Where l lived, the only persons who argued that the megadrive was better than the snes were the ones who bought a megadrive right when it came out because they wanted a 16-bit system. Boy, how they seethed... Their only argument for a time was uncensored Mortal Kombat. When II came out uncensored on the snes, I swear it was like they were denied the only thing that was good in their life.

genesis was like the xbox one of that gen. it had a bunch of shitty knockoffs or literally who titles, and the super nintendo had everything made by capcom. enjoy your 3 button street fighter 2

Aladdin genesis was definitely higher quality. Visually it was very impressive for its time. Streets of rage also agree with. vectorman was harder then megaman x for me as a kid never beat it. They both really good games.
