Will there ever be new esport titles or will it forever be these games?

Will there ever be new esport titles or will it forever be these games?
>league of legends/dota
>counter-strike
>starcraft
I mean Valve is fucking up CS:GO, making it a huge giant cash cow. (of course this retarded society enjoys it, lmao)
League of Legends/Dota, same shit over and over and over again. Starcraft same.
So will people in 2030 still play the same esport titles?
Will there ever be anything new?
And most important:
Will we ever see hardcore games again or will it forever be casual cash cow games with skins and loot boxes?
What the hell happened to eSport.
And I guess only people born before the early 90's will understand what I'm talking about.
The feeling I had playing Counter-Strike 1.6 never came back. CSGO is just too casual and too much of a cash cow.
Do people even care about feelings anymore? Actually FEELING good playing a game instead of just playing it because of WHO THE FUCK KNOWS WHY?

>CSGO is just too casual and too much of a cash cow
That's the whole point of esports you fuckass

You need money to make that happen, and it seems that the people with money don't view esports as a viable venture currently. Maybe they're just a bunch of boomers who refuse to acknowledge this side of games.

it never was until league of legends started selling champions/skins.

Esports have always been a pyramid scheme to use the tourneys as advertisements to draw in casuals who will pay for the game. Microtransactions only extend it.
The largest remaining grassroots competition is smash bros, and that's changed a lot with newer releases

>capitalism is literally about taking everything good, dumbing it down so everyone buys it and then throwing it in the trash when the hype is over
>socialism doesn't even produce games
so what is the middle ground?

Competitive gaming was not, e-sports definitely is.

You're retarded and clueless if you think Dota is the same thing.

No, the point of e-"sports" is to make massive fucking money off of advertising and merchandizing to the millions of 15 year old Macy Jay wanna be's (the only demographic that follows it, as is intended by the companies).

Capitalism focuses on small groups of big spenders though. Marketing to "everyone" is not a good strategy.

yeah dota is nice, sorry for making a false statement. but i'm not into mobas or rts games. i like shooters.
but what i don't like is REALISTIC shooters. i like a certain realism, but what made cs 1.6 great was the physics, wallbanging, sneak jumping, bunnyhopping, strafing, longjumping, spray-controlling a whole magazine etc.
counter-strike go has none of that. it's just a realistic shooter. it's literally just a counter-strike version of call of duty. it's just running and shooting, hell even call of duty has more depth regards movement.
i tried so often to play cs go but i just don't give a fuck. i loved counter-strike 1.6 with my heart, i couldn't stop myself playing it. but csgo, i have to force myself to play and force myself to like it.
i was 14 years old when i started playing it, so how the hell is this generation too stupid to realize what makes a good game? it can't be the age.
i swear it's all the typical follower-mindset. just play what's popular, follow the numbers.
and then they wonder when they end up being soulless zombies.

Sorry, dota is eternal, see you at TI50

to prove my point. i recently played cs 1.6 again, on a fucking normal public server. and you know what? i actually enjoyed it and felt PRETTY GOOD after playing it. had a great and fun time.

do the same with cs:go. i swear just play 2 hours and you feel like shit. you wont have a single bit of fun. cs:go is NOT fun. nobody in this game actually enjoys it, it's maybe more of masochism. you are literally just running around and shoot or get shot, nothing more.

>"then just play cs 1.6 instead of go"
I already to.

are we just gunna keep watching BASKETBALL and HOCKEY for 100 years? BASEBALL?!?!

At least it's not curling.

that's all PVP FPS is. even with R6 Siege, which is supposed to be "tactical" is just run and gun. shooters are made for the lowest common denominator in gayming. they require the least amount of iq and intelligence and more quick reflexes.... this is why they are so popular with dudebros.

all these games never compromised. they are the same as before. meanwhile esport keeps casualizing generation by generation. all the main sports have the same rules since their beginning.

I think that's just you. I have fun when I play CS.

go play cs 1.6, you'll have more fun.
>inb4 "but cs go has more players, so i play it because, yeah it has more players"
people don't play what's good, they play what's popular. and why do they play what's popular? NO FUCKING IDEA. maybe because they think they'll become a progamer and earning huge money one day? or is it the skins?
i don't really know. i believe they don't even know themselves. they just play it because they play it, no reasoning.
playing cs 1.6 = will never get anywhere career-wise, but you'll have a fun time
playing cs:go = having much less fun but believing it matters playing the game because it's in the spotlight and maybe you can become a progamer

no ones going to bring up melee? lmao its literally one of the biggest current esport titles

It really sounds like it's a problem with you and how you view the game than the game, playerbase, or anything else. Maybe take a moment to reflect on how your attitude towards playing changes when you switch games and you'll find they're both fun games.

lol

>It really sounds like it's a problem with you
typical normie cope.
it's facts. take cs:go but remove the sponsors, remove the loot boxes/skins, remove the big money it has for tournaments because of cash grabs = people would play cs 1.6 again
meanwhile cs 1.6 still is in the top played games of steam daily, even beyond a lot mainstream games. i wonder why, even without sponsors, without tournaments, without progaming scene, without loot boxes, without skins, just the pure game.
but hey, IT'S OLD AND JUST NOSTALGIA
normie cope with every argument, they can't face their own shallowness and stupidity.

People wouldn't play 1.6 because it doesn't have built it mm and isn't new nor updated officially. Sorry your favorite iteration is on life support. Again, this really just seems like you only try to win in GO but relax and fuck around in 1.6
>playing cs 1.6 = will never get anywhere career-wise, but you'll have a fun time
>playing cs:go = having much less fun but believing it matters playing the game because it's in the spotlight and maybe you can become a progamer
Try being a better gamer instead of training for high skill and you'd have fun.

Well people have been playing the same real sports for 100s of years.

Actually no, most sports are changed a lot over the years, and the ones that are still played are pretty recent. Rugby started in the 1800s, and American football and soccer came later.

When do we get a good e-sport game?

dude i played enough hours of counter-strike go and counter-strike 1.6 to be entitled to an oppinion. probably over 2000 hours of cs go and over 5000 hours at least of cs 1.6. you know what? i never go tired of cs 1.6, i stopped because cs go literally killed the playerbase, everybody was suddenly gone and the rest of the progamers basically just retired when cs go came out and stopped their career completely.
so how do you explain that i played cs 1.6 so much and enjoyed it so much even WITHOUT matchmaking, WITHOUT huge opportunities like big money and tournaments, WITHOUT new graphics, WITHOUT active development.
maybe because it's a VERY GOOD game? ah noooo, NORMIE COPE ACTIVATED: How good a game is doesn't matter, must play what everybody else is playing, NORMIE PROGRAM RUNNING.

starcraft (and Blizzard) is dying

>new esport titles
"e-sports" is just marketing the purpose is to keep people playing the same game and generate revenue from it
starcraft is different along with quake and old fighting games that still get played, they built a competitive scene organically

>game that isn't constantly receiving support from its developers to keep it alive
>on life support
embarrassing

Autism +inability to move on

keep enjoying your more and more and more casualized games normie

How does this tie into you inability to have fun because you try to be a progamer or whatever?

see, you deny all my arguments. i made it clear: counter-strike 1.6 has more depth and is more fun to play, it's more enjoyable.
but you will literally wipe all my arguments, not even notice them. and i wonder why. but i know why. you are normies and normies follow norms. and the current norm is playing counter-strike global offensive.
you do what everybody else does, you don't pick the best product, you picked the most popular product. that's what normies do, they follow norms.

>normie
Reddit

nice cope again

Normalfag, go back to /r/games

did you consider for a single split-second that cs 1.6 might be better or are your normie-genes so strong that you just can't stop playing what's the norm?

>normie
There it is again.

it's absolutely funny to observe your cope. you are literally a mind-slave to cash-grab games. have fun living your live as a slave to billionaires who cash in on your normie-behaviour.

Esports doesn't make money

Are you afraid to say fag? Is it a mental block?

normies like you exists in hordes. they tell each other that a game is good and then they repeat it over and over until everyone of them believes it and then they created a new "norm".
everything from the outside will just be coped with by saying "it's just you", "it's just nostalgia", "move on" etc.
you live in a normie bubble.

Just say it.

Mercantilism, still allows for trade and innovation and people can still get rich, but no selling out the country for more profit so no outsourcing, if something can be made in the US it is made in the US. A Mercantilist USA would have never let China grow past being rice farmers
Charging for a download or micro transaction or DLC is not capitalism, it is communist - see Karl Marx' labor theory of value

OWL: Doesn't make money
LoL esports: Doesn't make money

virtually ever esport you imagine doesn't make money. All the "pro" teams are venture funds and don't make any profit.

Esports is a huge bubble

dota 2 makes money

ez

Well they shove in lots of non esports content. Take out any in game items and see how much it makes on "esports" alone
