Yes, but Garleans still have aether. They simply can't manipulate it. The transformer draws your aether out for you, then shifts the aspect to lightning and transfers it into your tools.

Zenos is going to go full Sephiroth and do something where he travels around the shards grabbing the remaining parts of himself so that he can become an angel or something.

And Elidibus is going to feed us our remaining parts ala other warriors of light and inadvertently be used to stop Zenos.

I agree, and a friend of mine said they see SHB as the WOTLK of XIV and that it concerns them. I expect 6.0 is going to be a bit of a more subdued let-down, but I am having trouble seeing where they go with 7.0. However as user said about Emet coming in 4.4, think about how much shift can change in a few patches. I am still deeply concerned about Zenos being front and center. The problem with beastmaster, though I find it an interesting theory, is the struggle to pull it off as a non limited job. A limited job that lets you own any beast in the world (or most) vs a full job that limits you to probably just 1, maybe 2 and no more than 3 beasts. And how to distinguish it from the other pet class of summoner. Making beastmaster into what Ranjit was where you merge with your beast would be fucking awesome, but again it would limit you to a single beast type. And having it be a dragon with dragoon already existing and covering that aesthetic feels off. You could have the beastmaster merger be with another animal.

Funny enough the only one they really could be is Machinist, that one is totally and completely reliant on the fanny-pack on your hip for matter-energy aether conversions. WAR/DRK/PLD/GNB are out of the question because of magic, the inner beast being some vague instinctual aether thing, and the assumption you're enchanting your own cartridges which Thancred bumped into, DRG/NIN/MNK/SAM all use aether for their physical feats, all healers and caster DPSes are out, BRD and DNC use aether.

If not, how can they return the world to it's perfect state with a dead reflection they can't do anything with? And did the shards that were rejoined have some sort of cataclysmic event that resulted in them being rejoined that coincided with a calamity on the source? I say that because the first was going to be flooded by light and that would've resulted in the eighth calamity if I'm following correctly. Sorry, it's just kind of confusing trying to piece it all together.

Isn't the whole reason the WoL was able to contain the lightwarden's Light and use it to fuck up Emet in the end because Ardbert joined with him in the final moments, thus restoring some of his soul's integrity ?

Even if the WoL realized that, Emet still probably would have to die for the Light to be extinguished.

Also, could the blessing of light with the 6 aspected crystals be us Rejoining with our other soul fragments from the other shards?

They can't, but they only need one more to wake up Zodiark. The goal has changed to waking him up and asking for their loved ones back, it's no longer about fully restoring the entire world.

Yes, every Calamity on the Source is a Rejoining. Bahamut was the latest one, the Astral/Darkness Calamity.

Can there be a repeat on aspected calamities? Like there was a calamity of wind, but could there be another calamity on another shard that would be wind-aspected? What shard was rejoined from the seventh calamity?
