The model changes into a particular death animation, but it's because it died with the sword in a particular hitbox, so the slice doesn't line up and it looks wonky.
You had that for a lot of games where if you shoot a particular part, it just pops off the model and disappears. It's kind of the lazy way to do it compared to MGRR which dynamically changed the mesh to fit the damage.

Dwarf Fortress

Their main selling point was the 'blood map' thing, which held up. it's only so apparent in a clean map like the lab though.

It does the job for a game that isn't centered around a precision slicing gimmick.

I think L4D2 had a good idea for gore though. Seems to be material based with innards having a parallax effect. I wish they did the same for the special infected though.

Nah. I just have a PS3 so the only version of 2 I can play at the moment is Sigma 2, which deleted the gore. So I'll have to get an Xbone X eventually so I can play the BC on the series.

It partially censored the gore, not deleted. There is still dismemberment and blood but the wounds and spraying blood at the cut was replaced with magic purple mist and there is no flying limbs when the cut is made.

You should play it regardless if you have the chance, there's more to these games than the gore.
