Yes, if you like stacking blocks and making stuff. There isn't much regular gameplay to speak of, you want Terraria for that, but Minecraft is still probably the most satisfying game to build houses and shit in. I still recommend playing in survival even if you want to make stuff though, because having infinite access to all blocks removes the warm fuzzy feeling of actually building something. The effort in collecting all the shit you want really adds to it.

if you like to build, then yeah. even if you're not super creative, it's fun to come up with something in your head and then work to create it. if you're expecting anything else, though, it's not good. they keep adding "adventure" content but it's just bad. terraria has fun adventuring content, if that's what you're looking for.

press f3 and then f2 to take a screenshot of your coordinates to not get lost, or make a compass, or make maps
