Is 2-3 the worst the series ever gets? I just beat Justice for All and I’m moving on to Trials and Tribulations.
Is 2-3 the worst the series ever gets? I just beat Justice for All and I’m moving on to Trials and Tribulations
Probably although it's still alright at times
Should have been less commited to lolz funny circus people and more to the wholesome side of things with how the loss of Russel affects the circus & the mood, and how Acro is supposed to be sympathetic ( Although he clearly took things too far & kind of is retarded but it could pass )
4-3
for the real trilogy? absolutely, with 2-4 being the best of them. trials and trib is a wonderful game though. dont play past it.
>don't play past it
Dumb wojak poster.
2-4 was alright but I still liked 1-4 and 1-5 better
This is a terrible opinion. The original trilogy might have been the best, but there isn't a single objectively bad Ace Attorney game.
if you just count the trilogy then yes, it's the worst one.
You don't have to fear much with T&T, there's a reason it's always ranked in the highest tiers here
4-3 gets around that level, the other "bad" cases are mostly just mediocre.
There are a lot of mouthbreathers on this board who will tell you 4-4 is a good case, but it's essentially bad fan fiction. There's a flashback case in which phoenix is super out of character (He's acting like a hotshot dismissive ass, he even drops the line "there's no substitute for experience" which is the last thing someone like him should say), there are a number of weird inconsistencies that either never get brought up or are never resolved, and the whole case's message shoots itself in the foot with 5 frames of animation at the very end at the voting phase. Plus Apollo is a complete non entity in his own story and finale.
I finished T&T recently, and I don't exactly know how I feel about the last case. It was a good ending to the trilogy, but it didn't feel all that spectacular.
How does it compare to the absolute majesty of 1-4?
None of the AA games are bad, worst is Apollo and that's just cuz its slower.
The 3ds games are both great, Simon and Athena are great new characters.
Personally hoping for a 2nd trilogy to come to switch before 7 does
Should I try Investigations if just because I love Edgeworth?
The fourth game has a case worse than 2-3.
Yeah. Investigations 1 is alright, the cases are not that special but some of the characters are good.
Investigations 2 is godlike.
1-4 was great. Though it was a while since I played it for the first time. I should replay it so I'll be able to experience it again.
Not that guy and I think the final case of T&T is really good, but 1-4 is the best case in the franchise.
Investigations is the next best thing after the original trilogy.
3-5 on its own is actually just an average case. It's taking into consideration 3-1, 3-4, 2-1, 1-4, and 1-2 all together that makes it incredible.
Meanwhile, 2-4 and 1-4 both hold up on their own as incredible finales.
The worst part of 2-4 is the localization, which is just really awkward a lot of the times. Also the absolute best line in the series You're lying dammit! And I can prove it! is wasted on fucking Old Bag for some trivial detail.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you mean Investigations 2.
AA6 = AAI2 > DGS > AA5 = AAvPL > AAI = AA4
>2-1
You meant 2-2
I sure did. Thanks for the correction!
i really thought 2-3 was overhated and the last case in 2 was super fucking overrated
i can deal with the clown. i just read it as him having a mental breakdown and getting nervous and falling back on his tired jokes, which didn't land, making him more nervous and spew more jokes that fed into it all the more. the cape thing was fucking awful though.
but the last case? everyone fucking fellates that awful trash
>DUDE FEED MY CAT EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THE KILLER IS AT MY HOUSE
>phoenix forgets the face of the man who kidnapped maya, despite the gigantic fucking scar in the center of his face
>killer gets away in the end scott free
Worst fucking case in the series
I know. It's just that what Godot did felt kind of petty and dumb
Though I was also spoiled to all of the big reveals by that point, so I didn't experience it the proper way.
Shi-Long Lang and Debeste in mainline when?
Lang and Blackquill are my favorite rivals in the series and Debeste has one of my favorite arcs
>they figure out that the killer is at his house because Phoenix hears a cat over the walkie talkie
2-4’s only saving grace is that cute blonde chick
>gigantic fucking scar in the center of his face
user, what are you talking about?
even that was fucking stupid because the first thing he says over the walkie talkie is that "SOMEONE INTELLIGENT is framing him" and if you look at the court record the only thing in her profile is "She's intelligent" so it kind of beats you over the head with the fact that she's framing him
i'm talking about the gigantic fucking scar in the center of his face
He looks like he's smiling there and that's honestly more terrifying than how I usually perceive his face.
2-4 had a lot of great bits. Edgeworth blowing the fuck out of Franziska as literally the first thing he does when he shows up again is worth the price of admission on its own. Gumshoe is pretty based (as always), Engarde is a neat client, the mystery is a straightforward murder case rather than some contrived 'whoops I set up an elaborate system of pulleys to turn one room upside down and create a fake alibi by training a dog to make shadow puppets that look like my face to trick the pizza delivery guy I remote called to my house into thinking I was home at the time of the murder' that 2-3, 3-2, and 3-3 were all doing.
Those are stitches user, not every injury that requires stitches to fix leaves a scar. or are you saying all baseballs are scarred now?
do you not see the giant split down the middle of his face the stitches are holding together or what
They are definitely suspicious though
Butz kills Misty Fey on 3-5
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
>sars are perfectly straight black lines
user... have you never seen a scar before?
I loved 3-5. The investigation parts were the most fun in all the series, and it tied the main fey/kurain plotline really nice together overall.
Imagine getting that kind of injury that would've basically opened up his entire face and actually recover from it
