*turns on dynamic resolution and dynamic quality settings* Problem fixed

4790k master race

better than wasting cash on up to date hardware that will lose 30% of its value in couple months time and using that beefy PC just to browse Yea Forums and youtube

How bout a GTX 670 ftw

i7 4770k and gtx 780 bro

will probably upgrade to Ampere in 2020

Attached: 1548283431153.jpg (1080x1266, 85K)

I am.
But with a 4790k.
PC is shit these days and there are no good games worth upgrading for.
It's all scams full of Mtx designed to make you shell out more $$ instead of being designed for your own enjoyment.

>he upgrades more than once a decade
There are thousands of games worth thousands of hours of your time that you've never touched, yet you keep spending $thousands every 2 years just to play a handful of shitty AAA games that no one will remember once the sequel is out. The only thing worth regularly spending money on is drive space.

Attached: 1538917464446.png (535x403, 86K)

It almost doesn't matter anymore for 1080p 60 fps gaming, but 1440p 144fps is pretty fantastic.

lmao I'm using a 760.

I also have a 760 but haven't been PC gaming as much recently. I bought my ps4 with a game for 200 like 2 black fridays ago and with the boom of cryptocurrency going mainstream, graphics cards are so disgustingly overpriced

>4690k and gtx970
I only play older games so I don't see a reason to upgrade.

Attached: 1536500572324.jpg (300x294, 73K)

all I play is wow why should I upgrade

based bro

i5 3330 and 1060 6 GB here with 8gb ram and 1366*768 monitor.
My processor massively bottlenecks the GPU and I get huge FPS drops in shit tier games like insurgency 1 and cities skylines. Some modern games work perfectly well with 60FPS but I also get shitty sub 30 FPS in AC origins on High-Very high settings.

4670k and a GTX 770 actually

me? 3.5gb? don't make me laugh

I need the rest of this pic....

i have a 9600k and a 2060 bros but my computer is so slow idk what im doing wrong

I can play RE4 at 4K @ 60fps.
Nothing else matters.

Damn it feels good to be getting almost 100% of money back each time I uprade PC every year

Not my fault literally nothing came out to make me upgrade.

But a 760 is better than a ps4.

2500k and GTX670 reporting in.

The fuck I need to upgrade for?

Good one

>vega 56 when the 3700 just came out but cooler and less power hungry for barely more money

Why upgrade my 970 GTX when I don't play anything that needs something better?
I've mostly been playing games from the late 90s early 00s lately anyway.

you're a huge retard my dude

wut ? that's a cpu not a gpu

6600k/1070

the cpu is about to be replaced by a 3900x, still waiting for a GPU upgrade that's worth it and substantial. AMD is hardly an upgrade, nvidia is full jew mode.

6700K/1070Ti
i dont think i will ever need a COU upgrade but will probably upgrade when ampere comes out with actual RTX technology

4790k with GTX 970 itt. I'd just buy RTX 2070 for cyberpunk 2077. Should be enough for 1080p

I'm already maxing my CPU in the ubiboxes I play. I'm a sucker for that shit.

Still in i5 4670k and r9 380 4gb and 8 ram.

Based 3.5 with .5 partition bros

4720 2.6 GHz and GTX 960M, move over richfags

>tfw have i5 3570k and 970gtx

I was thinking of replacing the cpu with 3700x, but will it be worth it?

GPU-s all seem retardedly expensive so don't think i wanna upgrade that just yet.

Attached: RR81a6K.jpg (1000x1000, 701K)

idk bro, ryzen zen 2 looks interesting value but if i do so i'd also need a new mobo and i just got a new one recently, i think i will just get a nice noctua cooler and overclock the if i ever need that extra juice

t.justupgradredefromtheseandwanttobrag

Same here.
Waiting for decent VR and matching GPUs before upgrading.

user you can easily look this up yourself. The ps4 came out at the end of 2013. It's not exactly powerful.

I already OC'd my 6600k. Your hyperthreading will probably go some way at least, but for me it's the limit of what the little shit will do.

I'm using a 960m and I cant upgrade because it's in a laptop. Lol

Why? If you just want the singlecore, stick with the 9700k for $100 less. If you want the multicore, AMD. The 9900k is just so not worth it.

>tfw using an r 290 x

it's really fucking hot but it's still run erything perfectly.

That has been pc gaming since 10years. Its been a early access, indie, f2p, moba and br trash fest since forever

Only where singlecore matters, in which case, again, 9700.

Multicore, AMD has an easy win at that pricepoint. If you're too much of a fanboy to see that a 12-core will piss all over an 8-core then I can't help you.

also I'm stuck on lga1151 for a socket type and I don't want a new mobo so AMD is a nah for me.

I5 9400f and 1660.

Third worlder with 1050ti + g4560 here. I honestly don't see much point upgrading since japanese games run fine.

2500k and 1070ti

I've been meaning to upgrade my CPU (really just want a more modern mobo) for years now, but nothing has blown me away so I just keep waiting and waiting and waiting...

Sometimes I wonder how bottlenecked I truly am but then I remember that everything I care about already runs at 154fps so why even bother.

The 3.5 card is still fine for 1080p.

If you have a 6xxx, then 6th and 7th gen is all you can get on that board. If you want 8th or 9th gen intel, you need a new board anyways.

Because Intel are fucking jews and decided that old boards don't work even if it's still 1151.

>2500k
there's ya bottleneck chief. but if you don't have problems when why upgrade really, so good on you

4770k and a first gen titan ;^)

ebay, mate. Don't be shy to buy CPUs used, they last to obsolence.

Also, unless you have a z-chipset board, you probably don't need to bother with k-chips unless price/performance is better.

i have a 2500k and a 560ti and i don't plan on upgrading any time soon. i still have lots of games in my backlog to play.

1080p is still 1080p too.

I use a 5820k and a 980 Ti and play at 1080p. My pc is getting old now but I'm happy with it.

I'm thinking of upgrading the GPU/PSU and just using it until it dies. Is it worth it, or am I better off buying a new rig altogether?

>970
>Bad
Why should I buy a better performing GPU if the only games that need it are the AAA trash that are so horrible that they are not even worth to play?

Honest question Yea Forums, why do you hate poorfags so much?

Attached: 1558030395046.jpg (934x1200, 413K)

Do over. If you buy a new GPU, the CPU will just hold you back hard anyways. If you start over, you can do it properly, with an SSD and a case that you don't hate to work in, as well as generally parts that work on level.

the xbox one x's gpu is a custom rx 580, go get a rx 580 for 150 bucks then

they hate people that remind them of the things they hate about themselves

Money is everything. If you don't have money you're a failuire. If you're a failure it's only naturel you are shunned.

>980ti
>terrible
I hope you die.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I'm curious as to exactly how much of a bottleneck it's imposing on me, but I just don't care enough to find out by upgrading and seeing how much greener the grass is. I'm probably gonna hit a decade with the chip before I truly feel the need to upgrade.

Guilty, I'm still using a 970. I was considering upgrading just to improve my 3DS emulation.

I use my RTX 2070 to play risk of rain 2 and keep 240 fps during the craziest parts of the game even though I still can't see shit

6700k/R9 380

Runs Firefox perfectly, so why upgrade?

metro exodus

Vega56 can be oc'd and got for 270~

i really want to upgrade my 1070 but for streaming purposes because windows 10 GPU resource allocation is fuckey

depends where he is from you can get a vega56 for almost half the price of a 2060

My 970 is great but I'm getting 4k in backpay so I'm going to build an entirely new rig with VR in mind. Given the fact that I haven't looked at computer parts since 2014, my mind is absolutely blown at how cheap storage and RAM is. Like goddamn I'll probably do 32 gigs RAM just for the fact that I probably spent more for that on 8 gigs in 2014.

>i5-8600k
>1060 6GB
Only thing I play anymore is VR shit and strategy games, don't need anything more than what I have.

Same build here. I run all new games on high-very high. Have to lower them for VR though.

>tfw I only replaced my 560Ti because it died and got a used 1050 for cheap

Maybe it's time to upgrade, I still use a i5-2500k and 8GB RAM

Attached: 1532938804112.jpg (480x360, 25K)

i have a rx480 still

RX480 4GB and I've got a backlog of about 90 visual novels

>Got a 1070 Ti and 7600k
Spend all day playing games like Wizard of Legend, Tales of Maj’Eyal and FTL
I could be playing these games on my dinky laptop.

I don't hate poorfags, I grew up as one. And I get it, it's kind of shitty, but sitting around playing games doesn't make the situation any better even if it makes it temporarily bearable. Sometimes you just have to put aside the things you want to do.

I moved my 2500k to a console sized HTPC with an ultra low profile gtx 1050 ti. The whole thing fits in a backpack.

2600K, 16GB RAM with a reference RX 480 I bought on launch day. It still handles titles better than any console. I've had the system going for 8 years and had a 560TI in it previously. Still plays everything I want at high or ultra 1080P. By the time I actually need to replace it AMD is going to be on a new socket and DDR 5 is going to be the standard. By the time PS5 launches my system will be 10 years old. I've been putting money away the entire time for an upgrade. I could drop 3K today on a system build but there's really no point. I don't need a 144HZ screen to dab on zoomies with my 20 year old Q3 skills. I will probably just wind up getting whatever is mid range about 6 months after PS5 launches and go back to comfortably shitting on everything else.

What did they do? I haven't used either in some time.

ghacks.net/2018/08/01/ccleaner-5-45-dont-install/
i just use bleachbit and hwmonitor

waiting for these supposed amd gpus to drop

also my 970 still gets 60+ in pretty much every game I've thrown at it

gtx 1060 6b with a ryzen 5 2600, obviously not overclocked. i don't want to damage the circuits.

>i5 3rd gen
>960 4gb
>8gb ram
life is suffering

2-3 years Sandy Bridge bro. A few games are finally making use of more than a single core and it's finally becoming the standard after a decade.

Asus or msi 2080 is $400 at staples. Tempted to buy but the last PC game I played was the witcher 3 and gta5 on my 770. Is there any games to get for PC now or is it better to just wait for cyberpunk to come out and buy a card then when prices are even more lower.

2500k, 1060

>Doom
>Sekiro
>RE2 Remake
>DMC5
>Nu Tomb Raider
If you don't care about any of those games then might as well just wait until Cyberpunk and buy the card cheaper

I just bought a 3600X with a X570 board and 16gb RAM about an hour ago, this i5 really started showing it's age this year

That's scummy as fuck, especially not being able to close it. Thanks.

>actually 2500k and 970 owner
>just bought a 3700X
Fug I already regret it. I don't even play AAA that much anymore. I fucked up. And yet, I want to believe the 3700X will be the new 2500k

>2500k since 2012
>GTX 960
I keep telling myself to wait until something real good comes out but at the same time I'm surprised the cpu is still alive

Attached: batman schway.jpg (640x480, 80K)

it cant even beat the 9700k

2500/2600 are stronk, doesn't really seem like there's much reason to upgrade yet

coping incelshill

oh hey if we swap a number between gpu and cpu we're the same

Attached: speccy.png (434x389, 27K)

I'm glad I didn't fall for the AMD meme.

Attached: cpu is actually a 9700k 5.1GHz.jpg (783x570, 56K)

Name one game worth upgrading for.

show me graphs of it beating the 9700k

Are we sure Intel is launching its GPUs in 2020?

>Waiting for decent VR

VR will never catch on, it's a fad. Even if it cost 50 bucks for a headset and a potato could run it, it would still fail due it's limitations.

Kill yourself retard Yea Forums has nothing to do with Japan in general it is an ANIME IMAGE BOARD fucking newfag

ryzen 3 and 1050ti

>implying all the best games aren't 10+ years old anyway

>he still watches anime in 2019

FX3650 and GTX960
Everything I care about works fine, eat my dick cheese.

6700K, my GPU died so I'm playing Starcraft. I might pick up rtx 2700s, there's some upcoming games I wanna play.

underrated post. Wont give a fuck about upgrading until I see a game worth buying. I'm not a poorfag and have a decent job

2600k and 970 here. Still no compelling reason to upgrade.
