Literally no issue with discord other than no one on Yea Forums has any friends or even close acquaintances to invite them or make their own private server, so when a /Yea Forumsirgin joins a largely populated server they have no way of getting friends or even people to play with them. Now we're using Discord, but ultimately the lack of privacy is concerning.

I was just wondering. Does IRC and Teamspeak support image/gif embedding and text fonts (like bold italics, etc)? Can it be modified to support that? I want to make the switch for numerous reasons including because public Discord servers were actually a terrible experience for me and I really just want a comfy small messaging experience between me and my friends and none of this fucking large-scale shit.
If not IRC or Teamspeak. Are there other alternatives which support what I have in mind? And aren't spyware/botnet?

Me. The only closest negative we have is an actual RP thing. But it's not ERP. It's just some adventure RP that now that I think about it has pretty much evolved into something like a Tabletop RPG but without the mathematic stats because we trust each other to keep our characters balanced and if one of the characters goes over the line then we call them out for it.
But eventually one of my friends talked me into joining public servers and I got involved in some stupid drama and some pretty manipulative fucks.
Now I am guilt-ridden at the shit that happened despite it not being my fault and really did not want to see the shit I've seen. I am hoping to try and set things right and move on tonight and then go back to my comfy private server we had set up.
And if he asks to join another public server, I'll just say "no" and remind him of what happened last time.

Really? Community consists of my friends. Content is preserved on my server, I can look back all the way till day one. Even with web 1.0 forums you could join and PM the motherfuckers or send an email. Discord is opaque to search engines and thus leads to information loss.
