It's too easy to get SSS in DMC3, and DMC4's arsenal isn't very satisfying. DMC5 is a very nice middleground.

I did then I went back to 4 because 5 is just worse due to all the poorly designed garbage.

and balrogs jabs are flimsy trash that never even look or feel like they're hitting their target but their hit box is like 10 times bigger than their attack animation so enemies take damage even tho your just punching and not connecting way above their heads. & they replace actual combos.

The Balrog jab is everything I wanted since DMC3 Beowulf made you do a three hit combo before being able to lay waste with fists.

Meanwhile, Gilgamesh in DMC4 is, as was stated, too slow for multi enemy combat, which DMC4's BP excels at.

The funny thing was I wasn't even talking about player built combos. I was talking about the variation that you get out of the (Y) button (pause, mash combos and such). balrog has no (Y) combos, the button is completely wasted on 1 short unsatisfying animation that you spam over and over.

DMC5 is honestly such a soulless game. It's obvious that it was made just so that you could make your own bing bang wahoo cuhrayzee videos. The actual game is extremely mediocre.

But the combo videos from this game suck because the low skill ceiling & slower more restricted gameplay means nothing is really impressive.

I understand it has no Y combos. So you compensate by making your own. Is this your first DMC game?

I can't believe I'll say this, but I regret getting it day one. I find myself going back to DMC4 more than playing this nowadays. I might eventually getting a PC copy just to play around with Turbo, Inertia and reversals. The base game is WAY too slow.

Donguri has been olaying on PC with mods for months now, as have all the major players since the vanilla game is slow and boring as fuck

Yup. I gave up on DMC5 after I managed to recreate the entirety of a Donguri combo in about 15 minutes, at which point I went back to DMC4.
I miss turbo and I miss Inertia. Maybe it's my 1242 hours of DMC4 speaking, but DMC5 feels like it's underwater

Yes. I can farm about 400k from the last checkpoint to the end. Just repeat it. Use Faust + Hat Trick. If you don’t get hit, you’ll gain 400k each run though. Then just continue from checkpoint.
