Lime

"Thinking man's shooter".
Just lite rpg elements, decent story and fun dialogue inside open-ended levels. Have fun. Ignore stealth.

A decent game, not very fun to play stealth or pacifist though

the best game ever made

(except the graphics...it was already ugly when released)

Starts slow, pay attention to the plot and don't drop it on your first mission

Stick to the prod, remember we're police.

>Ignore stealth.
i'll fuckin baton u m8

Remember, the GEP gun is the most silent way to take out Menderley

Coming as someone with a short attention span who usually doesn't do any reading, the in game lore articles are genuinely compelling. Read all the book and news excerpts. Get the computer skills level that lets you save emails and read through them. This game is a gem.

You are in for a very enjoyable time

Put on a trenchcoat and fight some conspiracies

Play on realistic
GEP is the best pick
If you are using rifles or pistols get the skill to Advanced as soon as possible
The enemies have worse vision and sight than you think

anyone else not kill any NSF guys but after the midpoint just murder everyone mercilessly? nonlethal gets way harder as the game goes on

I just murder from the getgo. There's no consequences.

Nonlethal is a meme. Sam Carter only cares about whether you attack head on or take discretion in battery park. Paul is a NSF stooge.

The only lives that matter are hostages.

JC is a professional, so no killing.

low iq

I kill Majestic 12 guys, incap everyone else

Just play the game and see for yourself????????????????????????????????????????????????

Zoomers literally can't play games without modding them first and asking what they're in for

Pepper gun makes non-lethal runs trivial

Terror

Its all in the numbers

Do you have a single fact to back that up?

Number one, that's terror. Number two, that's terror.

S'COOL

I always start out non-lethal, until I get to Anna Navarre on the plane. At that point it feels like I'm forced to cause either her or Lebedev to die so pretending to play non-lethal feels pointless.

Another thing is that the flamethrower is really fun to use, and MJ12 conspirators deserve to die more than ignorant NSF fools do.

crowbar everything to death
including bosses

old men

>Ignore stealth.
Sticking with the prod is easily the most fun for first playthroughs though.

Stealth is the best option desu.

How so, because NPCs aren't blind and deaf beyond 50 meters?

>Just bought this on sale, what am I in for?

important for first run:
>no mods
>realistic difficulty for best combat
>hacking is op and also gives you access tons of lore
>the first level of lockpicking and electronics is op
>stealth is fun and op
>weapons become op once you get the skill to master
>you can destroy or emp a lot of objects with enough damage, including alarm buttons and laser tripwires
>pistol class has good options for stealth, rifles have more variety (silenced sniper is absolute op)
>melee gets one of the strongest weapons halfway into the game, heavy weapons are a waste of inventory space, except for the GEP

Stick with the Prod, Prod with the Prod

Old janky Garbo hyped by old boomer fucks. Graphics are fucking abysmal too. Refund it while you can. Not even worth a pirate

But they are. Find a guard with long straight patrol route and see how close he will come until he sees you.

But I vant orange.

Who the fuck buys a game without knowing what it's like?

>bought this on sale
>an hour of two of fun
>a thought that goes like this "oh boy, this is so fun, imma finish it later"
>game added to backlog
>never completed

horseshit. it only got flak for the stiff animations. the graphics were good for 2001.

Vanilla is fine, so play without any mods first. If/when you decide to go for another run, avoid Redux and grab GMDX mod instead. It adds, changes and objectively improves a bunch of stuff but it doesn't stray too much from the style of the original.

Old men running the world. A new age!
