Suikoden II is very very good tho.

I like that there are so many characters, at least one of them will just do it for you.

For me, it was Yoshino Yamamoto. She’s the perfect waifu.

As for fapfu, I’d go with Oulan.

For male characters, I really dig Shin and his Tarantula theme.

Viktor and Flick are badass too, they should always be around.

Ellie was great. Wish she got more scenes with Riou. I wish Crowley had made it into Suikoden 2.

S2 is certainly a good game, but I was disappointed in the ending.

So your bro Jowy betrayed you for the big bad empire along the middle mark. You would think he had some kind of justifiable master plan, all the way until the end.

But nope. He did it for the lulz, because he got frustrated during the peace negotiation, he turn evil and sided with Luca Blight. What a retarted story.

He believed power was that only way to unify the land and get a long lasting peace. It's why the Sword chose him as his runebearer.

Suikoden 2 is probably my favorite jrpg but it's hard to be objective when a game is so damn pretty. People talk about BoFiv having beautiful sprite work but I think suikoden 2 is much better looking.

I tried to play this game but when I heard the translation job was botched I didn't know whether or not I should continue.

For the record I loved Suiko2 but it's pretty inferior to the first one in both plot and characters. 2 is only good for its polish, mini games, Luca Blight, Shu and seeing the characters from 1 again.
I change it often to keep things fresh but I usually try to have Zamza, Valeria(*) and some good wizard like Luc. Vincent/Simone are also pretty amusing. For a challenge I once tried to use the five squirrels up to and including the final boss.
Better dead than shit like 4 or 5.

Jowy is shit and deserves to rot at Tenzan pass while Tonfag stays in his new country enjoying life without his backstabbing friend and his bitch sister.
BoF4 has much better animations for sure. The "sprites in a 3D world" graphics can be a turnoff though.
The game is still playable and the story is pretty easy to understand.

I bought my Suiko's 1 protagonist into the final scene were Riou and Jowy meet on the mountain. Cuz Imma Main character fanboy.
