For a lot of people, myself included, Halo reminds me of a simpler time. When my friends and I would stay up until 3 or 4 playing just one more match of big team battle or team slayer.

Halo is like that friend in high school you really liked and hung out with all the time. Then, one day, life took you in a different direction. You moved away from your hometown and he stayed. You tried to keep in contact, every once in a while he would visit but then something major happened (Halo 4 and 5) and neither of you seem to have the time. Maybe you changed. Maybe he changed. It doesn't matter because you both have moved on.

Halo is selling well under 343 though, Halo 4 sold over 6 million in the US in 2013, if Halo 3 sold over 5 million in 2008 putting it at 8 million in sales it's clear that Halo 4 had already reached 9 million, meaning the it reached up to 12 million in sales worldwide by 2014, Halo 5 sold over 10 million by 2017.

I rate them by campaign, Halo 2 and Halo 5 kept making lose interest with how much they kept switching to Arbiter and Locke. Doesn't really matter though since Halo CE and Halo 3 are the only Halo games with truly good campaigns that 343 need to learn from but going by Infinite it seems they're finally learning.

The Covenant were the best in CE, Bungie ruined them in Halo 2 like 343 ruined the Forerunners in Halo 4, Halo 3 they were fun to fight but still not as good as they were in CE.

I'm not being a nigger but I genuinely think sprint and that auto jump over ledges feature will kill Infinite for a lot of people to the point they will play for a few dozen hours at most before never touching multiplayer again. Just jumping around was really important in Halo, it would be depressing if everytime I jumped I auto climbed a ledge instead of jumping off a tiny jag in the model to boost myself higher while fighting and trick jump somewhere.

Besides playing Chief the entire campaign, there were some cool moments I enjoyed in the campaign, I mean Halo 2 had it too but playing Arbiter was just such a buzzkill plus the boss fights and ending along with only 7 levels in the game.

That scale is interesting. A lot of people don't realize the covenant are literally just cavemen who stumbled upon extremely advanced technology and stole it for themselves, never fully realizing how to properly utilize it and even misusing civilian or industry-grade vehicles and tools for war equipment. If humanity had the technology, they'd occupy that entire region of space in less than half the time it took the covenant to occupy their own region.

Every halo was the one before it but better by your standards, H3 is shit on by H2 fans nonstop aswell.

I'm seeing numbers quite a bit different, indicating that Halo 3 sold nearly 3x as many copies as 5. And we both know 4 initially was riding off the original games popularity. Halo is in no way the same kind of "killer app" it once was. CE and 2 basically allowed MS to even get involved in the console space. It's really clear that 5 in no way has that same kind of impact, and these games do not have the kind of legs the original trilogy had. Despite the industry growing considerably, sales have declined.

If sprint and clamber are in i'm not touching the multiplayer. I dropped H5 after maybe 12 hours.
