. One problem I have is that I tend to probably make sameish faces due to the way I sculpt jaws. Tend to end up with triangle mostly, with diamond and oval being exceptions to the rule every now and again, maybe.
