That one looks weird, particularly the Digimon in battle, I don't have high hopes for it, but I'm not a fan of VNs anyway.

It's only grindy if you need a certain type to defeat a boss, which you happen to not have at that moment.

Digimon usually evolve through bonds and taking care of them rather than just levelling, and often their evolutions are temporary or reversible. They can usually evolve into a variety of lines as well rather than being stuck in a 1>2>3 evolution line.
In Cyber Sleuth, you can go up a line of evolutions and then come back down through de-evolution to go up another branch. The gameplay itself is similar to Pokemon, but type advantages aren't as strong, and it has an actual plot.

Friendly reminder that this is a port of the Jap PS4 version of Hacker's Memory, which had an updated version of Cyber Sleuth as dlc, adding all the HM Digimon and rebalancing the game.

How long into Cyber Sluts do I have to play to get digi-eggs for 02 shit like Veemon? I'm probably just gonna go down the Veedramon line for now but I'm curious how the eggs show up.

cyber sluts was fun but the translation was famously bad to the point where multiple choice questions were accidentally made into a whole dialog paragraph.

Cyber Sleuth is not very good. The gameplay balance is a joke and the translation is one of the worst I've ever suffered through in a professionally made game. People only like it because Digimon is starving for a decent JRPG and it's the closest attempt they've made in recent memory.

Cyber Sleuth is awful as an actual game though. The story is fun and the Yasuda art is nice but the actual gameplay is a giant slog.

You literally create digimon by encountering them in battles and there's only like 5 baby types in the first SS. So you can do the math on how quickly you can get your favorite mon.

Neither Normal nor Hard are really grindy. They just hit you with bullshit bosses who have super armor and are immune to poison/paralyze/etc and in hardmode the boss health is tripled. The closest thing to grinding is the fact that raising a Gatomon or something with a defense-piercing skill is a necessity.

Courage is super early in CS, but much later in HM. CS is a sidequest and HM is a boss battle. Digi-Egg digivolutions are pretty ass though, since they are locked at champion level and quickly get outscaled.

This really isn't the first console Digimon and Pokémon coexisted on.

Doubt it, AC7 was a brand new game, this is a re-release, not even a remaster. Re-releases usually don't get added languages, they just port the games as is, beacause it takes far less money. Besides, Digimon's still niche as fuck, and both games are stupidly dialogue/text heavy, the amount of money and time they'd have to put into translating that shit to other languages wouldn't be worth the effort.
