Speaking of which I’m thinking of picking up all three games, I know 3 got mixed reception but is it bad enough to skip?

What the hell can you like about that trainwreck? The only good thing I can say about it is the shooting feels good. But that's not enough to make up for the godawful story, bastardization of all the characters, clunky controls, and that it wasn't scary, whatsoever

There was some cheesy shit but I didn't let that ruin my experience. I went in knowing it was going to be a straight action game and wasn't let down in the slightest.

Dead space 3?
no way that was the best outta of the three
DS1 was the best in terms of atmospere/horror(a bit reliant on jumpscares but i forgive it)
DS2 was the best gameplay in the series at the cost of the claustrophobic horror(good in its own way however)
DS3 was just a weaker version of 2 with half-baked ideas. Don't even get me started on the micro-transactions(this game + ME3 gave birth to EAs throbbing boner for MTs)

I'd ONLY play if you have Co-op. it has some cool fucking features that can only be experienced in Co-op ( i won't spoil it )
It's the weakest of the trilogy bar none
