i do miss konami making games that can slightly separate from the OCG rules. i can understand nowadays being impossible with the amount of cards already existing having them to make adjustment to adapt to the gameplay intended for game purposes but still games like dark side stories, forbidden memories, duelist of the roses, falsebound kingdom, sacred cards and reshef of destruction are good alternatives if you want to play by anime rules or just play something different from the strict official rules

We got so many cool yugioh spinoff games because most where in development before they had finished the official rules for the card games. They just kinda gave the devs the art and stats for the cards and told them to do whatever.

That's his first form. Thousand Eyes Restrict is a fusion of relinquished and another monster. Like how Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon are separate but still related.

that sucks, i was hoping for a duelist of the roses sequel, it was a pretty cool concept though their fusion methods weren't as flexible as they were in dark side stories and forbidden memories

One day I hope for a Duel Terminal full on RPG. It's a surprise they never even attempted anything like it yet. Konami knows it's already got multiple full stories that people already like, character designs (and probably some models), and even a decent rpg battle system they could lift from Falsebound Kingdom.
