Never really got in to it. I like the music and some of the artwork but that is it. I was more in to Ar Tonelico. As for being relevent, i would say yea it still is. More relevent than my one. From what i have heard about ZUN he is cool with most things and has alowed the community to flesh out the world he made. This is a great way to make it relevent. Let people go wild with fan games,music, videos.

On the other hand, some fans that used to draw 2hu 24/7 switched to KanColle and never looked back. Some of them are still plugging along with boats, some moved on to other things.

I don't think it'll ever truly die as long as content keeps coming out. Even if ZUN dies or stops making the games. My impression is that the series' popularity was at its peak around 15 years ago with Imperishable Night. With UFO onward, it feels like the popularity has been on a steady decrease since. It definitely seems like it's more in the background these days. I'm probably wrong but WBaWC doesn't seem like it has a ton of excitement even though it comes out relatively soon.
