The gameplay looked better. Still looks shit compared to other games. As someone who just finished a replay recently, you're seriously underestimating the jank of VTMB1. The gameplay does of course look shit compared to other new games however. That being said, what I'm very worried about the writing. I agree with you that it's probably gonna suck, but not for the same reasons.

The gameplay they've shown was fucking disappointing, from combat to animations, voice acting and dialogue. Everything is so bland at best, ugly and jank at worst.
