It has no games. Dont believe Yea Forumsintendogaf because all the shitch has is indie games and ports
Easton Martinez
its a well worthwhile system. As a PC gamer its the main place a buy indies just because they will more or less run the same and i can play it mobile. That being said wait for the next generation/incarnation. mine is launch and its not nearly as bad as some peoples but it has had some issues
Colton Hernandez
Wait another year for the revised model.
Gavin Butler

THIS
They haven’t even announced an “improved model” yet so it will be at least a year if not longer. Why wait?! I honestly regretted waiting a year and a half to get mine.
The Switch is pretty incredible and now has a healthy library of games. We are at peak Switch NOW. Its especially good if you’re a busy adult (which i’m assuming) since its so easy to pick up and play.
lmao this seething mentally ill loser is so traumatised by the success of the Switch that he's devoted his entire life to shitposting about it.
Benjamin White
HURR DURE WAIT FOR THE SWITCH PRO
Besides that it hasn’t even been confirmed (only rumors) What new features are you guys expecting exactly? After all, there won’t be any exclusive games, that would fragment the userbase.
Jackson Howard
Anyone is right. I had a modded switch and even free games weren't enough for it and I sold it after it sat unused for months. All first party games are Wii U ports. All 3rd party games are inferior ports. Super Mario Party sucks ass. Literally no reason to enjoy this console.
Connor Morris
didnt the New 3DS have exclusive games like for Example Minecraft?
Sebastian Gomez
There are five worthwhile games
BoTW (PC and Wii U) Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Super Mario Odyssey Super Mario Maker 2 Mario Rabbids
The rest of the games are third party stuff that runs worse, enhanced ports like Mario Deluxe or Tropical Freeze, and indies.
It lacks several stuff like video streaming services (Netflix, CR), folders, only two themes (Black and White), Joy cons have drifting problems after some months so you will need a Pro Controller, online is terrible (Smash and Maker multiplayer modes play like shit), you only get NES ROMS for it and not every game supports cloud saves
Wait for a revision but it's not the best thing ever.
Thomas Miller
>Fortnite >Zoom Zoom
Owen Wood
>BOTW (PC) >”indie games aren’t worthwhile” >”highly rated WiiU ports aren’t worthwhile either” >”wait for the revision” (of which none has been announced)
Don’t believe the misinformation, of which there is A LOT on Yea Forums. It certaintly isn’t perfect, mostly the online is very flawed. But the hardware itself is a joy to play. Theres a reason it is selling like crazy.
Mason Cruz
Library is a bit boring right now minus a couple games. Since you own a wiiU you won’t get much out of the switch
where the fuck is the extra hundred dollars coming from
Lincoln Foster
Because of Nintendo fanboys (a fucking joy to play) like yourself and because it offers portable modern games, albeit at vastly reduced fps and graphical fidelity and often with fps drops. Multplat games will always be better on PC. If you want profitability, just get a laptop where you'll get better performance for the same price and there's no need to pay for online.
Camden Rogers
The fact that there's a Fortnite Switch bundle just says it all about what audience Nintendo is aiming for: little kids. I'd be embarrassed to own a console that was bundled with fucking Fortnite.
Ryder Hernandez
I got one because I moved far from home and left all my vidya back home for now. It has enough games to scratch the itch.
Jordan Hernandez
Isn’t fortnite free anyways?
Lincoln Price
Controllers and online subscription. And extra controller is 50 (vital for most co op games, if not another switch entirely like with Monster hunter Gen U) and 20 for each year of online play.
Cameron Taylor
It’s 380+tax and tip here
William Williams
It is; you get an exclusive skin with that bundle. Enough to make kids want to buy it, like with the Switch minecraft edition with Nintendo skins.
Levi Price
Why didnt you just bring a laptop?
Ayden Brooks
>Controllers and online subscription. $20 a year (currently coasting off the free year from Amazon Prime) and it comes with a full controller already, the Pro Controller isn't a necessity by any stretch when the dog-head lump of plastic they give you for sliding joycons in roughly approximates it.
Angel Torres
I'm sorry, Canuck.
Grayson Diaz
lots of co op games you can just use joy cons so you dont need more controllers unless you want to do 4 players.
if you just care about nintendo games and indie shit then the online isnt really worth it
Aaron Davis
Why the fuck is TWEWY that low?
Joshua Cook
It's a great system, but if you've played everything that got ported to the NS on WiiU, then I'd hold off until the revisions happen in the fall of this year.
Caleb Reed
I remember there being something similar to this except for DS games.
Elijah Fisher
>PLG on mid tier Fuck you. That game sucks
Gavin Hill
This actually honestly. I don't think any of the first party games/exclusives are really all that great, not bad, but nothing spectacular.
But as he says, frankly I play most demanding stuff on PC so the Switch is a great place for me to make any lighter game indie purchases, or older remakes that I never got a chance to play. Just recently picked up okami for the switch - which running the game in handheld with the ability to just use my finger to draw on screen is really nice. Thus, waiting for a "revised" model I think defeats the purpose of getting one now. The revised edition would either be more powerful or be like the 2ds, both of which don't really matter when you should be concerned with the only reason to get a switch which is portability. If you don't care about that, then I don't think it would be worth it.
Parker Wilson
consider if you would actually make use of the portability, then and only then should you get it. I make great use of it on my night shift, and since I don't have any other current gen consoles i get to play games like CTR when I'm home
Levi Nguyen
my question about the switch is how do they look on a 4k TV? Been thinking about it too, but idk how i feel about 720p on a 4k screen
Benjamin Reed
I just upgraded from a 32" 1080p TV to a 50" 4k tv. It looks the same really, doesn't seem better or worse, text is still sharp etc.
Josiah Turner
Most games run at 900p or 1080p docked. Similar to what a base Xbone would. Only graphically intensive ports like Doom run at 720p docked.
Jace Smith
Read between the lines OP and you should know if trust this post or not.
Mason Smith
Yeah nah m8. No way that happens
Mason Ramirez
Well lets see what's on there exclusively for you Genuinely great >Odyssey >Mario Maker 2 >Smash Ultimate >Splatoon 2
Might be worth checking out depending on your tastes >Xenoblade 2 >Mario/Rabbids >ARMS
Supplemental >Yoshi's Crafted World >Kirby Star Allies >Mario Tennis >Mario Party
Then there's actually a decent amount of stuff upcoming >Luigi's Mansion 3 >Fire Emblem Three Houses >Astral Chain >Ultimate Alliance 3 >Animal Crossing >Dragon Quest XI (not exclusive but depending on how much of a fan you are this is apparently the version to get)
Also see you in TBD hell faggot >No More Heroes 3 >Bayo 3 >Prime 4 >BotW 2
So there's a decent variety of exclusives. I'd never dump a bunch of money at once though. That just makes you desperate to justify your purchase. This is just my preference, but exclusivity isn't everything for me here. There are quite a few games I preferred to get on Switch just because the portability was convenient for me. It's a nice supplemental system to have to PC or a more powerful console.
Alexander Thomas
You forgot Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle which is a pretty good game
Colton Sanchez
Does Switch have any decent fighting with good offline modes? (I mean actual fighting game, not smash)
Cooper Ramirez
>NMH3 in that last category Seems further along Metroid and Smt 5
Jordan Phillips
thanks
Jonathan Wilson
Where are you dumbasses hearing this from?
Literally only ONE article, from the NYT, stated one of their suppliers was ramping up for updated hardware, and it had an "unnamed source". Everyone else just referenced that NYT article. Stop believing rumors. Its mid year, if there were an updated model by Christmas, we would have proof by now.
Sebastian Jenkins
It's there.
John Price
Don't fall for the portmachine op, wait for the pro version of the next gen, they are already planning the Switch successor
Zachary Hughes
Because I don't have or need an $800 "gaming laptop".
Noah Robinson
I just want games to run better, I'm fine with games looking like 7th gen as long as the frame rate and resolution is up to snuff. Daemon X Machina looks neat but the frame rate in the demos is ass so a pro model might fix that.
