My Ayutthaya army is losing with Bengal army. The thing is my army has 21k soldiers (15k infantry/6k cavalry) and bengal army has only 6k soldiers. Why the fuck do i lose that?
EUIV
General, traditions, tech, terrain, upkeep slider?
>Didn't convert to Islam
Dear god, are you waging war while still stuck in buddhism?
lot of potential reasons. military tech is probably the biggest factor. even a couple of levels of miltech is enough to make you lose, but bengal also has good military traditions. also you're using too much cavalry, they're way too expensive for what they give you.
>islam
he needs hindu for that sweet 5% discipline.
you probably crossed a river to a mountain terrain and got -2 & -1
also morale, tradition, general
That requires taking mainland india or fagging off into indonesia. Islam is closer.
morale, disc, combat ability, combat tactics from technology, terrain penalty, crossing penalty, dice rolls which is the only thing you're gonna blame, general pips,
What do you mean bro there are Hindu provinces right next to Ayyuthaya at game start in Champa and Khmer
see the chad move is to fully annex Khmer at game start then flip to Hindu, then whenever you’re stable flip to Sikh for 10% morale and other bonus events
Sunni isn't that much better assuming he stays on neutral karma. Vajrayana best buddhism though
you actually only utilized 8k inf and 2/4k cav in that battle due to how maneuver works (it's retarded)
x+2 infantry +2/4 cavalry when you outnumber the enemy
Sikh only sucks because you're going to be taking an insane amount of aggressive expansion for just sneezing on sunni, buddhist and hindu countries.
Sikh is nice during 2 gurus, but otherwise I prefer the hindu stat events.
There are a bunch of hindu event chains that raise your ruler skill.
I think one that you can get if you have shakti gives you +2 diplo skill.
After getting the event you get a modifier that prevents you from getting it again.
I'm sure they've fixed it now, but when I last played punjab I got the even as hindu, then I switched religion to sikh.
Which removed the modifier, since it was a religious modifier, but then it triggered the event again giving me another +2 diplo.
Then I accepted hindu rebel demands to go back to hindu, triggering it again.
Went from having something like a 4/0/6 ruler, to a 4/6/6 ruler within a month.
Plus the events are spread througout the game when EU4 is all about getting as powerful as possible as quickly as possible. Shia lets you kill shit faster and with fewer men lost, but most importantly you get tolerance so you don't have to deal with a million rebels all day.
Shia and Sikh both get the 10% morale bonus don't they? Those are good early, but I prefer hindu's 5% discipline for later on.
There is no "later on" in EU4. Once you dominate your region you can just roll over the rest of the world.
Well, later on is the age of absolutism which is the most important period in the game for expansion. The goal is really get a powerful base (maybe like 1200-1500 dev) before 1600, then after that getting 100 absolutism and just blobbing like a madman.
Really? I only play ever shit tier nations like Taungu on Very Hard and I generally surpass the Ming by 1490.
Wish I could succeed with the microcountries I always get my ass kicked
best thing to do as microcountries is drill/rent out your armies to get huge tradition for when you expand
