What up Yea Forums! I have played a shit ton of Dragon's Dogma, but never touched Bitter Black Isle.
I want to try this thing called: The Orphan Run as my first attempt. Is this going to ruin the experience for me or do you guys think this could be fun?
Note:
My current character was a warrior for the first play through and a sorcerer on the second. So I have a high enough level character to take it on either way.
It's going to ruin it. Some monsters are immune to melee and some are immune to spells. It will be frustrating to do.
You better go in and explore an awesome dungeon than something like this

Dragon's Dogma is a game you beat by abusing high level abilities and item stacking. You will ever be able to get past the first foor if you impose "no looting" and "no running past".
Have you ever even played this game? Figured you'd know this brain dead simple shit about it.

Why do retards come up with this stupidly restrictive challenges that make the game a fucking pain in the ass to play? You get nothing out of it other than an empty feeling of accomplishment and the right to brag about something no one but uber-autists give a shit about.
You can get a surprising amount done using knockdowns, grappling, and nearby ledges, like picking up the wolves in the first room and throwing them off the balcony, or tricking the one mandatory living armor into suiciding. There’s also conveniently placed explosive barrels and a big pile of throwblasts in one of the early rest areas. You can kill the gazer with nothing but those.
Trying to kill absolutely everything at a low level is an exercise in futility, though.

You probably wouldn’t have too much trouble until the midnight helix. That gargoyle is a serious pain at low levels, at least without a pawn to blast it while you pin it down. The real wall is the chained gorecyclops, which you can’t ignore because of the “kill everything” rule. You could spend an hour cheesing it to death with ranged attacks, but the two melee only classes are fucked.

No reasonable person, not even the devs, expect you to take on a condemned gorecyclops that early. That's why it's chained up. Might as well say "nu uh runs impossible since u can't kill death at the start."

OP's picture doesn't specify that. But it does say you can't run past the enemies in the first room. If you could run past enemies, this would just be a normal low level BBI playthrough instead of retarded autism.
