If you had to pick your favorite out of these four fantastic games, which one would it be and why?

I really enjoyed Eiyuu Senki. Had to do some weird pirating shit and I don't believe there is still a decent english patch available (only menu and actions are translated), but I skipped through most of the dialogue anyway.

I enjoyed the combat system, and thought the character designs were really cute and was well done for most of the countries/characters they represented it. Didn't really care about the H scenes because the game itself was just fun.

Does anyone know what the difference between the standard version and Gold version is? I see it's now available on steam which is cool, and appears to be fully translated.

I believe you just need to get more characters, start using them in combat more. I got a decent amount of them when I played and this was with no translations either.

The one on Steam is the original game, not Gold.

Yeah I should have clarified. That's too bad because it seems I played Gold first. Asides from more characters, apparently the combat is better too. I don't think they're going to release Gold, since the standard edition was a PS3 port.

So no sense in playing the old version, even if it is fully translated. And apparently to get the 18+ patch you have to buy it off the publisher's site for like $8

I mean it's either I get a translated version with worse gameplay/combat & less characters, or a fully translated version. It's an eroge world-conquest story, am I REALLY missing out on dialogue

Sengoku Rance still remains the best gameplay title I ever played.

Yeah. Befriending the girls before fucking them is the whole point of playing a VN. Gold translation is in the works btw. For anyone ITT who hasn't played it I'd say play the uncensored english translated original and then enjoy Gold when it's done.

AFAIK the steam version is all ages only and you have to pay for the 18+ patch on JAST's site.

gold version has a slightly different story and adds in clothes breaking when characters lose their health

Eiyuu Senki Gold > Sengoku Rance > Eiyuu Senki
Gold has great gameplay with the expanded item system and I really like the art and designs.
Rance has better story and characters though you might prefer Eiyuu Senki's fluffy cuteness.
But one thing Rance definitely has over it is the fact that Rance is an actual character.

funny as hell, gameplay isn't that bad

3. Eiyuu Senki (I played Gold version)
best porn of the group, fun on hard mode but there's no time limit like in Rance so you can just sit around grinding.

4. Bunny Black
hits all my fetishes but it gets way too repetitive, poor balance, the dungeons aren't fun
