i think it's the sheer amount of downtime and pretty unengaging gameplay. do you tend to play games with pretty intricate combat? fallout feels like one step above dice-rolling

even a literal retard can use nexus mod manager to mod the game "enough" (even though you shouldnt)

it's an rpg with complex characters/interesting factions which - instead of being lazy and saying you're "the chosen one" - placed everything in a delicate balance that your character can tip

I've never bothered with a single mod for new vegas and I've never had any problems with it at 200+ hours.

The whole game has a fantastic western atmosphere, you'd have to be seriously retarded to need to mod the entire thing to get enjoyment out of it. I can understand why visual and gameplay mods are wanted by some people, the games not perfect, but to say vanilla is trash is absolutely ridiculous.

Ur a fgt. Mods can be nice for basic shit like having a building dedicated to storing shit in, better UI, changing difficulty, maube slight graphics changes like removing the orange filter. But the core gameplay is good and doesn't need a serious overhaul.

Nah mod organizer 2 makes it as easy as a click of a button on the website. I keep mine as minimal as i can with only a few mods such as Diagonal Movement and Freeside/Strip Open. I dont mess with the graphics because they dont bother me.

Remember that the most undervalued gun in the game is Parcerifica. It's a mini anti material rifle. Does the same damage on a critical hit. It can oneshot deathclaws. Very useful gun to get if you are high levelled for anti material rifles to spawn. Also you can get it for free off of Cliff you know how to play Caravan.
