Bomberman and Spring Man, definitely. Alucard if we don't mind another Konami character, Isaac otherwise. I haven't played much Golden Sun but he seems like he'd have the most potential out of the rest.

Mother is to this day inspiring games with its unique tone and Xenoblade is a still running and successful JRPG series.

Anyone else feel Zero & Alucard are better choices than the large majority of the remaining 3rd parties? Their respective sub series are still huge landmarks in Vidya history & beloved classics, and the two characters themselves are extremely versatile and could make for great characters to play as.
