The established canon Claire wasn't really a supermodel. They decided her true look in CV, and in it she's just a regular plastic-skin 3d anime doll just like every other RE character from that point all the way to RE6. Or more specifically just like every other character in a Japanese 3d game that didn't try to do the Guilty Gear thing. They weren't supermodels. They were cartoon characters lazily translated into 3d with no flaws. These new characters are real faces scanned into a game, for better or for worse.

nuClaire was designed to appeal to the audience that finds average or someone 'off' looking girls attractive, as those have an easier time gaining 'cuteness' points than actually hot girls. Compare to Ada who looks far better but is far less popular. Also compared to other popular waifus like BOTW Zelda.
Basically, being gorgeous is out, being 'accessible' is in.

The game is more fun with a controller. It makes movement way better since it's 360 degrees of motion and therefore not so dependent on your mouse precision. Also controller lets you slow-walk / slow-run by only moving the stick partway

I thought remaking one of the classics with a proper third person camera would be the end of RE fans criticizing the idea of superior control on the grounds that it's supposed to be clunkier and therefore being able to play better is a bad thing but I guess I was wrong.

The only way to get that to happen on anything other than Assisted difficulty is to play on Normal and to be running exactly in the opposite direction of the lunging zombie's grab. I have only ever gotten the zero damage push once and I'm pretty sure on Hardcore it's impossible. That webm was done on Assisted. There's no other way to get it that easily.

You have to get grabbed from the side while you're running so that they would tackle you to the floor if they got you. I have deliberately experimented with trying to get it to happen while using a trainer for infinite health and freezing the adaptive difficulty rank (1-4 = assisted, 5-8 = standard, 9-12 = hardcore), and I've had it happen on hardcore ranks before a couple times.
Absolutely nothing about the using the controls to force a grab-escape to happen is ever consistent. I'm 90% sure it's just a dice roll whether or not you get it. The higher the difficulty rank, the lower the odds are of it happening. *Maybe* how late the zombie catches you in its grab-animation is also a factor.
