Custom Colors in smash when?

Not even the Mii Fighters, the true “Create-a-Character(s)” of Smash have it. No way the more standard fighters would, but god would it be great. Making custom palettes is so much fun.

Probably never. Companies like TPCi, Sega, and SE are too protective and it wouldn't make sense for only some characters to have custom colors.

I mean Piranha Plant has guidance but Joker doesn’t and it’s likely the other DLC won’t have them either. That doesn’t make sense but it’s in the game.

even if you have to unlock colors, getting free agency to just make your own custom palettes would be the tits
though i'd imagine most samus skins would just be the most skin colored choice and all of the Yea Forums rooms would just have green and purple alts

Square won't let them use more than 2 songs because the rights are all fucked up. FFXIV's Bard class has a playable instrument and you're not allowed to play a lot of Final Fantasy music on it because legally they can't let you.

There was a leak a while ago that included this idea. It'd be sweet, and would work the same way custom stages do in lobbies where they're downloaded during the loading screens. Not like a color set would be a large amount of data anyway.
When the Ultimate demo was happening, it was noticed that Mario's (and maybe some other characters) character render was actually an in-game model, not the current hyper-detailed one he uses now. If they did add a color creator, they could use that strategy for the custom colors.
