The game plays in real time, you put character in lanes and every 3-4 second they attack each other, kinda like a real time version of that HOMM TCG if anyone remembers that

There are 4 color and each one has a specific strategy, each color has 2 character

There's red which focus on direct damage whose character are Ryu and Rathalos,
Green is the opposite and focus on defense, the character are chun-li and a very edgy version of X with glowing eyes,
Purple is about tricks like debuffs or halting the enemy with spells and has Morrigan and Dante as the playable
Dark (Blue?) Is about self sacrifice and graveyard shenigans and feature Albert Wesker and nargigante

Each character has a special move and apparently learns more as you play with him, most amusing X special move involve him pulling out a heart tank

I think this game has potential, it's certainly more involved and complicated than the capcom Vs snk card game and we all liked that but I haven't played enough to just blindly recommend it

The art is really nice and the small touch like chun li using her classic victory poses or cards featuring even relatively obscure characters like the maverick from X1 are really nice

it's actually pretty simple, it's mostly about building a deck can simultaneously neutralize the opponents attack on your HP along with abilities that destroy their field cards or buff you so you can attack their HP. read the card descriptions, you need to outlast your opponent. i know that reads like 'just reduce your opponents HP to zero' but if you think about ways to achieve that the basic gameplan starts to make sense.
