Nocturne, IV, Strange Journey
>What's your favourite?
Raidou, Digital Devil Saga
>Why do you like this series?
Great music, fun turn based combat, interesting world and plot, good demon design
>Is it dead?
Not really, waiting for SMT 5
>Waifus?
Demonfus, rather.
I'm not really into any particular franchise/series now that I think about it
My good friend user, if you haven't played the new Hitman games do yourself a favor and go kill some people.
It's fun because you murder people.
Dragon Quest
>What's are the fan favourites?
III (classic feel), V (2D), VIII (3D)
>What's your favourite?
VI
>Why do you like this series?
Doesn't do anything stupid to the formula like ATB and it manages to make pretty much every game a worthwhile experience that I could see many reasons for favouring one game over the other.
>Is it dead?
No but you never know when another neverever will strike
>Waifus?
For me? It's Debora
>What's are the fan favourites?
SH 1-3
>What's your favourite?
Silent Hill, i love the camera angles in this game, 2 and 3 have too much third person camera imo
>Why do you like this series?
Akira Yamamoka, im a lover of any sort of story that deals with themes of sadness/regret/guilt/loneliness and these games are filled with it
>Is it dead?
yea, fuck konami
>Waifus?
Heather is best waifu
Playing through SMT IV right now and really liking it, even though it is a bit low budget
Alright anons my favorite series ever is Xenoblade Chronicles
>fan favorite is probably the original on the Wii
>my favorite is Xenoblade Chronicles X
>I love the world and exploration. For some reason Monolith Soft is amazing at making maps, and the Xenoblade games are super fun to explore. All of them incorporate verticality really well, so the map isn't just one flat plane, it has multiple layers and makes it both harder and more rewarding to explore.
>I love the combat too. I don't like the first game's as much, but XCX and XC2 are both great. XCX is more complicated and gives you a huge array of arts to mix and match, but XC2 is better designed. But both of them are fun to learn and master, and when you get to post-game bosses the combat is amazing
>A lot of people like Xenoblade for the story and I like the story (it's great) but it's not the reason I play or would recommend the game
>Thank the Architect it's not dead. Since XC2 sold well Monolith Soft is almost certainly working on either XC3 or XCX2. Even though they haven't confirmed either, they have said they want to make both, and given how well XC2 sold Nintendo will almost certainly let them make both.
>Waifus. Yes. Absolutely. XC2 is the most blatant with Pyra, Mythra, and Nia being first and foremost, but about 2/3 of the rare blades are female so there's a lot of waifu potential (my favorite is Praxis)
>XC1 and XCX don't pander to waifus as much as XC2, but XC1 still has Fiora and Sharla (nice jiggle physics on the latter, considering XC1 came out on Wii) and XCX has Elma and a few other nice girls like Mia and that one Ganglion boss with her bootay hanging out (can't remember her name)
I've had a bit to drink so I'm rambling but anons you should all definitely play a Xenoblade Chronicles game
Resident Evil
>What's are the fan favourites?
RE4 or REmake, down to preference for classic vs. action gameplay.
>What's your favourite?
Tie between REmake for great single player and RE5 for excellent co-op.
>Why do you like this series?
I think it does a great job with both slower-paced horror gameplay and cheesy action.
>Is it dead?
Alive and well, with the RE2 remake coming out earlier this year.
>Waifus?
Plenty of good waifus and husbandos throughout the series. There’s probably something for everybody.
bump
Hitman
>What's are the fan favourites?
2SA, Contracts, Blood Money
>What's your favourite?

It's the only alright series I'm into right now, and it's a really unique stealth series
>Is it dead?
It's still alive but no one knows about the future
>Waifus?
Diana and the Colombian drug girl are cute
Taroverse

Crazy but well established lore, the games do unique things with the medium
>Is it dead?
The opposite

All sorts of them
I want to but my autism won't let me until I finish Gears and Saga
DMC
>What's are the fan favourites?
3, 4, and 5 I tend to see being talked about the most, with 1 popping up at some points.
>What's your favourite?
DMC3
>Why do you like this series?
Fun gameplay, campy and likable characters, great music, CUHRAZEE style and aesthetics, etc...
>Is it dead?
Nope

Best girl is pic related, bar none. Nevan is also great as well.
>Lady
>Not that thicc brown bitch from 4
Darkstalkers Series
>What's are the fan favourites?
Vampire Hunter (Darkstalkers 2)
Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3)
>What's your favourite?
Vampire Savior
>Why do you like this series?
Fast-paced and fluid combat, concentrated kino 90's animation, coolest premise I can think of for a game (monsters from old horror flicks fight in a Street Fighter-style tournament).
>Is it dead?
Absolutely. Even with Discord it's really hard to find matches.
>Waifus?
Morrigan, Felicia, Lei Lei, Lilith, Q-Bee, Bulleta.
That’s Trish, user.
Oh shit for real. I didn't play much of 4, Fortuna Castle annoyed me so much I quit
play Comedy Night. the game is completely unmoderated and allows for verbal shitposting in the absolute purest form possible. if your pirated version is up to date, you can connect to lobbies like anyone who actually bought the game. use of regedit also allows you to bend the game to your will, as bans on comedy night are stored client-side.
Atelier
>What's are the fan favourites?
Arland, Dusk, Mysterious
>What's your favourite?
Mysterious, Lydie and Suelle to be specific.
>Why do you like this series?
It’s the crafting game you’ve ever wanted along with great character interaction.
>Is it dead?
No, but it can grow larger.
>Waifus?
Sure.
Luvcheez?
4’s problem is that it’s basically unfinished. I still find it fun to play through but it really could’ve used more time to flesh out Dante’s levels instead of just having him backtrack through Nero’s.
Are the DS DQ games any good? If they are could you please recommend me some
Ace combat
Zero
Zero
Its fun as all fuck.
New one came out this year
Who needs waifus when you have planefus
>Who is Rena
Can you keep that n*mefaggotry on /vg/?
>What's are the fan favourites
Even though the grammar was incorrect it was adorably correct. I'll bite.
Zelda's my shebang but I don't wanna make it seem like a shitpost so I'll suggest
>Jak and Daxter series
>Both Jak&Daxter and Jak 3 are kino but the Daxter PSP spinoff was top notch
>I enjoy it because it transitions from the casual platform to a GTA-like utopia that's not as average sandbox as GTA but still neatly transitions from one type of gameplay to another while still maintaining a fluent storyline therefore the various atmospheres really put things together
>Yes because High Impact Games made The Lost Frontier and fucked everything up
>Big tiddy future elves yes plz
t. luvcheez
>Doing the spin shot with the gun that bounces off walls
Dude, fucking same. Shit was fun as fuck.
My plane autism has become too strong user. I cant find pleasure in the girls anymore, only the jets.
There's planefus too, like the Nigtou Raben or Morgan
The DS games are the most solid I reckon.
If you want a chapter system where each chapter is based around a party member as they all come together for the final chapter play IV.
If you want to experience a hard life from birth to picking a wife and having children play V.
If you want a game with a real world and a dream world that you can see causes and consequences in with a pretty banging class system play VI.
The DS versions of V and VI have party chat which is really good. IV only has it on the mobile version.
Been wanting to try this series. I know some have time limits which I don't like. What's a good one to start with? (Ideally on Vita).
Dark souls
>What's are the fan favorites?
Dark souls 1
>What's your favorite?
Dark souls 1
>Why do you like this series?
It’s captivating in a certain way it’s a show not tell sort of thing where you slowly piece together the history of a broken world
>Is it dead?
No
>Waifus?
Yes Anastasia,fire keeper,quelaag,solaire,and patches
Not him but I bought DQ IV and V on DS a few days ago while drunk. Planning to play them after I play FE Three Houses (which I'll play after I beat SMT IV
I want to do lewd things with Morgan but im in a commited relationship with F-4..
i hope she doesnt see this post otherwise im sleeping on the couch tonight
Atelier Sophie is basically no time limit and on the vita. I don’t know how the quality is, but I doubt it’s in any way terrible due to how many times the game has been ported. Firis has time limit for a bit, but you can clear it if you just rush and focus on the quest.
