How do you find games to play? I'm in a major rut and have nothing to play.
How do you find games to play? I'm in a major rut and have nothing to play
Start by not being some fag who only plays shit from one or two genres.
By looking.
Have sex
Play a fun New game with /v) I had a lot of fun three kingdoms shitposting.
Open up the Nintendo eShop to see if anything good is on sale and look at the new releases
I'm not going to play a game from a genre that I already know I hate like turn-based shit, racing or puzzle games.
Maybe you just haven't found the right ones yet
You can't just play one game in a genre and write them all off
Yes I can if I don't like the core aspects of the game. Turn based shit, racing, and puzzles does not appeal to me at all. It could be the best game in the genre and I'd still hate it.
core aspects of the genre*
whatever my dick tells me to
Browsing genres that you like and looking up reviews that arent made by review companies. Emulating older classics, 100% a game you've already beaten and love. pick up games with cult followings. It's alot easier than it seems op you just have to know where to look.
These games are a waste of time. Better to just nut to normal porn.
Where am I supposed to look? I pretty much played everything I know of that I'm interested in in the genres I like. Only thing that's really left is emulation and I'm not touching that with a 10ft pole.
>Not touching emulation with a ten foot pole.
kek. What genres do you like
Basically anything that's not a sim, racing, puzzle or turn-based.
I usually look back 10 years and see what was good.
you've probably never had sex.
I got one for about every genre
>Shooter
go grind the fuck out of bl2, no regrets when I did
>Point and click
Grim fandango, good writing, but honestly can get confusing at times
>Roguelike
Deadcells, picked it up for 20$, from what I've played so far it's one of the best roguelikes I've played
>Platformer
Gravity Rush, not really sure if you'd call this a platformer or a beat em up but when I played it in 2016 I played until 100% completion, 2 is shit tho(looks great but runs at 30 fps)
>I don't know what the fuck
Devil May Cry V, This game is weird because I havent played much of it but the whole Idea is to be as badass as possible and see how stylishly you can kill guys. super fun
>Mmo
Warframe, it's free and you're a fucking space ninja, i think that's enough said
>older title
Dead rising, kill fuck loads of zombies with a heavy machine gun duck taped to a stuffed teady bear.
>Rpg
Ni no kuni 2:Revenant kingdom, its just now dropping in price and it's hella good. Has a studio gjibli artstyle and it just emits this childish magic that keeps me coming back. really fun loot system too along with pretty fun combat.
I start up Steam, scroll through my gigantic library of untouched games and then go back to stare at Yea Forums all day
You don’t. Every game made in or after 2007 has been objectively 100% pure shit made for casual shit-eaters that don’t know any better, vidya is dead. The fact that you can’t find anything interesting to play only tells that you have a good taste and should be happy about it.
Thanks for the recs, user. I've already played most of these except for Grim Fandango, Ni no kuni 2:Revenant kingdom and Gravity Rush. I only have a PC so I can't play Gravity Rush but I'll check out the other two.
That's a very broad opinion user
Oh also, psychonauts is pretty good, Great writing. fun characters, colorful world and 2 is coming out soon. i played it to see what all the fuss was about when I was in around 9th grade, it's been my favorite 3d platformer since. Mario 64 can't touch the amount of fun I had playing this game too.
>Deadcells
not a roguelike
